my LO just turned 5 months a couple days ago and he has started to pull himself up from sitting when im holding his hands. his little butt swaying when hes trying to crawl is super adorable and hes starting to get the hang of it, realy consistent with the backwards scooting but not so great at the forwards.
LO is on the way to crawling, she was scooting backwards, but the past 2 days she has been getting up on hands and knees and lunging herself forward. I think she has the knee movement figured out, just trying to decided what to do with her arms. It's pretty funny, sometimes her legs keep going and she ends up balanced on her head and legs( some really common yoga pose, I can't recall the name of right now...maybe downward dog)!
All day lo says "mamamamamamma mamamamma mamma" clearly doesn't put it together with me but still! And she also has been saying baba baba meanwhile won't drink one!
^^^ mine says dada. We thought for sure she wasn't associating it with DH, but she lit up when he came home from work tonight and said it clear as day. So, maybe she does?
Maybe although she definetly says it just to say it! Today I put her in the crib for a nap and she starts crying mama mama. I almost picked her up it was so cute
My LO is such a happy guy! Almost never cries (unless dad accidentally scares him) has been sttn since 12 weeks, sleeps consistently from 8-7. He puts himself to sleep now in his crib, which is so exciting! Thinks the dogs are hysterical and laughs every time they make eye contact with him. Loves to cuddle and hug. Starting to sit on his own, no teeth yet but a drool machine. I don't think we're anywhere near crawling and he's only rolled a couple times, but that's ok! ill take my happy laughing baby any day!
Being pregnant with # 2 sure makes me nervous im going to get a monster next time around!
I'm right with you. Elle sleeps from 8-8 . Puts herself too sleep. Rarely cries. I just know this baby is going to drive me straight up a wall. lol
My little guy pulled himself up to standing position on the side of the couch. Only lasted a few seconds bc his own squeal scared him and he plopped back down to sitting. Lol he looks so cute standing bc he's so tiny!
I'm going to brag about myself because exclusively pumping is so effing hard and I still have 1200oz stored and 5 days of milk in the fridge at all times.
I told myself I would stop at 6months but it's just become a way of life now. Maybe 8 months.

Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.

Awesome! With that much of a stash, if you quit pumping at 8 months, could you make it to a year on breast milk?
Elle learned to -pat a cake- she will clap, roll, throw hands up then "eat em up" .. She was the earliest from my bunch to do this. ( she's be 6 months on the 29th) having said that she won't sit up without a pillow. Lol

@dancegurl1118 Hell yeah! I have almost 30 ounces now (ok fine, more like 20), and I have a whooooole new respect for pumping mamas. 1200 is amazing!!!
Preface: my baby is NOT talking. Sometimes he nails the coincidental sounds though.
LO has been making M sounds and "mamamama" sounds lately. (No clue that could be associated with the boob lady.) So yesterday I was trying to coax him to say "dadadadada." He paused for a second, looked at me, and clear as day said, "Mom." He has no idea what he "said" but the timing was hilarious!
My babies are champions at shots. Both of them cried for less than 1 minute, then they were playing, giggling, and laughing once they got home. My girl is in the jumperoo, enjoying her evening.
P.S. My boy got his shots last week, my girl got hers today because she had a fever last week.
This is not LO related, but I am bragging. And this is also self-serving but I consider you guys friends now, so tough luck.
Our kitchen is a finalist for a best remodel award! There's nothing at stake, just bragging rights over a reader's choice award from a very specific website. The kitchen was my baby. The contractor didn't want to deal with the cabinets, so I did. DH made the countertops. Anyway, if you want to read it or vote (Sam's polished powdercoat, cough cough, ahem) here's the link. And welcome to my kitchen!
Thanks guys! I'm happy with it now, but I was pregnant for the last 3 months of a complete house remodel (poor timing on my part) and it was really stressful. It is nice to know it was worth it, but for a while I regretted buying a fixer upper. It is not for the faint of heart.
@mindaa The house is done. We lived in a tiny apartment for 7 months while it was being gutted. It was not livable when we bought it. The plan was to move in, then start trying for #2 a month later since we were quite stressed. Instead, we were careless one night. The funny thing is I kept threatening our contractor (a friend) if he took too long I would get knocked up so he'd have a hormonal client to deal with. We didn't tell him until the project was done.

edit for spelling (ive got a bandaid on my thumb)
No tolerance for screw ups! Get that baby trained! She shows real promise, if only she could master patterns.
