WARNING: Do not read this thread if you compare too much and make yourself feel bad!!
End of warning.
I've seen more than a few mamas say they don't post about their LOs STTN out of courtesy to those of us (ahem! ME!!) whose babies haven't figured that out yet.
And while I think that is wonderfully thoughtful, I hate the idea that mamas can't celebrate their wins.
So here's a safe space to humble brag, sorrynotsorry brag, and otherwise celebrate the awesome things your babies are doing.
This little chicken (whos in the 3rd percentile) of mine is crawling, sitting on her knees, feeds herself (BLW) and now has 4 teeth. Super impressed because we were told our LO will be 4 months delayed due to her bracing and that shes too small. She must have my super amazing genes haha not.
My LO is just all around a good baby, never fussy (even through teething, shots and her dairy intolerance) she's just so good natured it makes this first time mama a) feel so blessed and b) scared to have another one for fear of the fussiness
I'm with @upandbelow. I'm kind of nervous to have a second baby because my little peanut is generally fuss free. We can take her anywhere with us for extended periods of time, and 90% of the time there are no issues. She has been to a few big events (weddings, bridal showers) and gets passed from person to person without complaint. She goes down for naps and bed really easily. Maybe a couple minute cry session here or there, but I can put her down wide awake, and she will be asleep within a few minutes. To top it off, she is hitting all of her milestones early. So I have a happy, easy-going, smart cookie. I'm very lucky.
Thanks, @virginiaunicorn11 for this thread. It's really hard to talk about your LOs accomplishments without sounding pretentious.
After having a rough first few months, LO has been such a doll. (Which gives me a little guilt about waiting so long to change my diet, but I can't go back in time).
She is just all smiles all the time and still really cuddly. She's scooting and can sit unassisted if you get her up. She sleeps from 7 to 5ish and will go 7-7 a couple times a week, so a huge improvement from 3-4 months. She's just so stinking happy.
LO is sitting up pretty well on her own, stands while leaning against something, and I think she has two teeth coming in! She also just started banging toys and dropping them on purpose. She's a very happy baby!
No crawling or scooting yet, but she's definitely working on it. Sleep was going well (waking once or twice), but she started waking more the last two nights. Maybe teething? She still goes down well for naps and for the night.
I'm always so proud of her! Gah, I just love this kid so much.
I'm convinced lo will be crawling in no time, but for now she is intentionally and aggressively rolling everywhere. When I left the room she was on the red blanket, when I came back she was here trying to get to her book. It's so cool to watch them start to figure stuff out.
He is just the happiest little guy. He has a sinus infection and has been teething (2 teeth in 3 days) and still hardly cries. That toothy grin and sweet giggles are the best thing EVER. He was laughing at the doctor when they checked his nose and ears. He loves everyone. He's so snuggly and soft. When he smiles his whole chubby face lights up and his nose crinkles. When I reach for him, he holds his arms out to me. He goes down pretty much on his own and usually STTN. He's such a great eater. Seriously my favorite person ever.
She has STTN since she was 2 months. She's a super mellow and easy baby. She loves people and enjoys talking to them. Everytime I tell her she's a good girl she tries to repeat it back to me. She can only get the goo and gir part down but hey it's a start! She can sit up almost all by herself. I didn't even realize that I could love anyone as much as I love her.

My DS was such an easy baby and was STTN at 7 weeks. I was convinced LO was going to be a horrible baby. Nope! I got lucky twice! My dad says we won the baby lottery! He goes down so easily and usually wakes up between 5 and 6, has 4 ounces, then sleeps until 7. He is always laughing and smiling and loves watching his big brother play. He is scooting and I think he'll be crawling soon. He's already in 6-12 months clothes! He's so chubby and fat. DS was a great baby but is a crazy (but good) toddler, so I'm enjoying it while it lasts with LO.
Thanks for this thread @virginiaunicorn11 ! My LO has STTN starting around 5-6 weeks. He never had a 4 month sleep regression (he's now over 5 months so I think I'm safe). DD was the same way and everyone said that if I had a second child they wouldn't be as good but he proved them wrong! He is also such a doll and even when he's going through leaps he is always so happy. He's teething (I think, they haven't come through yet) but he is still so pleasant. He's very good when he gets passed around to family. When LO was a little over 2 months old we had a funeral that we went to and many people had not met him yet so he was passed around a lot. He was such a little love and did so well with everyone and he then slept through (almost) the whole 3 hour car ride home. Plus he's so happy to see me and gives my the biggest smiles and giggles when he sees me. He started rolling around and went from belly to back and back to belly easily. He's pretty good at sitting propped up and he loves to use his legs to bounce in his bouncer. He can find his thumb pretty easily too which makes it easy for him to put himself to sleep because i don't have to keep putting a pacifier back in! Sorry for the long brag but he's pretty amazing!
LO rolled over 5 times in a row the other day! She's 13 weeks and rolled for the first time at 7 weeks from belly to back but only did it the one time. Needless to say I was super excited! Shes also been STTN since about 6 weeks, averaging 11-12 hours a night! She's my sweet angel.
The other day my kid used his playmat, blocks, his spitty blanket, Maturin the toy turtle, and two teethers to build a working lightsaber. But by the time I got my camera, he had disassembled it all again.
@mellymar crying right now...where are the damn emojis when you need them?
These really aren't brags because she doesn't do much but LO is so easy-going. She doesn't cry, sleeps through the night, eats whenever we give her a bottle (must be magma hot though), and is happy with wherever we place her. Sure, she has jelly legs and would rather poop up her back daily than hit gross motor milestones but...she is just such a good baby.

Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.
Yep, I'm one of those people who have a baby that likes sleep!
She has slept through the night consistently since week 12: 7:45-6:45 with no wake up! Our 4 month sleep regression consisted of 3 nights where she woke up once each.
She eats formula no matter the temperature. She grins even when she's sick. She falls asleep on car trips.
She's punctual: first tooth at 4 months, rolled over at 5 months.
I was just reading about "trick babies" who are so good they trick you into thinking you are killing it at parenting, until you have that second kid.
We definitely have a trick baby! So maybe we are one and done!
I don't think my kid is super ahead...he seems to be hitting milestones right on target. Some he's even behind. He doesn't sleep through the night...we celebrate if we get a 5 hour stretch. BUT he smiles 90% of the time at me, no matter what I'm saying, and I love how when something new happens, like a noise he's never heard, he looks at me to see what his reaction should be. If I smile, he smiles. If I frown, he frowns, so I really try not to frown. I love how he rolls over and then looks so proud of himself. He's not perfect, but he's ours, and I'm just overall proud to be his mom!
Our little bug is a nighttime terrorist, but he's developing like mad and is a total joy during the day. He's rolling both ways, is almost up on all fours and rocking (seemingly almost ready to crawl), and he's said a context-appropriate "Hi!" enough times with enough witnesses that we have to wonder if it's on purpose. He sits well if you sit him up, and today he sat up twice on his own - but that seemed to be a fluke that hasn't been repeated.
The word everyone uses to describe him has always been "alert." Since he was a week old, he's been super interested in being involved in things and carefully studying whatever we do. He's a social creature and cries with boredom if we stay home too long (making me worried about my winter hibernation tendency!).
I thought he was just a natural mover, but I learned my mother, who's a physical therapist, works on all these skills with him every morning, lol! I've asked her to maybe not push the crawling as much...!!!
I don't think he's above average (not a special snowflake, just MY snowflake), and i don't track when he's "supposed" to be doing things. I am just excited for who he is and what he's learned - because he's way more fun now than his "sack of potatoes" period.
Glad people are enjoying this thread!
PS, @dancegurl1118 with your "STTN is not a brag" - pshaw! ;-)
LO is a very easy going baby. Usually only cries when she's uncomfortable, which a good 80% of the time is a burp that hasn't come out yet. She eats like a champ and loves her momma so much that she wakes up generally 3-6 times a night just so she can see me (see how I spun that there ). She can roll over both ways, blows raspberries, responds to her name, can sit for short periods of time, and loves to pull her brothers hair when they snuggle. She melts my heart every day with smiles and laughs. I'm so in love. ❤️
I love seeing all of these babies STTN! My giy doesn't...not even close...but it gives me hope that one day he'll sleep. Eventually. Lol.
He's such a happy baby. Even when he's not feeling well, he has smiles galore. He doesn't cry unless he's seriously overtired, even at night. He wakes up pretty frequently just to talk to me and goes right back to sleep. I secretly love it.
He seems to hit milestones a little early, but not anything crazy early. He had trouble gaining weight early on and was in the hospital for a week, so I am pretty proud that he's still on track.
And his pedi loves him. The whole office thinks he's hilarious because every time he goes in he flirts lile crazy. Even after his shots, he cheers up the second a nurse walks in to flash smiles and giggle. Such a lady killer.
Baby two is going to be a monster if this trick baby business is true. Gracious.
I had to come back to say my guy officially knows how to roll on purpose to a destination now. He was rolling all over the living room today while we ate dinner...hilarious. He was pretty proud too.
My LO is a ball of sunshine, he is just lovin' life! He has always been so alert and interactive, laughing and happily chatting or singing away all day (finds naps inconvenient though, as they often interrupt his play). He's busy busy, hands and feet are always going. LOVES people. He is almost 5 months and is rolling both directions, can sit up and stand for short periods without assistance. Has mastered his play mat and exersaucer, can't wait to see him in his jumper, he will be in all his glory!
LO only woke up once last night, and slept a total of 12 hours. Right now, she's taking a nap. It's been an hour and a half. It's the first long nap she's taken in months. I hope this lasts.
Haha, I thought I slept through DH feeding him. He's been so congested and I guess the antibiotics kicked in and he was able to rest. I however, woke up at 1:45 having a coughing fit
While LO has been rolling from back to belly for a couple weeks, today she figured out belly to back. This means I should never need to go in and flip my kid any more right?? Right? right?
My kid said "agua" and "Allah". So HAHA to everyone who said minoring in Arabic was a waste of time. The kid is bilingual! Now if he'd focus on English it would be one for the record books.
@virginiaunicorn11 everyone has always said my LO is so "alert" too from the very beginning & she too is a frequent night waker. I think she's just so interested in living life & taking everything in that she must think sleep is a waste of time! I don't pay too much attention to when each milestone is supposed to hit so I don't really know what is bragable but she started rolling from tummy to back at six weeks & almost made it from back to tummy at eight weeks. She did forget those skills for awhile but is easily flipping & scooting all over the place now & can sit up pretty good by herself. She says "hi" & "dada" & lets you know when she's happy or upset. I say she's got a strong personality but in general has a sunny disposition unless something is bothering her & then you will surely know it! Caught her first smile on camera at four days old. Easy baby? Probably not, but delightful just the same.
We have been re-ferberizing LO without the pacifier for the past 3 days. Naps and nighttime. I just couldn't stand getting up 4,5,6 times a night just to replace the damn thing. Tonight was the first time she went down smiling. No cries or anything. Just totally happily rolled to her belly, looked up at me smiling, and then laid her head down. I watched her on the monitor, and she played around for a few minutes, and then fell right to sleep. Woo!!!

No teeth yet, thank god. Her brother was a biter.
