  • I work in the oilfield. I'm inside sales for a very large global company doing inside sales for drilling. Basically, I sell parts to drilling rigs and try to keep their shit straight since apparently most company men are unable to do that themselves. So whenever a rig goes down - they call me (or someone like me in their area) to get them the parts they need to get back up and running. 2 am phone calls with a kid attached to your breast are awesome

I'm a teacher, but I took this year off to help my middle child who has some learning problems. Got pregnant, (oops,) so it looks like I'll have to take the next couple of years off also.

Idk if this is a glitch.... But your profile icon picture is my husband and I on our wedding day..... I've linked a screen shot.

Very weird...now your icon is a flower...and back to normal. Lol, I think it was just a glitch.

Mine was doing this yesterday with someone's profile @alw12290 and it freaked me out! Must be something with TB.

Anyways...I'm at SAHM with my 18mo. Formerly, I taught 3rd grade.

I've had this happen to. I was lurking the May board and scrolled past a chick who had the same profile pic as me (my dog, cheesin) and I ALMOST wigged out on her. I was on my phone so I decided to get on my computer and sure enough her profile pic was something completely different. So weird

  • I am a part time Psychiatric Case Manager at a hospital. (Wed-Fri) I stay home with my 22 month old son Mondays and Tuesdays.
  • very cool! such a wide variety, some very talented mamas in here!
  • I'm a full time high school digital art and photography teacher. I also started teaching as adjunct faculty at a local university. And, I opened an Etsy shop recently selling my photography. Probably going cut back on a few things now that I'm PG. Teaching is rewarding, but exhausting and high stress. I need to strike a balance.
  • Art teacher here, too! I work at a small school, so I run/teach a full program (K-12).

@VernalEquinox That's awesome! I'm certified K-12 and used to teach elementary art but I can't imagine teaching all levels at once! I hope your school appreciates you!
  • @arteduc8 Oh, thanks! The planning and "variety" can be a little crazy. Two days a week, I go from right from teaching seniors one period to kindergartners the next! Overall, I love it. It's cool to see the students' whole journey and get to know them so well.

I taught strictly high school for a year and loved that, too. My background is also in photography. My current school doesn't quite have the setup for it yet, but I'm looking to expand the secondary program and teach some photo/digital stuff in the coming semesters.
  • I'm an engineer working for a shipyard. I help arrange the equipment and manage the outfitting detail design.

  • Nursing home administrator and I absolutely love my job! I will enjoy my time off with baby, but I will be excited to get back to my residents (and bring baby with me some to visit!).

I teach kindergarten fulltime at a public school! Due the week after school lets out for summer!
  • Wedding photographer :) Nice being my own boss I get to pretty much work from home (except on the actual wedding days, of course!).
  • I'm a cna for a home hospice agency and am school for my bachelor's in nursing although I took next semester off for the baby but I'll get back to it eventually..I hope!
  • I am a user experience researcher for a big tech company.
  • I work at a project manager for a construction company. Out on site dealing with details and schedules all day. Gets me walking around
  • I'm an admin for Amtrak. I work closely with conductors and engineers, but mostly for their supervisors. I don't think I would want to be a SAHM at this point but I wish I could go down to just part time. Im only 15 weeks but I'm already dreading going back to work after maternity leave.

I love your photo, but definitely didn't steal it! Must be a glitch. My photo was a random bouquet of flowers since I joined, but then last night I decided to use a photo of myself.
  • So I'm a little crazy. I graduated high school and went straight to nursing school and got my BSN. Graduated nursing school and went straight to graduate school to get my MSN to be an Family Nurse Practitioner. I am in school full time and will graduate in May! I currently work part time as a nurse doing disability cases. My company is small and they have worked with me around my school schedule through undergrad and grad school. They already said I can stay and work from home once baby comes until I find an NP job.

I'm an NP! It's such a wonderful career. Congrats! I graduated two months before I had my first baby.

  • Full time nanny for four kids!
  • @sdLindenberg I'm a costume designer too! :) Love it!

The best part is it is for a children's theater, which makes it extra fun. I am lucky that the nature of my job warrants itself toward being able to bring a baby with me... But as a FTM, who knows how that will work out! :)
  • I am a salon owner/ cosmetologist. I love being my own boss and having so much flexibility in my schedule :)
  • Such a diverse group!  I'm a corporate finance and restructuring attorney.
  • I'm a L&D registered nurse :-)

  • Im a registration coordinator for Childrens healthcare of Atlanta in the Physical therapy department.
  • the General Manager for our local DQ Grill & Chill. Rewarding to see young workers grow and learn and then move on to college after HS. Definitely a stressful job, though.
  • I'm an Executive Recruiter specializing in HR. I have the luxury of working from home (DS is in daycare) when I want but still have a lovely office to drive into when I'm feeling social. It is great!

  • I am a registered behavioral technician. I do ABA therapy with special needs children, mostly children with Autism.
    Daisypath - nBGk

    Lilypie - GQnA

  • I have my Bachelor of Social Work degree and work as a home visitor with an early childhood development program here. We work with families with children age 0-3ish, many who are experiencing a variety of risk factors, some who aren't, and many families who are newcomers to the country (immigrants or refugees). We have nurses, counsellors with Masters degrees, dietitian, speech therapists on our team as well for internal referrals. Love my job but will be taking a year off :)
  • Ice skating instructor and costume designer/seamstress. For now.... I've been getting crap for still being on the ice and I'm only (almost) 16 weeks along. I love what I do, and I'm not ready to stop! :)

One of my friends was coaching from the boards until her due date- and walking across the ice in flip flops to get there! Of course that was her 3rd. I plan to be out there as late as possible. (Maybe not that late though!). We have a move coming in April or May though, so by that point I will have needed to transition my kids to new coaches and won't have new students at the new place yet so it should be a natural time to stop.

  • @malgal85 My mom was on the artistic staff of an opera company while I was growing up, and I pretty much lived at work with her. It was an amazing childhood. Your baby is very fortunate!
