I am a veterinarian. I love my career and being a mommy of 2 lovely little boys. I will take 8 weeks maternity leave and return to a 4 day work week. I like the balance of work and being a mommy. It helps keep me sane in both of my jobs!
I am a Paramedic in Australia. I have to work on road until I'm 34 weeks pregnant... that includes lifting patients, doing CPR etc... fingers crossed it all goes ok!
I'm a SAHM to two busy little boys! There are days that I wish I had a job outside the home, but I love staying home with them. On the side I buy fixer upper homes, fix them and rent them, and manage the property. Sometimes I flip and sell. It's fun and I can take the boys with me on site to meet contractors or whoever.
My goal is 15 properties so DH can cut his hours down to 40/week. Right now he's working 60+, but he can't quit because his health insurance is amazing.
I just got a new position at work that I will be starting in January I will be working in the Commercial Casualty Dept at Nationwide. I am really excited for the move!
Pre-pregnancy I was a dancer and in school full time, now I've definitely done a career change and do office management and school until baby gets here then I'll be working from home!
I'm a case manager/aftercare specialist at a psychiatric hospital. This is after years of working with kids with special needs....much needed less stress, but can be a little boring and redundant at times.
I'm the head of Human Resources and Payroll Operations for an RV dealership I go back and forth between wanting to be a SAHM like my mother was but I also really love my job, so I guess we'll have to see.
Umm I drink coffee for a job? Just kidding, I'm a SAHM and I teach music privately part time. I'm in the middle of starting a strings program where I live because there is currently nothing out here. It's going along fairly well! I did graduate with my B.A. in Piano Pedagogy with a minor in English and a secondary instrument of violin. Fingers crossed eventually I can earn enough to pay off my student loans!
I'm an account manager at a technology startup that provides fundraising solutions for nonprofits. I make sure they are using our technology properly and are getting the most out of their subscriptions so they renew. I also interface with the engineers so they have the least amount of humans interacting with them. I'm one of two women on a team of 10 and the first preggo, so our policy going forward will be based on whatever happens with me in the next few months!
@arteduc8Oh, thanks! The planning and "variety" can be a little crazy. Two days a week, I go from right from teaching seniors one period to kindergartners the next! Overall, I love it. It's cool to see the students' whole journey and get to know them so well.
I taught strictly high school for a year and loved that, too. My background is also in photography. My current school doesn't quite have the setup for it yet, but I'm looking to expand the secondary program and teach some photo/digital stuff in the coming semesters.
Wow, that's quite the jump! I remember when I taught elementary art going from 1st to 6th back to back and that being an interesting transition. I can't imagine the little ones to the seniors! That's awesome that you are looking to expand the high school program. With digital being so readily available now, it makes implementing it a bit easier. You could even start small with a digital station rotating in. I'm fortunate to teach in a full mac computer lab, but I know when the program started years ago they worked in rotating groups. Best of luck to you!
Active duty military until oct. Now I'm a sahm in the reserves. Which reminds me. I need to update my maternity uniforms

I'm a newborn/family photographer in Colorado, I also work part time waitressing because we relocated from Texas and I didn't want to fall behind on bills while I rebuilt my business.
I am a RN. I worked with the acutely mentally ill for many years, but finally decided to leave that after being hurt too many times. Ive worked a few other nursing jobs since then, but was recently hired at a dialysys center, right before I found out I was Prego.
I currently work two jobs: supervisor at a family owned pet store and I work part time at Starbucks. I used to be a store manager for Starbucks and hated it (no work life balance and too much corporate BS, so I made the decision to step down and do something more enjoyable that allowed me more free time). I'm hoping to be able to leave Starbucks and just work at the pet store once baby is born. Just have to make sure we can afford it financially.
