@Taymiller hope everything is okay, and your back starts feeling better soon.

Is anyone else worried about daycare already? I work 3 12's (nights), and hubby works the norm 9-5... But my schedule changes every week with me working (typically) every third weekend. I don't want to have to pay for daycare 3 days a week on the weeks that I work weekends, and I'm not even sure if they'd allow me to change up the days I bring baby every week. FTM here, so this is all new and concerning for my type A brain. I know I need someone to watch baby for the mornings I get home so that I can get *some* sleep during the day, but we don't know anyone who could and I'm sooooo uncomfortable with the whole in-house daycare from strangers thing. These thoughts are all-consuming, it's awful.

    End rant.

My husband and I are both shift workers. We have found a home daycare that allows us to use her for 2 days a week and we are able to pick the days. She is also willing to take DD some days at 6am and some days keeps her until 7pm for us (it's rare that she has to do this, but it does sometimes happen). I use a lot of my vacation on weekends, as does DH, but weekends don't sound like they will be a problem for you since DH works mon-Fri. Shop around, there are some that are willing to accommodate shift workers! I would start looking now honestly.

Finding day care is definitely a challenge and requires some time and research, but I'm sure you'll find something! We've had a few in home day cares. Things we lined and didn't like about each. But there are a lot of day cares we came across that were very flexible and even some 24-hour ones. Just make a list of questions and check each one out as much as you can/want before making a decision!
  • @Taymiller - how are you feeling today?! Have they ruled out severe symphysis pubis dysfunction? My good friend had it with each pregnancy and it gets worse with each pregnancy. It sounds similar to what you described.
  • @Taymiller hope you are doing okay today and able to get some relief and sleep! Keep us posted!

  • Ugh guys. So my two youngest (3 and 1yr old) were admitted into PICU with pneumonia and RSV Thursday. My three year old might be discharged tomorrow night. My 1yr old still has at least 2-3 more days. I swear the only thing harder than being pregnant with kids is being pregnant with kids in the hospital. Send lots of get healthy vibes please.

  • Hugs @kdm06c! I can imagine your stress level with your little ones in hospital. Sending get better vibes!
  • @kdm06c praying for your kiddos for a speedy recovery. Nothing more heart breaking than seeing your little ones sick. Hope all is well in the next few days.
  • I am doing ok. @Brittnic531 they said it is my si joints and there isn't much they can do for
It. I guess that is my frustration. My OB said it wasn't pregnancy related (it is), my GP tried to help, I have been to PT and had my husbands partner adjust me (she is a DO). So far the only thing that has helped is nice pain meds. I just want to be able to sit or walk or sleep without extreme pain.

@kdm06c - I am so sorry! I hope they get to go home soon. Hang in there mama!
  • @Taymiller glad you have some pain meds but sorry you are not getting any solid answers!

  • @Taymiller - glad you got something to help! I hope it doesn't last all pregnancy!
  • This is my belly, 10.2 weeks. Doc said because I'm so thin it would either take a long time to show or I would show right away. She saw my belly, and told me I am def doing the second one!
  • Thanks @Lindsayleigh1989 and @Brittnic531 I have had a very lazy day and that has helped. I haven't lifted Murphy all day and that helps but when the weekend is over it is me lifting again so we will see. DH has really been super helpful today.

Thanks everyone. It's been an extremely long 3 days. My H is stuck OOT and I am so thankful my mom was able to come help. That first day I was all alone and my boys are in separate rooms. My calves and ankles are so swollen. Both boys are on steroids and are definitely feeling the roid rage so I haven't been able to rest a lot. All of us are so ready to be home!

Even when not feeling well your kids are adorable! Hope you get some rest soon! And lots of healing and restoration for your family.

We watched it religiously when it came out and then we got rid of satellite to save some money. Jenny was/is my hero!

  • Another totally random thing..I am LOVING getting my packages delivered at 6 AM. I ordered a lot of stuff from amazon and other sites and each time, they're sitting on my porch as I'm getting ready to leave for work. Nice going postal service.

  • @ButterMyBiscuit  That's AWESOME!

My apartment complex has a tendency to sit on our packages for days before notifying us that they've arrived. It's fine when I've ordered something, because I track shipping and know when to get it, but since we're away from family they've been mailing stuff, and I never know when it gets here!

It was weird the first time because we heard our dogs barking at the crack of dawn and opened the door to our packages. But, with people's packages getting stolen right off of their porches, I definitely prefer it this way. I don't envy the poor postal workers, though.
