Thank you! I am a shorty with no torso really so my kiddos don't have anywhere to go but out.

I am always in such of AW of those that go over their due date. I know babies will come when they are good and ready and due dates are estimates but I just can't imagine my self at that size carrying for another 2wks. Eek.

I had my ultrasound today (8w3d) and the tech asked me if I have an inverted uterus. I had DD in January 2014, had 3 ultrasounds during my pregnancy (11ish weeks, 20ish weeks, and 30+ish weeks) and a c-section after 2 days of labour that eventually stalled (failed induction). Nobody ever told me anything about an inverted uterus and all of my ultrasounds were done abdominally with no issues.Β

The tech today did a transvaginal ultrasound after not being able to get a good image abdominally, and was able to get a clear image and measurements, and confirmed that yes I do have an inverted uterus. How did nobody know this last time around? Is it possible for a once-normal uterus to become inverted through the course of an extended failed labour and urgent c-section? I'm so confused! And for any of you who have an inverted uterus and have had babies before, does it make labour more difficult? I'm wondering if that's one of the reasons my labour was so difficult with DD. So many questions!Β

I'm not super concerned about it because I've already decided to go for a repeat c-section, I just don't understand how my anatomy could change this way, or how it could have been missed last time. I moved to a new city between babies so I can't even talk about all of this with my old doctor. I have an appointment with my current doctor next Thursday so I'll go over all of this with her then, just wondering if anyone else has information for me in the meantime?

    ETA: clarifying
ETA2: Sorry :) should have googled before I typed. Looks like a previous pregnancy can cause a normally positioned uterus to become retroverted due to loosening ligaments, just FYI in case anyone else experiences this! Looks like there are no issues with labour as once the baby gets bigger it pushes the uterus into the same position in both typical and retroverted uteruses (uteri?)
  • Random office rant: It is NEVER OKAY to bring your kids to the office!!! NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!!!!! If your childcare fell through, TAKE THE REST OF THE DAY OFF. ESPECIALLY if your child care fell through because your kids are sick! Why are you bringing sick kids to what is supposed to be a WORK PLACE to spread their germs?! I think I'm going to go ahead and leave early today because 2 noisy children in the cubicle next to me is not cute or fun, it's distracting, and because they're coughing and sneezing and snotting everywhere and I am not interested in being exposed to this. These kids should be at home in PJs resting! Take your work home (totally an option here). Take a half day (also an option, we're a flexible place!). Or have your wife work from home or take a half day. There are options other than bringing sick kids to talk loudly and cough all over your co-workers! I solemnly vow NEVER to do this! Also there goes my productivity completely out the window! JUST NO. NOT OKAY.Β
I work in maintenance but we have a cubicle in the office with the rest of the office staff and that department boss prefers the staff bring their sick kids in to the office rather than take the day off. There's one woman with a son she brings in often. The last time he was in he pulled the fire alarm and the time before that he flipped a breaker in our copy room and shut down all the computers in the office. It drives everyone in our department crazy.Β
  • I've been out sick all week with the worst cold I've had in over 15 years! Can we say strong baby = weak immune system! #stillovemypookie

When I had my ultrasound the tech asked me if anyone had ever told me that my uterus was tipped and I was like, "I've had a child before and nope, can't say that anyone has.." Apparently, my uterus is tilted towards my spinal cord instead of being straight up and down. After a quick google search, there aren't really adverse effects during pregnancy because as the uterus grows, it straightens out by itself. I thought that was interesting though.Β

  • My tech said my ute is tilted and it wasn't last time. i am not worried about it.
  • I don't know if this is where this goes but I didn't want to start a new thread for a quick question...

When someone posts something sad, such as a loss, is it inappropriate to "Love It" as a sign of support? It's always my first reaction but I noticed nobody else ever does so it made me wonder if I'm thinking of the whole "Love It" concept in the wrong context?
  • I'm so annoyed I can't find a bra that fits right!
  • My 17 month old is eating a salad for dinner. I ate one yesterday and he kept on taking notes and loved it. This kid is such a weird eater. Salad it is my friend!
  • Y'all, I can't fit into my jeans anymore. This is embarrassing. I'm 10w 4d and I've never had to wear maternity clothes this early. It's my third baby so maybe that's it?! I'm kinda freaking out.
  • That's awesome @Taymiller! Salad is hit or miss with my boys. They will never turn down fresh tomato though. Weirdos.

@juliagulia38 pants are super uncomfortable here (went ahead and started the rubber band trick with the belly band) and my regular shirts don't fit anymore. Fun stuff.

  • @kdm06c - tomatoes are his favorite food!
  • Β I'm sitting here trying to figure out if I have enough "zerofucksgiven" to show up tonight for my husbands Xmas dinner with the owners of the company in just pants and a sweater. It's at a really nice restaurant and it'll just be the three owners, their gf's and my husband and me. It's freakin cold and rainy and windy in Vegas and I just cant work up the motivation to throw on a LBD and try not to look bloated. Unfortunately, the girls the owners show up with (usually different, usually 20-30 years younger) wearΒ designer dresses like they're going to the Oscar's. The last time the one girl legitimately was wearing "a vintage 1920'sΒ Chanel dress she bought in NYC." I was like " oh this is vintage Forever 21, twenty twelve." And I'm bitter because they usually order two bottles are insanely expensive bottles of wine that I will never have the opportunity to drink again!
  • Today I am done adulting and in the words of reality tv "I Just Can't Even" and I am now headed to game night with 15 engineers (all male) including DH... In my sweat pants baggiest sweat shirt a 2 liter of ginger ale and what ever else i see at the store and think I can stomach. I think I might have officially given up..

  • I started using the hair tie trick this week because I refuse to break down and buy new clothes this early. Also I was really looking forward to dinner tonight and the restaurant messed up my food, which I didn't realize until we got home. Had a small tantrum
  • I'm done today too.

My oldest was sent home sick today from school. Post nasal drip from allergies is sending him into coughing fits which leads to vomiting. All day.

Then around dinner time my 3yr old started complaining of an upset stomach. He ended up pooping in his pants. Only he didn't tell me and tried to take care of it himself. He rinsed them out in the sink leaving excess in the sink and then it looks like he spun them around and flung liquid shit all over the walls, floor, counter, cabinets, toilet, mirror, everything. It took me over an hour to clean it because I kept having to stop to puke.

And it's days like today that I get nothing accomplished and have to play catch up even more later. Yay. 8 more days or so till H is home.

  • The boob/bra situation is out of control. My regular bras are incredibly uncomfortable, my sports bras feel too restricting. I've been going braless most of the time lately, but as a 36G (before pregnancy! Now, who knows...) this is not always...feasible. Sometimes I need to reign the ladies in. I've seen a bunch of comfy looking stretchy bralettes or maternity bras, but none that are big enough! They all seem to go up to a D cup and then....nothing!

Anyone in a similar situation or have recommendations for comfy bras? I normally have to pay upwards of 60 dollars per bra and I'd rather not spend that much on maternity bras but I don't know if I'll have any other options.

  • @kdm06c that sounds horrible!!!! I couldn't help but laugh at the way you told the story, but I would have cried in that situation...and probably puked too.

It was awful. So awful. I couldn't even be mad at him though because he was so embarrassed and really tried to take care of it himself. But seriously dude wtf?!!!!

All three boys are in bed and I am eating a mojito slush (just used the mix) and pretending it has all the rum in it. Really hoping tomorrow is better.

  • @AGaskins13 try a bellaband they are great and way more comfortable than the hair tie in my honest opinion.

I just bought a Jockey seamless bra and I love love it. It feels like a less restrictive, very comfortable sports bra. I'm not sure about the sizing that they offer though but it's worth checking out their website!

  • I'm scared to buy a new bra and/or get fitted... I was a 36F before I got pregnant and hubs can't stop telling me that my boobs are "definitely bigger" (which I know - they feel SO heavy and my bra is pushed out now). My bras are super expensive and I don't want to buy new bras every month during this pregnancy! I tried looking for a maternity/nursing bra that would be adjustable but I couldn't find one that went above a C/D cup. :( Big boob problems... Oh well, at least my husband is excited?

  • Ok, WTF did they do to the bump app? I have tried logging out and back in, deleting it and installing again but all I can do is read threads and it doesn't remember what I've read any more. I can't comment or love it. So. Annoying.

I'm also a member of of the unreasonably large boob club. I am 30G/H normally. By the time I was done my last pregnancy I was a 36J. Not fun. I ordered bras online for nursing and went through a few rounds of sending things back before I found a couple that fit. I couldn't get around the prices though, I had to pay $100+ per bra but I also live in Canada so the USD prices will be less. This will be my last baby. Once I'm done breast feeding and things go back to normal I'm getting a reduction. It's one of the few things getting me through this pregnancy.
  • DH is being a DBag tonight! I'm not feeling well so I'm grumpy but he radomly gets pissed at me just being a jerk ugh take some midol pmsing husband also this is literally my face right now

  • I had a caramel latte today and it was amazing! Hopefully that aversion is gone for good, because I NEED that little boost to get through the day right now and I missed it so very very much
  • So my MS is kind of going away and tonight a friend of ours is coming over for a Star Wars marathon. He decided to excitedly call me and ask for brownies but added slowly that if only I 'feel' like it.

...these men would die without me.
  • Papa Murphy's makes their cookie dough with pasteurized eggs. That is all
  • Procrastination always bites me in the rear. My oldest has Polar Express day tomorrow aka wear pajamas to school day. He just went through a major growth spurt, well that and he is hard on his pants, so he had nothing to wear. I put it off until today to go get him a pair. Of course my short stocky kiddo had to be difficult and I am now waiting till dinner settles so I don't feel quite as queasy so I can focus on hemming his pj pants by hand for tomorrow. I don't sew. This should be interesting.
