I secretly judge...

Re: I secretly judge...

  • @amccoy129 it's learning!! Just like babies ;) my judgment's for the people that know all that and still get their dog that way. There isn't such a thing as a bad dog though!

  • @amccoy129 You were only 21. We'll give you a pass.
  • I'm laughing at the purebred judge! They pay you back in vet bills! We picked out this disheveled malnourished stray puppy at the shelter 7 years ago. Turns out he cleaned up real nice. Purebred chocolate lab we think. 2 ACL surgeries and massive mast cell cancer later, he's the most expensive thing I own other than my house. AND he requires constant wound care and is allergic to most grains, corn, and turkey. Seriously, we 100% wanted a rescue but we also wanted a mix breed to avoid purebred health problems. Thanks goodness we are great friends with our vets but that's only worth a small discount. But he's the best, and he's part of the family.

Well I also adopted a cat in college. She is just a regular gray tabby cat. She was extremely sick and ended up costing so much more than any pet we'd ever owned. My mom & I always laughed that she was a $1,000 cat. She lived with my mom, and when she died, my mom's best friend & her husband took her. Her husband is our vet, so she's in great hands!
  • I adopted all of my pets and one of my more senior adopts (no concrete information on age) cost me about 800 bucks to fix her teeth....

Wait, is there a difference between stretchy pants and leggings? We only do stretchy pants with our boy because they fit much better over cloth diapers.
  • I agree about the leggings...baby boy sweatpants are plenty stretchy enough and comfy. I think comfort for a baby is the most important thing...baby jeans and cuadroys are cute, but I think they are too stiff for a tiny babe...not a part of my boys closet.
  • @aresee more like leggings with like little arrows and stuff

I love little boys in leggings! Plaid, trees, stars, solids...love it. Onsies and leggings are his go to outfits :) I can only dress him like a baby for so long.
  • i judge people who just let their kids run freely, or dont do the obvious things to keep their kid from hurting someone or getting hurt. like my sister, who was too busy doing a children's puzzle to watch her kids so the 1 year old grabbed a hockey stick and hit his sister in the head with it and then shortly after the same 1 year old grabs a ball off her christmas tree and bites it, causing it to break.. in his mouth. luckily it was plastic. i swear my sister would just rather be childless.

also the leggings as pants thing, especially when they are the nude coloured leggings.

and parents who dont teach their kids how to entertain themselves without a screen.
  • I secretly judge people's clothes...which is mean, but seriously I would just love to be able to fix some people (mainly females, I will not lie) wardrobes, including my own little sister!!!!

I judge people who are vocal about food restrictions - especially self-imposed ones. Gluten Free is the worst, followed by proselytizing vegans. I don't judge the diet, I judge your need to mention it every time food appears or is mentioned. I don't really care what you feed yourself, so let's hold the commentary.

Our family went out to dinner at a Greek restaurant a couple weeks ago and my baby sister (who is very sensitive) ordered lamb. My cousin decided to rip her a new one calling her 'immoral' for eating 'baby animals'. After she was done she burst into tears and left the table because she 'couldn't be around people who thought like us.' My poor baby sister was so hurt and sad that her cousin (whom she loves) opted to leave because of her. You're free to your convictions, but I judge people who outwardly judge others about theirs!

Eta: 'you' being my cousin in this situation!
  • Oh, and I secretly judge people who honk their horn for pretty much any reason than to avoid a collision. A honk when the light turns is OK, as long as its just a short tap, and a second is given for the driver to have the chance to notice first.
I am from the west coast, so I do know the culture is a little different elsewhere, but here it just comes of as being annoyingly impatient.

He settles her in her home as a happy mother of children, praise the Lord! (Psalms 113:9)
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understand, will guard your heart and mind in Jesus Christ (Philippians 4:7)

  • I like reading about marathons! I can't even run (migraines) and I follow a few running/mom blogs. They are actually interesting writers, though.
