I saw this on another board and since I know many ladies have an U/S coming up, I figured this would be a good place to share if you would like to do so. Plus, it will put them all in one place to avoid confusion and keep the board from being bogged down.

At first, before reading, I was like "ALREADY?!" I am unsure if I will even get ONE this pregnancy! How crazy is that?!

I had my first ultrasound today. It's still very early at 5 weeks 3 days but the gestational sac is in a good spot, is a little bit larger than is typical at 5 weeks 3 days and my hcg is well over 10000 so all really good signs today. I have a small cyst < 2cm that should go away on its own. I schedule my follow up ultrasound on Monday

I had my first ultrasound last Thursday (4w5d) and go back again next Thursday (5w5d). We saw the gestational sac of one and an early visual of the yolk sac (can't really see it in the ultrasound). Based on the number of mature follicles I had last cycle (infertility treatments) and my blood, work, my doctor really thinks we'll see 2 next Thursday (60% chance twins, 10% triplets or quads, and 30% singleton). I can't wait to find out! Here's my first picture!

Congratulations!! I was part of the TTTC board and we actually had our first appointment with the fertility specialist on tuesday, I can only imagine how excited you are!!

I'm so jealous of all of you ladies-- my doc won't do an ultrasound until 18-20 weeks(anatomy scan), unless I do the NT scan which is done between 10-12 weeks. I won't be seeing anything until mid-late January. Until then, I'll live vicariously through all of you!!

My doctor won't do an ultrasound until ten weeks either. I don't even have one scheduled. I have an initial appointment at seven weeks (with no scan) and they will schedule the 10 week ultrasound from there. I'm jealous of you ladies getting early scans!

US Dec 22 here too ! At like 2 days shy of 8 weeks I think, a viability scan with maternal fetal medicine ,due to prev history.
50%nervous 50% excited. Fingers crossed we all have lil blobs to show off soon !

I went in for a test which i already knew was positive but wanted to make sure, i counted 6 weeks so they scheduled an ultrasound for the following day, while i was there someone cancelled their ultrasound so they offered me it. I was super happy! They found out i was only 5w 1d, so i have another ultrasound on 12/21/15 and i will bring my husband and my 15month old to experience this ultrasound.

@mrshenri yay!!! Congrats. Was there a heartbeat and fetal pole/yolk yet? Just asking cause I just went in today for mine and they didn't see one yet, so I'm schedule again for next week.

I want an u/s. due 8/8 but dr does not want to see me for the first time until 1/22.

Anyone else think that seems too far out for a first appointment???

I go in next Thursday and I'll only be 6 weeks. But I'm still seeing an RE and that's their usual routine I guess. I'm so nervous I won't see anything that early!

@alqizwik - how many weeks along are you? Did you see anything at all (like a sac)? Did they give you an EDD yet?

The sac is there, but it's measuring more around 5 weeks. They are still checking my levels (today's were good) and I'll do a follow up ultrasound next Wednesday. Apparently, it is possible that I just have a slow dividing egg, or it could also be a BO. Only time will tell. I'm not going to freak though. I'm prepared for anything at this point. Especially after the multiple scares already this cycle.

Basically it's another type of miscarriage where the embryo never develops and the placenta does because it's confused.
I know I implanted later than usual, like we are very certain about that, the nurses even think so, but they told me even if it does implant late, the egg should still divide before it implants, meaning implantation doesn't change the fact that I'm 6 weeks. Only late ovulation would determine that.

@searchingforameaning My first OB appointment isn't until I'm 10 weeks (Jan. 20). But I won't get an ultrasound then. They don't do those until the second trimester so I have a long time to wait! I've also had a loss before and they're still making me wait that long so I'm assuming it's normal.
