You all are lucky! My first appointment is not until 1/8 when i'll be teetering on 13 weeks... I am seriously considering switching doctors to one who seems to actually care somewhat before 2nd Tri... This was the doctor who delivered my first child and has been my doctor since I was 16 so I hate to part with him but his practice just seems REALLY bizarre in not seeing me until 2nd tri... sorry for the vent - but I'm jealous!!
Dec 14th. I'll be 7w5d. I'm not sure about the ultrasound. I think so because when I went to have my iud removed she said she wanted to do a dating ultrasound when I has a positive test. This is different from my first because they didn't even want to start seeing me until 12 wks.
@acn5028, if it makes you feel better my first real appointment with the midwife isn't until 12/23, at which point I'll be 12+2. I have a paperwork/labs appointment on 11/30 and my regular NP did an HCG a couple weeks ago but I won't have any u/s or exams or any testing until past 12 weeks.
Mine is Dec. 8th. They said they like to do the first appointment at 7 weeks, which according to lmp I will be, but based on ovulation I think I will actually be 6w5d. They said I'll have an ultrasound that day, so I'm assuming transvaginal.

Mine will be in January as well at 12 weeks. It's really common in big practices. Honestly they don't do anything earlier to confirm, so going earlier is just a money making opportunity for the office. You only go earlier if there is reason for concern like high risk. I've had a few miscarriages, but they won't see me until 12 weeks because they were all prior to my son being born (now 16 months). Does not mean that they are not tending to your needs. I'd say stick with you doctor! All they will do any earlier is have you pee on a stick and/or blood test. Possibly a dating ultrasound, but not always. If you were tracking your cycle you won't need this. Planned parenthood is another option to confirm. They can't really track heartbeat this early. I hate the wait, but then again once we start going we will hate our cha-cha being shown to the world too. we are pregnant and can't be pleased. Haha.
Glad I'm not the only one, but I'm super jealous of everyone going right at 8 or 9 weeks! My first u/s is Dec 9 and I'll be 10w 6d
I keep repeating to myself over and over: This is what I wanted. I asked for minimal invasiveness and laid back and to just let my body do it's thing. Have faith in the process! Trust my body!
Ugh I just need to know it's alive and real! I swear after that I'll stop freaking out and assume all is well unless I have symptoms that dictate otherwise. Also I need to know it's not twins. My paranoid blumpy butt is like "I'm showing too early! It's probably twins. We can't afford that daycare and DH doesn't want to stay home. We're going to have to sell the house!"
I just scheduled my first appointment for tomorrow November 24th at 4:00 pm so the husband would be able to make it. I want him there to get our first look at our little bug and I need him there if it turns out like our last three. I am fairly nervous and excited. I am glad they were able to get me in tomorrow because I hate not knowing. I don't even know how far along we are as I conceived right after a miscarriage. I pray this one is our rainbow baby!

Mine is December 3rd and I'll be a little over 8w, if i'm that far along as i think. My parents are in town for Thanksgiving and leave Saturday. Im so dang sad that my first appointment isn't until after they leave . They live 700 miles away and we only see them a couple times a year.
I did take a pregnancy test today because Ive been feeling so normal lately, other than sore books. Still 2 lines so I felt better!

Mine is this afternoon! I'm 7w6d and quite nervous but just looking to having this out of the way. A dear friend of mine is a midwife and is going to be my go-to but she's on a work trip for a few more weeks and suggested I just get this appt done.
Technically, mine was today. I was livid when I went to the hospital for my pregnancy test and they told me I HAD to attend the ob orientation class. I gave birth in that hospital- this year! I'm pretty sure I know how to be pregnant. Still can't smoke meth, drink booze, or eat blue cheese. Luckily, one of the nurses pulled me away from everyone else waiting and let me skip the class. I have two friends who recently attended and all in all its 3 hours long. I spent 30 minutes going over my intake paperwork with a nurse and set up my first appointment with a provider, so December 9. Which will also be my first ultrasound.
I had my first appointment last Friday, but it was disappointing. All they did was grill me about my medical history and made me pee in a cup. My first actual appointment is 12/9. I am not happy I have to wait so long especially after seeing how early so many people got to hear a heartbeat. By 12/9 I'll be over 8 weeks. The only good thing is that the day after my US I will be graduating college! What a week.
We had our first appointment today and it was so exciting!! This is my first pregnancy so I didn't know what to expect. We got to see the baby, its heart, and hear the heartbeat! We are measuring 8w5d (I am 8w2d now...my husband was a big baby so I'm already blaming him lol). So exciting!!
Our first appointment will be this Thursday & boy I am upset with my boyfriend because he was supposed to take that day off so he may either have to call in or leave work early since it is at 12:45 & it will take about 20 minutes for us to get there if he calls in but if he does leave early then we can get there within 10 minutes. I am very excited & can't wait to see our little peanut.
My first actual appointment isn't scheduled yet and will be around 12 weeks but I do have an ultrasound on the 7th. My office just changed the way they do first appts. Ultrasound and pee test to confirm pregnancy (don't know why I need a pee test if you see a baby on the ultrasound) at 8 weeks and then NT and first appt at 12 weeks
Dec 4th. I should be 7w3d. I'm nervous since I'm over 35 this time and I had a miscarriage when I was 34 around 7 weeks. Hope all is well. We haven't told anyone and are waiting until Christmas to announce to family.
I had my first appt with the midwife this last Friday (day after thanksgiving). I was 8w6d and we heard a heart beat! This baby is my first and that feeling of actually hearing the heart beat is something I can't even explain! So exciting! Next appt is in 7 weeks.
