Spotting?

Hey guys I'm due for af this Saturday. This past Sunday I started spotting. I have read about implantation bleeding and maybe that might be it? However there is still some that comes out when I wipe today which is day 4. I will point out that even though I'm still spotting this was not like a normal period no clots...really watery and change of color from brown pink to bright red.
Any advice helpful words will help! Thanks!

IB is rare and only confirmed in hindsight. Symptom spotting will set you up for disappointment, so none of us will tell you that's what it is. I would take a HPT if you think you might be pregnant. Good luck to you.

Implantation bleeding is usually something noticed in hindsight. Its also pretty rare. Spotting can happen for multiple reasons and if you expect AF within a couple days then I would say the spotting is normal. Do you temp? Because if not then you really have no idea when to expect AF and its possible that it will happen earlier than you expect.

Implantation bleeding is rare. A good way to operate is to assume that you are the rule, not the exception to the rule. Also, just say no to symptom spotting.

I spot a few days before AF and its normal to have, if AF doesn't come soon then take a test.

I second PP's - implantation bleeding is rare and only noticed in hindsight. Not sure how you're tracking ovulation, but you could have ovulated real early in the cycle so your period is really on time, not early OR you have a short LP this cycle (happened to me this cycle, I had a 26 day month even though I ovulated - my normal cycles are 32-48 days) Your body does weird things sometimes.

Yes ma'am. I double checked my chart because i was sure i made a mistake, but even playing around with temps and changing things didnt give me an earlier O date.

I had IB 8 days before my period lasting for 5 days. Started out red and watery. Then changed to brown. Don't let anybody get your hopes down! Its literally impossible not to symptom spot! People who dont symptom spot, just means your not really in tune with youe body...because if your noticing changes in your body thats AWESOME. Write them down and pinpoint what is different each month. I did this for 9 months and never once "charted my temps" bc IMO its stressful and a real mojo killer to do every morning!

Not symptom spotting=/=not in tune with your body. We don't encourage symptom spotting around here because it normally leads to disappointment. We do encourage charting (i.e., writing down symptoms) around here to see if any patterns emerge, as you suggested. But if you weren't aware, impending period and pregnancy symptoms are nearly identical, which (again) is why we try not to encourage symptom spotting. The Newbie thread has a lot of information about how this board operates, and we appreciate truth, honesty, and facts around here.

Are you kidding me? Not in tune with our bodies? Not every twinge, cramp or spotting is a sign of pregnancy, which is why we don't encourage symptom spotting because it leads to disappointment. Temping is not even stressful, it takes a minute to do and then put it in your phone. I like to know when my period is really coming or when my fertile window is instead of just guessing.

So yeah I have been more in tune with my body since I started temping. Nice try though.

There's a reason we're "uptight". It's called science and reality. We're not going to sit here and spread rainbows and sunshine and tell everyone that they're pregnant because they pee frequently or have cramps or are craving chocolate. News flash - that does a lot more harm than telling people that their symptoms are the same as AF symptoms, and to not count on pregnancy until you have a positive test.

I'd rather be told that than told I'll expect a positive and be built up for a huge let-down. That's worse than being "uptight".
