Well, I just got a phone call from my doctor's office. They got the results of my ultrasound- my placenta is still low-lying, so now I'm on pelvic rest/no sex for at least 6 weeks . That makes me one sad panda. But everything else looks great, and they got the rest of the pics they needed. If it still hasn't moved in 6 weeks, I will be having a C-section and more than likely have a leap-year baby (doctor does surgeries Monday mornings and February 29th falls on a Monday).

Boo @charley15. I've been on pelvic rest for 13 weeks. DH thinks he's going to die . . .
How do you feel about a Leap Year baby? Some people think it's so fun. Others think it's a bummer.
I think I wouldn't have a problem with it. The most fun I've had with it so far is convincing DD that if he is born on leap day her brother will only have 1 birthday every 4 years lol . I just always said "knowing our luck" we would end up on leap year day. I'm usually pretty good at calling the shots like that.

It was a long post basically advertising that they were this awesome couple that were going through the adoption process and their home study was almost complete. They basically wanted to let any mothers on tb know that they were wonderful and would love to have their baby. They had a link attached but if you tried to click it gave you the "site not secure" error. When we started saying that it sounded like scam and was inappropriate she came back with several ridiculous replies i.e. We (the women on tb) don't understand how hard it is to not have a baby and want one, they are completely legit and just wanted to get their info out there, they do indeed have an agency but just wanted to let any women on the internet know that they really wanted a baby and were super loving, etc. It was quite the post. Not too sure about the Leap Year baby thing...My EDD is only 9 days after Feb 29 so it could happen (my first was 15 days early so definitely a possibility). But we already have a holiday baby - July 4 - so I'd be more than fine NOT having another weird birthday.
My house still smells like a smoker. Makes me drool just thinking about it.
All of you Colorado ladies, you ready for the blizzard of the century tonight? Apparently the pattern for this winter is setting up to be the same as it was 9 years ago when we had a blizzard pretty much every weekend. We already talked to MIL about keeping the boys overnight so we can get to work the best route possible (and not put them in danger on the roads bringing them to her house in the morning). All I can think is that I don't have any boots that fit

My random and AWWW moment of the day......I had a dream that I went into labor and delivered DD last night. She was the most precious thing I have ever seen.....CAN NOT WAIT.
@skruhmin ugh to the bad weather, I'll trade you though! We are in a severe weather risk all night tonight (60-70 mph winds, golf ball hail and a possible tornado). I love storms but it's mid November for cryin out loud. Give me snow, not rain! Also, stay safe and watch out for the many bad drivers!

I'm sooo glad to wake up and see those posts are gone. I reported every single one and went on a tirade when asked for a reason. It's just frustrating that it was up long enough for me to even be able to find it at 3am. I didn't even try to click on the links. It was so rude that they posted on the ttc and childless not by choice boards.
@charley15 boo for the pelvic rest but keeping my FX that placenta moves up. I don't know how I'd feel about a leap year baby. It's kinda cool but kind of annoying to me.
I think I may have bruised my hand from punching DH in the arm over the weekend......he was having a good laugh at my expense while we were doing our baby registry at Target. He thought it was absolutely hilarious to "waddle" like me around the store.....I could only take so much of it before I decked him good in the shoulder/arm.....

Just the shoulder? The junk seems a lot more appealing sometimes

Also seeing the potential weather pattern this year, I think my biggest fear about delivering this baby is that with baby #3, labor being shorter, and potentially being in the middle of a blizzard. At least we're 20 minutes from the hospital (and half of the trip is on a toll road they keep wide open during snowstorms). But DS1 was 17 1/2 hours, DS2 was 12 hours. What will this one be???

I think I mention this to my husband at least once a week considering I didn't know I was in labor with my last one and then delivered him shortly after getting to the hospital.

DS2 climbed up on a kitchen chair Saturday and promptly fell off and hit his head. I'm kind of hoping it teaches him for a little bit not to climb and to be more careful. He's going to be our ER kid for the broken bones, I swear.

I'm excited about all the snow we might get! I do have to teach tonight but should be done when the snow is just starting so I won't get caught in the worst of it. I'm supposed to have workout class tomorrow morning but I'm guessing it'll be canceled. But poor DH, he works nights for Xcel energy so he'll have one hell of a night

Ooh no bueno for your DH. And it's supposed to rain first so the snow will probably be heavy and wet.

It's a rainy day here in texas, which is fine by me. I'm not letting myself leave the house until this place is packed. We have a studio apartment, and thus far I still have the larger kitchen items, the bathroom, the closet, and all my decor to put in boxes. Except that DH forgot to get my boxes like 3 times this weekend. I understand he's moved like every year of his life, but this is my first time moving without my family, and I'm STRESSED. Ugh. Time to go drink my gross protein shake so I maybe gain some weight.

The due date they originally gave me off of my LMP was Feb 28th so I was facing real possibility of leap year baby or having her share MILa bday which would possibly be worse IMO. MIL has a hard time not being the center of attention and I don't have time for that!
Also this is a thing that happened in Texas....baby was found safe and sound but Twinkle Twinkie Twilight? Oh man
Oh man. I'm so sorry you're having a snowstorm in CO. I was driving to school this morning thinking, "I am so happy we have't had accumulating snow yet this year." It's pretty rare that we make it halfway through November without it. Fine by me, though! I used to be one of those people that had to have snow on Christmas, but I don't even care about that any more. It is sooooo much more trouble than it's worth! I really live in the wrong state . . .

How many of our ladies does this map cover? I know I'm in the blizzard warning area. Boy tomorrow is going to be FUN!!!
Fun times! I read we could get 8-14" I went grocery shopping yesterday so we're good to go!
I've got 1 1/2 gallons of milk and a metric ton of cereal. Smoked turkey breast in the fridge, baking supplies are stocked. Ooh I might need to go get a ton of chocolate chips. You know, just in case. Because snow day = baking day, right? And no, I'm not bringing my computer home because who wants to work when you're snowed in?!?

Besides teaching tonight, I'm so glad I don't have to be anywhere until Thursday evening for our hospital tour! Although my toddler and I may have cabin fever by then.
@skruhmin it's chocolate flavored poder so it could be worse. But today I used almond milk, a little peanut butter, and some ice cream to smooth it out. Not too bad, but overall I don't enjoy protein powder ever.
@2goofykids - I sometimes make a chocolate protein drink (apparently I should everyday) and I usually add a frozen banana and yesterday I added a few raspberries. It was so good!
@2goofykids double up on peanut butter if you hate the taste of protein powder. And use whole fat milk. Add a banana and 1 Tbsp cocoa powder. This gets you one amazing smoothie.
