Stuck between two names

I'm stuck right in the middle between Gavin and Oliver (nn Ollie). DH prefers Oliver, and I'm 50/50 so I'm asking you ladies for your opinions! I was planning on using Joshua (DH's name) as the middle name, but it doesn't seem to flow with Oliver so I'd have to use a less meaningful "filler" middle name if I did go with Oliver, and I'm not sure how I feel about that. Thoughts?

    I'm saying Gavin just because I know like 6 toddler aged and under Olivers right now.

    I think Oliver is a much stronger and more solid choice especially as he ages into adulthood.

    Oliver used to be my all time favorite boy's name - from like the 6th grade on. But there's just so many of them out there now I kind of OD'd on the name--kind of like when I ate at Subway every Wednesday for like a year. Now just the smell of that bread makes me shiver :)

    I had no real opinion on Gavin until I met my first one this year and now I really love the name. It's gaining in popularity, but I think it's got a good decade before it becomes "Subway bread"--so to speak.

    I don't necessarily prefer one or the other, but Oliver Joshua is fine.  I wouldn't let that be your concern.
