@fmitchell Welcome! Try not to worry too much about the needles. I think so much of the anxiety over these injections is in our minds. Even the ones that are a bit uncomfortable are not THAT bad. I would much rather do any of them than say, stub a toe! You'll do great. Hope these next few days fly by for you!

@smitty18 I am glad it's not just me feeling blah. I have to barter with myself to do anything. Like if you clean the house, then you can take a quick nap haha. I know you are anxious for Sunday! Hopefully these last few days go quickly.

@villacis811 As much as I would like to be patient and wait for the beta, I am sure I would end up testing early. I agree with @rachd110, I would want to know the night before so that I have an idea and might prevent any public meltdowns. Not that any of us have to worry about that cause we are all getting BFPs!

@villacis811 I transfered 2 embryo's...... For everyone else waiting for their Beta....I am by far a glass half empty person....I kept myself distracted by working, tutoring, watching live soccer games, exercising, yoga....I also started crocheting to keep my hands and mind busy. I was impressed with myself that I was able to teach myself how to do something and made a scarf. I told the nurse to wait to call me until I was done with work. I don't know how I made it through the day...But you just find a way. I just kept hoping saying that there is a very high chance its positive but a small chance its not. GL!

@picare88 Great attitude!!!!! You're right. High chance it's positive and we have our doctors doing all they can to get us to that BFP!!!!! Are you going to tell anyone yet? Parents? Thanks @erinscaren!! @villacis811 you're welcome. Lucky for me my test is on a Sunday- I'll be home w DH ready with sparkling cider and Kleenex just in case. My cramps are much less today and more weird tingling! Sorry about your progesterone shots

@erinscaren My thoughts exactly! I had 4 right around 11-12 and with a bunch smaller. I was worried, but the nurse told me the same thing. It's early and everything looks good. All my meds stayed the same too. I had road rage on Monday. It was pouring rain and took me over an hour and a half to get there (normal is 35 minutes). I was thinking how mean to make all these hormonal ladies do this first thing in the morning! So glad everything is going well for you and thanks for sharing this journey with me! So grateful! @smitty18 I agree with everyone about feeling blah on stims... Tonight I set my alarm just to be sure I was awake at 9:00 pm and didn't miss an injection. Good thing it's temporary or I'd get nothing done!

@AmyReneeF Well since I think we just figured out we go to the same clinic, I can commiserate about that commute Monday! The rain was AWFUL and it took us 1 hr 45 minutes to get there (normal 1 hour). We didn't get there until 8:26 (was supposed to be there 630-8) and DH was scared to even talk to me because I was so mad at being stuck in all that traffic. Lol!

Nurse just called from the doctors office to report on our embabies:
6 in A- quality
3 in B- quality
2 in C- quality
I'm thinking B and C embabies may possibly still grow?

We have been pushed back to a five-day ET, YAY!!

Ugh, as if I wasn't stressed out enough husband is having something weird going on

( He has pain in his testicles and severe pain in his lower right stomach. Went to the emergency room for a bunch of tests and they see nothing wrong. ER is next week and I'm worried that we'll have to freeze my eggs and wait to figure out what is going on

@smitty18 yes I'm doing OK thanks for asking. My Dr actually said I could start stims tomorrow for ivf round 2 .
I feel differently going into it the second time. Less scared more excited. Maybe because I know what to expect.

I had my ER this morning...43 eggs retrieved! I'll find out tomorrow how many fertilized. Hoping for lots of good quality embryos.

I started my stims on October 17th, triggered on October 28th and had retrieval on October 30th. I got 14 eggs, 11 fertilized and 9 embryos going strong on day 5. I had my transfer yesterday, November 4th. We chose to transfer 2 as we've had poor luck with Clomid/IUI cycles. The remaining 7 were frozen in case we need them later. I go in for an estrogen/progesterone test on November 9th and a beta on November 13th. I'm feeling pretty hopeful!

@AandDM2014 Fx for some sticky beans!

I had my US & BW this morning, just got the call from my nurse. I have 56 total follicles. 37 are over 10mm with 17 over 15mm now. My estrogen is at 2400. She thinks I will trigger on Saturday with retrieval on Monday!

Thank you all for the supporting kind words!! DH and I are estatic and we'll be over the moon once we get that BFP!
Now we decide to transfer one or two, I am leaning towards two since we have had two failed attempts already (1 fresh and 1 frozen). We'll have to see what RE suggests.
I also have plans to start my Christmas party favors during my 2WW just so I keep busy!

@poeface thats great that you get to start again right away!! I would want to do the same thing! The second time around I would imagine being a little less scary at least when it comes to the injections bc you already know what you are getting yourself into.

@Piperella Thanks for asking! We will be transfer both of the 2 embryos. It was a hard decision but we finally made it. We haven't told anyone about how many we will transfer or when transfer will occur. I just get so sick of the twins/multiple babies jokes.

@thejessicanicol oh no! Hopefully it's nothing and you can still go ahead with plans. But if you should have to do a FET cycle instead of live, I have heard that it's got pretty good stats compared to live transfers too. Sending prayers and baby dust your way!

Hi everyone! So close to starting my first IVF process.. Have the shots at home waiting for me! Just waiting on my prolactin level to go down just 5 more points...hopefully can retest this weekend.. Ugh the wait! Can't handle it! I'm hoping it works out with the right time line to announce a pregnancy for Christmas... That would just be the best gift in the world. I'm praying for all of you! ❤️❤️

Had my US this morning, getting some bigger follicles now, biggest was 16. Have to go in on Sunday so I assume they are thinking ER Monday or tuesday. I swear there were only like 5 or 6 big ones though. They said it all looks great, but damn, some of you are putting up huge numbers, just trying to remember it only takes one good quality egg!

5 or 6 big ones is great! You'll probably have a few more by retrieval too. It does just take 1!

After my US this morning, I'm thinking they will move my ER up to Sunday. Will know for sure this afternoon. Time is going by soooo slowly!

The emergency room asked him if he wanted morphine for the pain and after saying no they told us there's nothing wrong with him. So where is the pain coming from?! It's so hard to find good medical help in Las Vegas (

Meanwhile, I have gained 4 pounds from stims and did a little labor breathing practice to get through the menopur shot last night lol. Can't believe I used to have a hard time with the Lupron shots!

Hi ladies-

@thejessicanicol can you try a Urologist? That is really scary and could be a number of things- from an inguinal hernia to a twisted teste...its an urgent situation and I wouldn't recommend waiting around to see.... ERs aren't equipped to handle those types of things...Sorry about the weight gain. I coundn't fit into my jeans towards the end of my stims. My tummy was so bloated!

@halips I know the feeling. It's almost Sunday and it is forever away for my beta. I think it's because this process is SO involved. Every day there is something, or a blood work check, or even a phone call! There were 2 nights this week I had brief moments where I just felt like i was pre-ivf, and then my DH reminded me! He said, how do you feel? Are you excited?" and I said "for what?" DUH. then every other moment I'm obsessed!

Is anyone else a little far out time-wise and thinking how they'll announce if they get the BFP? I'm thinking Xmas. but I need to relax because I need a BFP first.

We are hoping we will get a bfp near valentine's day or easter and can do something cute. Like a little poem about becoming a grandma or a little easter egg with a note. I don't know. So many ideas. .. haha We need to just make it through our consult on Monday

@erinscaren remember it only takes one! Your follies will continue to grow over the next few days. They upped my dosage of Follistim on my last night to give them one last push.

@thejessicanicol I agree with smitty18, try a a urologist or a reproductive urologist.

I haven't even thought about how we'll make our announcement once we get our BFP. I'm visiting my brother and hopefully future SIL, who live in a different state, a few days after I my beta. If it's good news, I will tell them right away. I'm not as excited to tell my siblings that live in the same state as me. Over the last year, we've become pretty distant, which is a whole different story. I do think I'll wait til my second trimester to tell them and most friends. My mom knows we are doing IVF, so I'll have to tell her right away. Not sure why, but I'm not really excited to announce once we get our BFP. Maybe because it's been such a struggle.

I got the call from my clinic, 28 eggs fertilized! DH and I are so excited.
