WTO Wednesday

Re: WTO Wednesday

  • Month/Cycle:  5/4

    CD:  17

WAYD:  temping (my temp was slightly lower this morning so hopefully it'll start making it's way up tomorrow), sex ED, and, I know it's silly, but I'm using the cheapie OPK since I want to see the LH surge fade away...never done that before

R/R/CS:  I'm really hoping to see a clear temp shift this month since last month I got sick during FW and I don't think I O'd

MagnoliaRoseFern Yes it is for an SA. I didn't know where to go to get this done. He had three surgeries about ten years ago that required pain meds for an extended time (I'm talking months). I'm worried those may have caused a problem. Thanks for the advice.

I completely understand this.  Since he's not on the drugs anymore, he should probably just talk to his PCP about his and your concerns.  Long-term use of opiates (if those were the kind of drugs he was prescribed) can have an effect on testosterone and sperm quality, but since it was so long ago I don't know if there'd be residual impact today.  (Along those lines, you may want to ask the doctor if a testosterone test is warranted in addition to an SA.  It sounds like a PCP can order both.)  However, I'm not a doctor and am only marginally familiar with the issue.  If you haven't already, you might want to do some research on your own so you're both well-versed when you bring your concerns to his doctor.  Good luck!
  • Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD: 14

WAYD: temping and opks this month

R/R/CS: This is our last month that we are able to TTC until next summer due to my work schedule and I'm pretty sure we are out since we haven't had time to BD and had a positive opk this morning. I've been ovulating around cd 16, so I figured tomorrow would be fine since we will both actually be home. Oh well, I guess on the bright side I will still get to enjoy the margaritas in Cancun in 3 weeks...

GTKY--Who's your celebrity BFF? I would love to be BFFs with Amy Schumer. She has the same inappropriate humor as I do.
  • Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD: 11

    WAYD: Charting, OPK, HIO

R/R/CS: I'm raving that I finally have permission to post on the boards!! Weeeeeeee newbie win! Also raving that my CM has started ramping up already so I know I'll at least have the glue to get the little swimmers stuck where they need to be. The rest is still up in the air ;)

Celebrity BFF: I have so many in my head but the first one that popped to mind is only a sort of celebrity. Whitney from My Big Fat Fabulous Life. I started watching her show recently and she's hilarious and has a great spirit. We could hang.

  • @dnmanocchio so sorry to hear that! Be good to yourself today.

@KASG I get mine from Walmart. I can't remember the brand, but it's a green bottle. They're fairly inexpensive, and I take them at night to avoid nausea.

    Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD: 11

    WAYD: temping, OPKs, HIO

R/R/CS: Work is super crazy right now. We're preparing for a huge audit, so I've been and will continue to be working late, which is really cutting into my BD time! Don't these people know I'm trying to get KU?!?!

One more, slightly unrelated, question: So, once you've O-ed and are in the TWW, do you just...go to the TWW thread or update the WTO thread or...what's the protocol so it doesn't just seem rude or that you just disappeared?
I think everyone is slightly different.  Many of us wait until we get a third elevated temp to confirm O on FF, or until we are really sure we O'd. Usually we know people are close cause they say they are just waiting for a temp to confirm O, so people just head on over.  No one will think you're rude :)

ETA: Again, I think everyone is different for TWW too.  In TWW,  I personally just write that AF arrived and I am headed over to WTO, but not everyone does.  Either way I think is fine, but that's just me.
Usually I just disappear. ;) But I'm not really an every day participant in either thread.

  • @MNturnsVA sorry I am just now seeing this! Yes I O'd late last cycle too but I'm starting to think maybe it's normal? I will post in WTO Thursday & let you check out my stats.
