What did you guys say? That is some real bs!
@mrspepper05 YES to the your/you're thing. I'm irrationally irritated by it every time!

  • @cmerribury I agree. Chelsea Clinton didn't look great in them IMHO so I am sure I'd look/feel like a beached whale. I also probably would not wear pants to a formal event so I would never have anywhere to wear something like that since I no longer frequent da club.

  • If you are bored and want to read some good drama (possibly MUD) head on over the baby names board and read the posts by Estrogenfest and then check out her old ones. Holy cow!
WHOA. That lady is straight up crazy pants. I'm also really confused as to why she keeps mentioning this being her 5th, but only names three other children...like, what happened to the 4th!? Also, is she married, separated, what? Totally weird. Those poor kids.

Pretty entertaining. I def. feel bad for her kids especially the baby if she is for real. Did you read the post she wrote about hating her baby? She keeps referring to her as a fetus and how she never wanted her and just feels so unattached.

  • @Parker16772 Yeah, pretty awful. She kept saying "I need to come up with something to call the baby other than it" but then would post again calling her baby "IT"...hello, you don't need a name, you need to just STOP CALLING YOUR BABY IT and THE FETUS. I have a feeling she has some lingering issues with her separation (?). The only encouraging thing that she wrote was that she was going to talk to her OB about finding someone to talk to. I hope she does.

@skruhmin I feel your pain! My last baby was 9lbs 6oz and had a big old head. I don't care if this baby is a boy or a girl, I just pray that he or she is under 9lbs!!

The strange thing is, my first was 7lbs 12oz and I gained 40 lbs with her. My second was the 9 and a half pounder, and I only gained 25 lbs with that one. So clearly I have no control over this.
Yeah my first was 6.15.  And yet I tore with him.  DS I didn't tear at all.  Go figure.

My day was made at the dr. Got my shot, and I DIDNT GAIN ANY WEIGHT THIS WEEK! Considering I've put on almost 20 pounds already and i am hungry 24/7, this is a big success for me!

  • My OB told me that with the epidural she could keep most first time moms from tearing because she can guide the baby more. I mean, I was planning an epidural anyway but that sounds too good to be true.

I'm pretty sure it's all a crap shoot. I delivered naturally with no hospital staff in the room and didn't tear. She came out fast, too, so I was definitely worried about tearing.

  • Doctor gave me the all clear for Disneyworld and flying, but he was super vague about what I can do as far as rides go. Any suggestions? As far as Google tells me, people have done all spectrums at 20 weeks and turned out fine. Just need some other opinions here!

Feeling pretty terrible tonight. Ds and I were going to meet dh at work to visit before bed and I got halfway out the door before realizing I was forgetting my wallet. Walked back out the door and realized I must have dropped my keys because ds and I are locked out. Dh is in practice right now so we will probably have to wait about an hour to get back in. I am trying hard not to cry, poor ds is sitting in his carseat in the dark because we were getting too cold outside. This is seriously the second time this week I locked myself out this week. Seriously what is wrong with me.

I'd personally avoid all rides. I'm imagining roller coaster type things though, that pregnant women aren't supposed to ride. I've never been there though so maybe you mean something different?

  • @ecwk well there are roller coaster, bumpy type rides, and then there are rides like it's a small world, just sort of sit on and and look around sort of rides, which I think are probably fine! Just not sure if I'll be able to do the moderate, in-between sort of rides.

Personally, I wouldn't risk anything even moderately (insert appropriate adjective). The sit down, stationary ones would probably be fine but I'd avoid anything more thrilling. I went to a theme park in the summer and avoided all rides. It kind of sucked but it was no Disney land and there'll be so many non ride activities for you to do.

I went to Disneyland right after I found out I was pregnant with my daughter. You can look online for a list of rides (from the actual theme park) that you can and cannot go on. There is also typically a sign near the ride entrances that say whether or not pregnant women are allowed to ride.

Woke up nauseous this morning for the first time in over two months. Also I have had -20 energy power this week... thought it was Thursday all day long. Then, right at the end of the day I bent over to get something and when I stood up I had a horrible jabbing pain in the lower left side of my belly. I have no idea what it was and its still a little sore an hour later. I'm already ready for bed and it's only 5:50 here.

I personally would feel better avoiding all rides. You would probably be fine on the calmer ones I just feel like it is to big a risk.

My OB's office just called and they pushed my a/s back two weeks wahhhhhhh! I thought having it scheduled at 18+ weeks was too good to be true.

Silver lining is I heard baby's nice strong heartbeat today.

I'm sorry!! :( that's crappy news. What was their reasoning?
  • @JLaVO888 They originally scheduled it for the 28th and I guess that was a mistake since I'll be 18 weeks? IDK but DH and I have been counting down to the 28th so we're pretty bummed. Also planned on doing some sort of Halloween pregnancy/sex announcement on FB.

  • @2goofykids I would be wary of any rides that bump, go up or down quickly, etc that have some kind of bar system that goes over your tummy.  Jostling like that would be uncomfortable, and you wouldn't want the bar to slam into your tummy if the ride shifts quickly left or right (bumper cars/boats) or drops suddenly like the Tower of Terror.  It'll be an evaluation process most likely.  I bet most of the sit, ride, and see easy going rides will be easiest on you.  Watch parades, eat a lot of amazing food, etc ;)

Awwww but at least you heard the HB and still have a/s to look forward to!! I'll be 18+3 at mine on Friday!

  • So my random bit for tonight: my mom found out that we are hoping to move out of state soon. When I was induced with ds, she knew I didn't want her there, told her clearly to leave, and she told me that I would have to have security excort her out, that she wasn't leaving otherwise. She made me miserable the whole time, wined when I ended up having a c-section and I told her dh was going to be in the room, not her. Then, after I had him, she took a pic of him and left before I was out of the OR.
U actually was talking to my sister earlier, and told her that by moving, at least I wouldn't have to deal with mom. Then mom calls and starts crying about how she needed to know where I was so she could be there to help my. She knows it will be a scedualed csection and that she would not be able to help during labor (not like she was any help with ds). She says that she also wants to be close to help me for the first month or so, says that she has been there for every baby so far (she has been in the state for every baby but has only assisted my oldest sister with her kids). With mine and my other sibling's kids, even when she lived minutes away, she would not help, would not visit, wanted nothing to do with them.
At the end of the phone call, she says that she called dh today (while he is at work mind you) and was talking to him about ideas, ones that would have her close to us so she could "be there for us". She then hung up when she realized I was p***ed off about her calling dh.
Where ever we end up, whether we stay her or whatever, I will make sure the hospital desk has her picture and will not let her through. I will post online that no one is to visit at the hospital, and that any who try will be turned away. My phone will be turned off and Dh will only be allowed to send a notification to family when the babies are born. So furious right now, like she has any right to pull this. If she was ever a decent mom, I probably wouldn't mind her comments, but I would rather have them outside infont of strangers than to go with what she wants. Grrrr... I need a Hershey bar, but I can't eat chocolate. ... now I'm so mad I'm crying... go figure
  • Wow, just realized how long that wine was, sorry :(

Yeah I would be bummed too. Mine isn't until Nov 4th and the wait is killing me. I couldn't imagine if they called and said I had to wait two more weeks.

It's ok...it's good to get it all out. I wish for your sake she would just butt out and leave you guys be. Hopefully as the due date approaches she will not be as 'involved'.

Yep. It can be incredibly sharp and painful. Ds1's pregnancy I thought something was seriously wrong and went to the ER for it. Just rlp. Fun times.

My instincts told me not to get too worried but it was a very sharp pain. Made me have a hot flash it came on so quickly. But then it quickly started to tone down so I didn't get too stressed about it. Then I started to get stressed about not stressing about it haha.
