How long did you try to get KU?
One well timed try, same with thing 1. Just start calling me Myrtle.
Are you a first time mom? If not, how many little ones do you have?
We have one little dude, aka Sugar Booger, born July 14. He'll be 23 months at thing 2's ETA.
How did you tell your SO?
Texted him a picture of the BFP. It's kind of a tradition now.
What is your estimated due date?
5/25 by all of the online and app tools, but Dr. Appt tomorrow to get the official details.
Hello my name is Alyssa I am 23 and my pregnancy was a happy surprise as we found out four days after my SO proposed to me
We cought the pregnancy at a very early stage (4weeks) so my first ultrasound was just a black little spot. We also had to have three more confirmation ultrasounds after so that was stressful.
My EDD is May 6th.
We are very excited and already have names picked out for both sexes
I'm 35 years old and My due date is 5/6/16. This is my second and my first was born on 5/3/11! I'm a working mom so a little nervous about how to balance everything once the second one comes along. Very excited to find out the gender.
Hello all! My name is Sarah! I am a first time mom and I’m
very new to the community page so the acronyms are really throwing me off J .
Our pregnancy was a bit of a surprise to my husband and me,
but we are very excited. I normally keep
track on my menstrual cycle via a phone app which alerted me that I was a few
days late. That prompted me to take an at-home pregnancy test which ended up
being positive. The shear look of shock on my face was enough for my husband to
know that something was up so I kinda just blurted it out. I wish I would have
planned it out and told him in a cute way, but my excitement and nervousness
got the best of me.
How long did you try to get KU? It took us 2 months!! I thought it was going to take longer and were pleasantly surprised!
Are you a first time mom? If not, how many little ones do you have? I have a 2 1/2 year old boy
How did you tell your SO? I texted him a picture of my PPT. I was going out for drinks that night and I had that feeling and felt pretty crapy if I drank and then found out I was pregnant. I took it while hubby was at work and couldn't wait to tell him!
How long did you try to get KU?--We weren't ttc. We only just got married a couple months ago and wanted to wait a year. I chart my fertility signs and the positive came after our 2nd cycle charting.
Are you a first time mom? If not, how many little ones do you have?--First Time Mom
How did you tell your SO?--I had already told my husband that I was pretty sure I was pregnant several days before taking the test as my luteal phase is never more than 13 days. On day 17 of high temps I went to the store to get a test. My husband was home sick so he saw that I bought the test and waited for me outside the bathroom. Its taken us a few weeks to really get used to being pregnant, but we are very happy for our future little one.
What is your estimated due date?--EDD should be May 30
How long did you try to get KU? We started trying again after two miscarriages and I got pregnant right away. I'm currently 9 weeks and there's a strong heartbeat. Third time's the charm!
Are you a first time mom? If not, how many little ones do you have? First time mom.
How did you tell your SO? As soon as I saw that positive test I yelled out 'We're pregnant!' and hugged him.
Hi everyone, My name is Leah, and this is my first pregnancy. I'm 32, and my husband of 8 months is 29. We've been together for 6 years. We live in Maine, I'm an RN. My due date is May 28th and we are very exited, we ttc for about 7 months and I was starting to worry as it seemed everyone around me was getting pregnant! Also very nervous about miscarriage as I used to work in an OB/GYN office and I feel like I know too much sometimes! First US on wed so hoping it looks ok.
We wasn't trying, just extremely lucky and very fertile. This will be our 6th baby and our last. We have boy, girl, boy, girl, boy so who knows if this one will follow the pattern. Due date is May 18.
How long did you try to get KU? I was off BC for 10 months, and we were actively trying for 8 months (which ended up being 6 cycles for me). My husband has a history of undescended testicle(s) so we had just had an SA done, and then 2 weeks later I had my positive test. His SA turned out to be marginal/pretty low normal, so was extra relieved and surprised when we did it on our own!
Are you a first time mom? First pregnancy for both of us
How did you tell your SO? I kept it to myself for 5 days and had my first hCG done. We were going away for the weekend and I waited until we were at the beach with our dog, and just said "I'm pregnant" super calm. He was shocked
I'm 33 and we are married 18 months today. had a m/c very early in January and since then I've been diagnosed with pcos and we got to meet my friend clomid, who thankfully worked on the first try!
I am a first time mom and our edd is may 30 (sneaking in by the skin of my teeth) which is actually adjusted from May 23 according to lmp.
my husband knew I was testing because we were going on vacation the next day. he heard me gasp (those digital tests leave nothing to the imagination) and I just held it up. very YouTube worthy lol.
Yikes, we tried for a month and got pregnant right away!
Are you a first time mom? If not, how many little ones do you have?
I have a DS who was born June 2013 and is 2
How did you tell your SO?
Nothing to exciting this time around, he was sleeping after and I woke him up. Although we do have a big announcement to the rest of our family around Halloween.
It took me and my hubby 3 mths (2cycles) for this baby!
I am not a first time mom, we have had one miss carraige, and lost a baby this past may due to a birth defect and have one healthy 3 year old. So we are definitely praying for another healthy baby!!
I have already been to the doctor and I am due May 20th!
Hello my name is kristin. I'm 25 and a stay at home mother. I have a 3 year old daughter her name is Odette. And im pregnant and due may 3rd. Even tho this was unplanned I'm very excited and can't wait for the exciting steps in this pregnancy and birth of this surprise baby!
Hi all, We weren't really trying so was a suprise to find out I was pregnant. I am a first time mum due 7 May (based on ultrasound as I had no idea how far along I was). I was in shock when I told hubby, just showed him the pee stick and said looks like we are going to be parents!
Hi there, my names susan and I am 29. I am 7w +3d pregnant and I am super excited. Very nervous though as this is infact my second pregnancy but in the summer we had bad news at the first scan. Our little baby girl has severe Turner syndrome and hydrops and we were told that she would not make it through the next few days. We were so shocked as there were no signs and I myself felt fine. We tried again when things had settled down and first time was lucky and we are expecting again. Cannot stop worrying though, just can't seem to relax despite the consultants telling us that it was a completely random genetic condition and the chances of it happening again are very slim. Has anyone been through anything similar?
Hello everyone! So excited to join you all albeit stills it shocked.
How long did you try to get KU? We had decided in June to stop BC and begin to "try"
Are you a first time mom? If not, how many little ones do you have? First time mom!!
How did you tell your SO? I took a HPT ( without my husband knowing)because I wasn't feeling like myself and I was about 12 days late (according to my handy dandy app). At first I thought the test was negative but as I looked at it closer I saw a faint vertical line that completed the "positive" indication. Since I wasn't sure if I was making this up in my head I asked my husband to take a look. I prefaced my request by saying "OK don't freak out, but can you look at this and tell me what you see". Needless to say he was confused by my requested and then shocked when he saw what I was looking at LOL. He saw the faint line as well and got a HUGE grin on his face. We both decided to wait a couple of days and test again to be sure. The second and third tests were way more conclusive...so here I am!
My EDD: according to my handy dandy app it's May 24. (Two days after my birthday) My first Dr. Appointment is Oct 19 so I should get an updated EDD then.
Hey Everyone! Just thought I would introduce myself. Also, congratulate all the other moms! This is an excited but scary time. Enjoy as much as you can!
How long did you try to get KU? 3 months off of birth control.
Are you a first time mom? If not, how many little ones do you have? I have a 20 month old son. who keeps me VERY active and worn out!
How did you tell your SO? I had my son wear a batman shirt that said "I have a big secret" on the front and "I'm going to be a BIG Brother" on the back. He was super excited!
How long did you try to get KU? We hadn't actually started trying yet. Not necessarily preventing though. Are you a first time mom? If not, how many little ones do you have? Nope, we have a 4yo daughter How did you tell your SO? Woke him up out of a dead sleep and shouted for him to come in and look at this right away. Lol. Obviously I put a lot of thought into it.
My EDD is 5/31/16 but we shall see. My cycles are usually longer than 28 days so I'll be waiting (impatiently) for my first appointment for confirmation.
We decided to start trying in August when we were going to take a vacation and wouldn't you know, we conceived on the first try! We honestly were shocked because we were convinced that me being 35 would maybe delay things at least a few months. We took the pregnancy test the day I was expecting my period and we both were surprised and then once it set in, really excited! Due May 23rd!
How long did you try to get KU? My husband and I been trying for 2 years
Are you a first time mom? If not, how many little ones do you have? First time mom
How did you tell your SO? I Called him on the phone crying telling him I am pregnant. A short story about this i was sick and my bp was high so my mom said to come over b.c she has a bp machine and bring a pregnancy test.
I was waiting for my period to return, 16 months pp it came back, and then we did get pregnant after a couple months and I lost that baby early this year. Then right when I was ready to give up about 6 months after that got my positive!
I have 3 children, a sweet boy 4 yo and darling girl 2 yo.
I wanted to do something clever but was so excited I told him that day as soon as he came in from work. I called him into the kitchen and stage whispered it. Bc if the kids heard they would have told everyone!
Due May 2nd. So maybe an April baby, my birthday month!
Hi, first time mom here! Fiancé and I weren't actually trying and this was a wonderful surprise blessing. He and I took the test together so I didn't have to tell him. EDD is 5/14!
First time mom here! Still a bit in shock. Hubby and I have been trying for 2 years. Saw the heart beat today, it was amazing. Due date is May 25, 2016.
I'm pregnant with my second child this one is due on the 23rd may, which is exactly the same DD as my son who was born on the 10th may, so I've conceived exactly the same time 3 years on!! I'm over the moon!xx
How long did you try to get KU? We weren't trying yet. We were in the talks of trying in the fall though, I was on the fence, but the decision was made for me
Are you a first time mom?If not, how many little ones do you have? I am going to be a first time mom.
How did you tell your SO? The day after we came home from vacation, I took the test with a friend, got the positive result and went out and bought a chalkboard and wrote the news on it and left the test sitting in front of it so that he would know when he walked in the door.
Hello! This is my first pregnancy and is a huge blessing for my family. My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer in August. My husband and I were planning on waiting a year or two longer before TTC but after learning of her condition we stepped into high gear. We conceived on our first try! My mother is so excited to be a grandma (this will be the family's first grandchild). I have always wanted to be a mother and am so happy to be pregnant, but this whole experience will be bittersweet I fear. I'm a little worried about the stress involved with supporting my mother (and family) through her treatment. Is anyone else in a similar situation?
Hi everyone! This will be my second baby, I'm due May 14th. I have a 20 month old son, I'm 24 years old, and DH and I are about to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary.
We were planning on ttc in November because we're moving from NM to FL in the spring. So we were very surprised to find out I was already pregnant! We're really excited but definitely stressed about the move. I'll either be really pregnant or have a newborn.
I'm also anxious about my first ultrasound in 2 weeks because almost all pregnancy tests, including blood, were neg until I was 6 weeks. I won't be surprised if my due date gets pushed back just like with DS, we'll see!
Hello! Sorry for the late intro- I spent last week lurking and didn't post before that!
We tried for one month and came up positive. The same with our other daughter (she is 4). I wanted to wait until DH graduated from dental school to try again. I am 30 and he is 31.
I called him at work to tell him (not romantic, I know!) I think I was in shock still! All he said was, "I am heading home now."
Based on my last US, I am due May 15th.... Which is one day sooner than my LMP indicated! We found out this baby is a girl too! We are really excited!
