18 weeks 6 days. I've lost 16 in the last 8 weeks from coming off one of my medications. Last visit I was more concerned than the doctor. He said as long as the baby is growing I'll be fine. Hopefully I've plateaued and will start gaining it back.
I've gained approx eight lbs and I'm 17 weeks. I'm scared....that seems like a lot. My midwife wasn't concerned though so there's that.... *resumes eating*
19 weeks today, down 14lbs but at least I have not lost anymore in the past few weeks. I have been eating everything in sight but the scale still says 128, even my daughter said I was eating all of our food. Lol.
I am 17w3d and as of today I was down 2 pounds from my start weight. I have constantly gone back and forth between my start weight and about 4 pounds lighter. I can only assume that I am losing fat weight and gaining the baby weight back in return.
My doctor isn't concerned so I try not to be. I can tell where my clothes are fitting looser in some areas...it's weird because I am obviously pregnant. I'll probably blow up right at the end.
I'm up 10 lbs at 17 weeks. I'm really not wanting to gain 50 like I did with my son. I still was carrying about 15 of it when I got pregnant again so that's discouraging. I'm really not eating the best I could, I wish I had more energy and motivation
15 lbs at 19 weeks. Technically I was overweight to begin with, but I'm a bigger girl with an active job so I'm not too worried about it. I'm halfway there, so 30 lbs at the end of my pregnancy isn't too bad! I had an incredibly hard time with morning sickness and had an aversion to pretty much everything so I actually had to force food down the first 15 weeks or so, so not sure why I gained so much? My hypothyroidism is in check too. Oh well.
I'm 16+4 and I haven't gained any weight and it freaks me out a bit. I lost 10lbs. during the first trimester, and since 12 weeks I have only lost one more, so that's good, I guess. Doctor said it's fine for now, but thinks I should gain 20lbs. by the due date. My clothes are looser everywhere except the tummy. DH thinks it's kinda funny.
Will be 20 weeks in two days and I'm up 15 pounds. The number on the scale is scary but at least my baby is healthy. Hopefully I just gain 15 more in the second half. I just lost 20 pounds before I got pregnant and then BAM, two pink lines. Lol. So glad I was able to get in shape before getting pregnant, makes me feel like it's much more achievable to do after baby gets here.
Down five from my pre-pregnancy weight - now at 18 weeks- due to feeling crappy in the beginning. I gained over 80 with my first so I know it's coming any day. I know it's partially just how it works, and partially because I stop caring, but I gain significantly more the second half. I think it's unrealistic to think your gain during the first half will be equal to your gain in the second- generally speaking. I was over due and pumped full of fluids before my first delivery, and had a ten pound baby. I nursed and most came off very quickly. Hoping to gain about 25 this time around and also drop quickly.
I'm up 7-8 lbs now at 18 & 5, which has me pretty much on track for the 25-35 that's recommended.
I keep stressing about it--too much? too little?--but I think my body knows what it's doing and I should just chill out, eat if I'm hungry, stop if I'm not, and just let it do its thing.
@AlphabetFish I'm really stressing too. I'm up about 6lb and I'm 16.5 weeks. It's just hard giving up control and letting your body do its thing- getting bigger! Hoping I stay within the 25-35 weight gain range.
So far at 19 weeks I have not gained any considering my initial loss of 7 lbs. But I have rebounded from it and gained 4 lbs in the last month, so sitting at -3. Appointment is in a week, so we'll see what the doc says.
Same here! I lost 8 in first trimester and at my 20 week appointment on Monday I have only gained a total of 5 back in second trimester. The doctor didn't seem too worried as long as I try to eat healthy and get nutrients. She keeps saying "it will come".
I've now gained 5 more pounds just in the past week or two. Idk if it was just the time of day that I weighed myself or what. But my diet hasn't really changed at all. Definitely bumming me out. Funny how 5 pounds can motivate me to exercise more..
I'm 17+1 & I've lost about 10kgs (last time I checked anyways) I was & am overweight though so the morning sickness + cold = me not being able to stomach anything for a while which contributed to that ahha
I've gained about 10 lbs, at week 19. It is so hard for me to be okay with gaining weight lik this! But its for my baby! I have to remind myself of that a lot. I'm guessing that I'm gaining faster now, I'm hungry every 3 hours!! Definitely living the stereotypical pregnant woman scenario, eating all the time!
@mshukh Exactly the same here! Lost 7 and gained back about 4 at 20 weeks! My doctor doesn't weigh me. 20 week scan was good, OB was very happy with the measurements so I am not worried. Bump is getting bigger too! I am hungry all the time but sometimes just so fed up with the food... can't bare the sight of an other wholewheat sandwich or a rice cake with humus! LOL
I just want to know what is the point of this thread now? You all should stop comparing yourselves to others, there are too many variables and there's no point in doing so. Reading what one woman has done "oh I'm 17 weeks and I've lost 5 pounds overall!! Haha oops" is not going to make you feel good or realistic. Stop talking about weight and then so many women won't be self conscious over it. I'm 20 weeks and up 18-20 pounds. Guess what!? Who cares!!
@SuperTrooper2 Sounds like you feel sensitive about your weight gain and could probably benefit from not looking at this thread.
I have also gained so I don't want to put words in the mouths of women that have lost, but I am sure they find comfort coming here knowing they are not alone?
Trying to dictate what people post about usually doesn't go over well. If you don't like the content of a thread, I'd suggest skipping it.
I'm not sensitive at all actually.....Like I said I look and feel great. Actually my doctor told me I needed to gain weight while we were TTC. I just don't think it's a very productive thread or see the point in comparing your weight to someone else without any background information.

Your opinion is certainly valid and I actually agree with it, I just don't see the point of commenting on a thread that specifically talks about women sharing their weight fluctuations and telling those women to stop talking about their weight fluctuations. However, this is the internet and you are obviously allowed to comment in any way you see fit, but I really don't know why you insist on shaming women for caring about their weight gain/loss just because you don't.
At 17 wks exactly, I'm only up 3 lbs based on myself keeping track. When I went to the doctor last Friday they told me I had lost 60 lbs from last month and my eyes crossed :-O! Apparently they had my original weight at 220 lbs which was totally false. Thank goodness I've been keeping track.

So don't read it....? Seriously though, this is an established thread which gets constant activity so clearly many people do enjoy reading it or posting here. I agree with you that there's not much point in comparing yourself to others but I'm not going to bust in here and tell everyone to stop.
I don't necessarily think the women in this thread are using it to compare themselves to others, either. But like flowerpower mentioned, some women might find comfort in seeing that there are other women who have similar situations to theirs. Or, for me, I just want a place to blab about something that is a huge part of pregnancy for me (body changes in general) without boring anyone in my real life, who certainly don't care to chat about how I've gained 3 lbs in one week, or whatever.

Ugh I'm 19 weeks now and up 15 according to the scales yesterday. I'm trying to blame that on my super baggy pants I wore and my heeled shoes.
I feel like the little adipose dudes from Doctor Who are getting up at night and migrating from elsewhere on the body

This time I was about 7 lbs above my normal weight and also out of shape fitness wise when this little surprise came along...
This weight tracker is cool and gives personalized info about your weekly weight. It's great if you're neurotic like me! https://m.thebabycorner.com/tools/pregnancy/calculators/weightcalculator.php

I started at 127 and I'm 5'7 so I look great!!
