Good thing that's an aversion @bntfroggie thanks a lot :-&
Who is this baby of yours no ice cream no cookies? ugh I can't even ha ha
I'm telling you, as soon as I deliver, me and baby are having serious words! And I'm going to order the biggest hot fudge sundae this side of the Mississippi.

***Lurker from TTGP*** Bravo to the food GIFs! I know weight gain is a huge issue for some. Especially if they've never struggled to maintain or lose. I am wishing you all happy, healthy pregnancies.
In the end, the amount you gain is not a reflection of you as a human, woman or mother. It's just your relative gravitational pull to the earth.
Those that have a hard time gaining aren't doing it on purpose to spite those that gain easily. Those that lose easily afterward aren't better people. They don't want it more or work harder-- they just get lucky in the metabolic department.
I lost all and then some with both pregnancies. Extended nursing has put some back on. Yes, I'm heavier than I probably should be, but my body has done amazing things & life is damn short.
We all do our best & you are more than your weight! Pregnant or not, your value is not determined by a number on the scale!
Super huge hugs to anyone that needs it (on either side of this situation).
"The only time I have ever mentioned starving the baby was in reference to the ONE woman who posted a thread about being threatened with hospitalization if she didn't start gaining but still didn't want to eat anything not deemed healthy. "
Just wanted to say that I never said I didn't want to eat anything unhealthy. Unfortunately I can't eat bowls of ice cream and dozens of donuts during this pregnancy because it makes me sick so I was simply wanting options that weren't loaded with sugar. Thanks for telling people that I was starving my baby @lanatalia ...
@lanatalia I don't care that people know that it's me that you are talking about. I'm not just going to sit and let you make me sound like an incompetent mother. I've been doing much better since I made that post (over two weeks ago) and am back up to my pre pregnancy weight. Thanks for your concern...
So I mentioned previously that I have gained a couple of pounds but DAMN my clothes (specifically pants) are just barely fitting! Come on fall weather, I need you ASAP so I can just wear dresses, tights and boots all winter! Seriously, I weigh less than I did this time last wear (about 20 pounds) but my clothes are tighter than ever and no cute bump to blame it on. So bizarre how fast your body starts to change!
ETA: I am so happy to hear that you're feeling better, @shacerouge! Yay for getting closer/into the second trimester!
@shacerouge glad to hear you and baby are doing better!
@flowerpower5838 I'm with you. I've only gained 3lbs (i'm sorta midsection pudgy) and none of my pants close!! I keep trying to wear flowy (is that a word, well it is now) shirts but I can't wait for leggings and sweater weather!!
For once I am happy to live in a miserable et cold country... been rocling leggings, boots and sweaters for a couple of weeks
Think I found my preg style- black leggings, boots, long tank (enough to cover lady bits in the front)with a tighter fitting bump showing shirt and long butt covering cartigan.... need to invest in some more long necklaces

@shacerouge I am glad to hear you are feeling better!
@flowerpower5838 I have lost some weight due to MS but none of my clothes fit either!! I am showing at this point so I guess it makes sense but I feel like I've been squeezing into clothes for weeks. Luckily I'm a nanny so I regularly slum it in sweat pants and leggings anyway
I'm 12w5d and am just now finally starting to gain a little bit of weight from all that I lost in the first two months (lost about 8lbs from morning sickness). I think in total I've gained about 2.5lbs back!
I thought I had posted on here previously, but I can't find it. I am 15 weeks today I have lost 7 lbs, which is good because I am overweight, but it worries me. I want to eat every 2 hours, but when I do, it's like a cheese stick, or handful of triscuits. This is number 2. With my first, I gained 60 lbs, which was way too much. I am craving Ramen, and Cereal, and not wanting much else. Hopefully, that will change, but I hope I can keep weight gain total to about 20to 25 lbs. After baby, I want to get back in shape. other than being sleepy, I am feeling good.
I'm 13 weeks and have lost 13lbs, but in the last week my weight has been stable. I'm overweight and have had all day nauesa for a couple months so no surprise of the loss. Not much of an appetite still, but it's getting better! As long my little one is getting enough nutrients, I'll put up with the growing heartburn and constipation lol.
Yes! Fall/winter clothing sounds amazing right now! I would love to snuggle in big warm coats right now... although it's hard to find an appropriate time to do so in California.
So far I've lost about 10lbs and I'm almost 12 weeks. I don't look like I've lost any weight since I'm not small to begin with. Saw the OB yesterday and all she said was... if I'm throwing up too much, she can prescribe me something to help. She just reminded me to take my vitamins and let me go on with my life.
I agree with everyone on how great fall/winter clothes sound! I'm 13wk3days and have only gained a couple of lbs but my clothes barely fit! Crazy how your body changes, I basically have an extra tire around my midsection Oh well! I'll be busting out the leggings soon, and will hopefully have a cute bump in the next few weeks here!
@flowerpower5838 that is totally me! I have only gained around 5 lbs but I only have two pairs of jeans that still fit and they were my previous fat pants. At the end of the day I feel like I looked PG even though it' still mostly bloat. I swear it looks like I have gained 15lbs just in my stomach. I am totally ready for a cute bump like some of the ladies here have!
I've gained about 5 lbs total, but most of that I gained at the beginning because I ate way more bacon that I should have, and then started eating healthier, and it leveled off. I haven't gained in the last couple weeks because of that.
I think there is just something genetic over how you gain bc every pregnancy loss or gain story I've ever heard in my 15 yrs of childbearing have no common variables. No one seems to be trying the lose or gain on purpose. I hate to see women worry on either side of spectrum. I literally gain 5-10lbs every pregnancy whether I eat well or not. Whether I have MS or not. In my pregnancies I have in subsequent order suffered no MS, moderate MS and this oh so lucky time severe MS and yet boom.... still 5-10lbs. My BFF loses no matter what she tries. Kinda sucks so much pressure is put on either one if mom and baby are healthy and happy.....well, aside from the puking and mouthwatering nausea. That still royally sucks.
16 weeks and i lost 6 pounds, but my weight is now stable! Not gained anything yet, but I'm sure that will be happening soon. Letting the whole "you have to eat healthy" go a bit. If I really crave a burger, I'm just gonna have it. With fries. And no, not on a whole wheat bun... I eat 3 pieces of fruit and 400 g of veg a day, so I can have a little bad stuff. seems to be working
I lost a total of 25.4 pounds according to the doctors scales. But I went in yesterday and I gained back 2 pounds of it. Finally, no more worrying about being in the hospital. Food still sucks, eating is a nessesary evil (or so my stomach thinks) but we are on the right track. Hurray for healthy bodies!
@red3ye did you do something different to gain the weight or did your body just finally start doing what it's supposed to do? My hunger has came back and I am eating everything but still no gain, but I finally stopped losing weight.
Meds to help stop vomiting and basically I just eat anything that doesn't sound repulsive. If it's a cold meet sandwhich, cottage cheese and peaches have become a new favorite, lots of ramen. I know cold sandwhich meat is supposed to be avoided but hot meats tend to make me sick and about the only other protein I can keep down is a boiled egg here and there. But basically, I just force myself to eat, keep the meals small and frequent, and with the meds I have gotten lucky and begun gaining.
I think a big part though is just that my body began working with me. I have been doing the same for 6 weeks now and have only just now begun gaining.
I thought I had stopped losing weight.., I'm 13w4d along and am down 15 pounds due to my nausea and morning sickness- doctor says it's fine though because I had weight to lose anyways! Baby is growning just fine

Ironically I checked TB because the book I'm reading wouldn't stop talking about food..
I love her.
Now I've just gotta figure out how to eat it without the girls catching me.
