Yay! I asked my doc whether I could go in 3 business days earlier for genetic testing and u/s and he said yes. My next appt is in 2 days now. Glad that I can get the genetic test results earlier. Just praying that it all goes well.
And the doc said... Everything looks PERFECT! She gave us the all clear to "go ahead and let the cat out of the bag" since people are guessing I'm pregnant. (Second baby, 4th pregnancy definitely made my stomach pop sooner!) I'm smiling from ear to ear and am SO thankful!!!
My next appointment is for a little over 10 weeks, on 10/19. We're supposed to answer about a million questions, discuss the different testing options, and listen to the heart beat with a doppler in the office. About 2.5 weeks, I just hope everything stays good!
My first appt is on the 12th with the nurse practitioner, no u/s.... I will then have to wait until October 22nd for my first u/s a little over 8 weeks...it feels like so long from now.

Yay, my doc appt today went well. We are doing just fine! For the 1st time doc wants me to come back in several weeks so that makes me happy. Now the wait for the MaterniT21 results begins.....!
Reviving this thread - my next US is tomorrow morning, I'll be 10w1d.
Saw a heartbeat at 6 weeks and have been feeling nauseated as all get
out since then, but still have myself convinced that something is wrong.
Probably just in my head. We'll find out tomorrow!
Just got back. Didn't end up doing an ultrasound because we were able to hear baby's heartbeat on doppler, and the dr said it sounded great. What a relief! And I get a for real ultrasound in a week and a half when we go in for the genetic counseling appointment.
@GoatSnakeMouse I'm so glad to hear you had a great appointment. I think I may be next on this thread with my appointment on Monday. It is a doppler appointment so fingers crossed we find our little one's heartbeat.

I am so anxious for my 10-week appointment a week from Monday (10/19) in the morning. It's what, 11 days away? It feels like an eternity! We had the 8-week ultrasound and everything was great, but due to the genetic abnormality my husband has I think the risk is still very high all throughout the first trimester at least, although gets less the further we make it.
And yes, I know I posted practically the same thing last week, but argh, I'm so anxious about it!

Hi all, I had some light brown spotting tues evening and Wednesday, I didn't have any yesterday or this morning, but the doc wants me to come in for an early u/s- it will be a little over 6 weeks, I am freaking out, wasn't mentally prepared for an US early Monday morning, I am half excited half dreading it- I hope everything is ok. Symptoms are getting stronger (nausea, boobs are very large, and stretching in the abdomen) so I feel ok in that sense. I'll let yall know how it goes!

I am at the doctor now, waiting for a 10 week ultrasound. Very nervous and hoping everything is ok with our little one. Hope everyone else's appointments go well!
@klauerinaking brown spotting is normal I've heard, fingers crossed for you and hoping for a positive ultrasound. Right there with you, keep us posted.
My ultrasound went great today. Little one was moving like crazy and it was one of the greatest things I have ever seen. Starting to look like a little human too!!!
My appointment is one week from tomorrow (Mon)! I'll be a little over 8wks- which is about when I lost the last two. I'm really praying that everything will be clear one way or the other. Either empty ultrasound or big healthy baby with a quick heartbeat. Just one more week!
I had an ultrasound at 5w3d barely a sac. 6w3d very pronounced sac and yolk. I have 7w2d on Wednesday and I am praying to everyone's holy figure that we see a heartbeat.
we had them early and frequently bc we were seeing a RE and my hcg didn't quite double at 5w. he said everything seems on track he's just nervous there was no hb.
did this ever happen to anyone else and you saw a hb week 7????
Hi all, we had an early ultrasound this morning. Baby was measuring 6w1d-right on track and we saw the heartbeat!! So relieved, since we went in due to light brown spotting earlier last week. Everything looks good-next appt at 8w5d!

I just got back from my appointment. Heard a strong heartbeat with the Doppler. I'm 10w3d now. I go back in 3 weeks for another Doppler check in and then a scan when I'm 15 weeks.
I recorded the heartbeat for my husband and I am so glad I have it to listen to
Congrats to everyone for the great appointments!! I go in on Friday for my 12 week appointment. Haven't made it this far before so very nervous and hoping for only good things. Any thoughts on what to expect? Really hoping to hear the heartbeat via doppler... We have seen it twice but haven't heard it yet. Know I won't have an ultrasound bc my doc doesn't do them in office.
PS do you ladies bring your husbands or sig others to your appointments? I don't want my hubby to have to take off a lot of time for these but he is very supportive and has offered to come to all of them. If this is our first chance to hear the HB I know he will want to be there, but is that normal practice? I feel like I don't usually see men in my ob's office...
I went today. I measured 6w3d but math wise from ovulation I SHOULD be 8w3d. been having weekly scans and it's progressing well just slooooooq at first. any ideas? he was half worried it was a chromosome issue and half optimistic
@spatter1 It's fun to bring him along if he can make it! I'd say yes to the first appointment if there's an ultrasound or fun stuff!! But then after that, they're generally pretty routine. Our deal is DH comes to the ultrasounds and any appointments that he wants to/can make easily after that.
@spatter1 I bring DH from time to time when he can. He's been a few times, and luckily he's been there for a few important doc appts. When he saw the first U/S he got very happy and was smiley the rest of the day. He doesn't say much but he seems happy to see the progression of the pregnancy. If you're about to hear a heartbeat It'd be a nice chance for your SO to come with you. I'm bringing mine to my next appt in a week hoping to hear our little one's hearbeat - we'll be 13weeks!
@spatter1 I have been bringing my husband to all my appointments in the first trimester, just in case. He really wants to come because he wasn't there when they discovered the MMC and he felt horrible that I had to come tell him. Once the appointments get more frequent I think he will come less.

Thanks for the feedback! He has been to both ultrasounds which was great. I think we are getting the results of the cfDNA test tomorrow too, and MIGHT find out the gender so I definitely will bring him. Really hope everything comes back OK. I agree that as we get further along I'll only have him come for the ultrasounds and maybe the last couple of appointments before baby makes its debut.
@bntfroggie I think mine has a similar fear that something bad will happen or be discovered and I'll be alone. Luckily he was there when the discovered my MMC this spring. I wouldn't have been able to drive home I was such a mess. I am so sorry you were alone; as if there was a way to make a horrific experience even worse...
@Kimey1 we must be pretty close in EDD then! I'll be 13 weeks next Thursday. I hope we both hear good strong heartbeats!
@spatter1 I say bring him for any appointments that are more than the routine stuff. I downloaded "Voice Recorder (Free)" for my iPhone. The doppler recording was much more clear with this app than taking a video to capture it. Even if he's there I recomend recording it. I've enjoyed being able to play it back. I emailed it to my husband right away so he could hear it too.
