@devyns2nd you and LO have been through too much already, so sorry to hear this! Prayers for a fast recovery and getting out of the hospital (and away from sick folks) ASAP!
@devyns2nd so sorry, lady. your babe sounds resilient so here's hoping this passes quickly, too. thinking of you both and sending big creepy internet hugs

Yes... This is the baby that made it through a tornado, right? Definitely resilient! Hoping he feels better soon, and I'm glad he is getting good care.
I ran over a squirrel! There are a lot of squirrels on our street and they always run in front of the car and I just assume they know what they're doing. This one didn't. And the worst part was that when I looked in the rear view mirror I could see it trying to get up. Poor squirrel, I feel terrible.
The children's books drive me nuts. Haha. I still read them though. And I think I'll love you forever is total
I'm at the doctor right now because my husband got foliculitis, diagnosed himself, and didn't think it was contagious. Well guess who started breaking out last night. He came this morning and got antibiotics and now I'm here. On top of that, I'm just getting over a yeast infection and I know antibiotics are going to make it return. So far also isn't breaking out but I'm keeping an eye on him and stressing about it of course. I realize many of you are going through worse so thanks for letting me have this pity party!
Also I can totally relate to the dogs that have no awareness. LO has been stepped on 5 times but luckily our dog is only around 13 lbs.

I'm sorry. When i was a teen I was driving my dads truck thru some fields at night and last minute saw a cat in the road. I hit the brakes and tried to steer around it, but it juked back and right underneath the car. I still feel so bad about that. It was near a house, it was probably a farm cat, and I always imagined some little girl loving on it and then wondering where it was. Poor animals.
@amccoy129 yikes, yeast infections suck!! Watch out for LO too we just had a terrible time with thrush. Apparently it can get in the esophagus too. FX it passes and you feel better soon.

I remember reading about that! Hope you're LO is feeling better!
Ladies there is a strong solar magnetic storm hitting earth right now, the probability of seeing the Northern Lights has crept southward! Check out this page to learn more and see if you have a chance to see them. It has maps and graphs and all kinds of cool aurora watching stuff. https://www.aurora-service.org/aurora-forecast/
Obviously you still have to be towards the north, and it will have to be dark with very little light pollution, but the last time we had a solar storm like I saw the northern lights from a field right by my house (I live in the sticks, anyway, but you never know...)
I've had 2 glasses of wine, feeling loopy with my cold, have to stay up til 3a because I'm working for the next 4 nights. So naturally, I'm about to go HAM and impart my wisdom on the names board.

Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.
Is it bad that the only positive accomplishment I can come up with this week is that I am winning on the 4 months stats thread? Oh wait was that not a contest? Now I've got nothing. LO screamed for 2 hours straight last night, at top volume and until he turned purple. Is that even a thing at 4 months? And we were at early childhood parent education. And when he finally feel asleep he woke up laughing 20 minutes later. When do our kids start f'ing with us? Is that a leap? Maybe he IS advanced. Hmmm.
Am I just mental or do other moms out there read some of these children's books and think WTH?! I read "Love You Forever" and thought "Well, this is kind of creepy...why is this woman breaking into her son's home to rock him while he is asleep?!"
Made me grateful that my MIL lives so far away, I'm sure I'd see her crazy ass trekking a ladder to our house to rock DH while he sleeps.
Reading Curious George to DS drives me nuts. Why to continue to leave your monkey unattended and trust him to not get into trouble, when he has proven time and again that he has no self control?!?
I almost peed my pants reading this comment, thanks for the laugh!
Goodness, what is going on a the sense of self thread. If I wasn't already having enough of an existential crisis already this week . . . Now I don't exist? Sorry I have to bite on that one.
I have stepped away from that one. When someone asks a "am I the only one who feels this" type of question, they're looking for support. Not a philosophical debate on existence. All I could think was "I bet you're really boring at parties."
Kudos to @henrytviii. I'd rather participate than observe as well. I am more than a physical body.
I guess we'll just have to lurk on our own. I'm still confused by the closing of a thread that organizes threads for reading. Maybe my gifs crossed the line. :-?? Cracking down on sarcasm now? This place is getting pretty strict.
Lol, I didn't see what you meant at first! I think the Bump gods always say you're not allowed to create new threads about closed threads. And since so many of the mentioned threads got closed... Our thread somehow fell into that category.
Other random: DH is applying for a job with a local craft brewery today. Please send good juju his way! (I'm hoping he will be less cranky if he can get this gig...!)

I hit a dog laying in the road once and felt so bad! I was balling and turned around to let the owners know...15 kids stood in the street screaming. Turns out it was a girl scout camp fire and it was there troop dog sleeping in the rd. Talk about traumatizing.
From what Ive gathered over the last year we are being watched. Ha, we were the "mean" group for a while. They will shut our shit down quick. Sticky a post...takes months.
Yeah, I both do and don't understand. Its not like we were going over to these threads and interacting there... But then it does say that discussion of a closed thread is a no-no, but I guess I always thought that meant that those who had participated couldn't then take their argument and restart / continue it somewhere else. Like, now I'm wondering if I will get in trouble for pondering out loud about our closed thread that referenced closed threads... 8-}
Anyway. @devyns2nd - oohhh noooo. A troop dog. That REALLY sucks. But on the other hand, one of those scouts should have been in charge of watching the dog so that it didn't, oh, I don't know... Wander into the road and get hit by a car?
@mellymar he said that the dog "sleeps" in the rd. But he wasn't at his home and this was a busy rd. His wife was screaming about people flying down that rd all day. The speed limit is 55 lady. I still cried for days though.

WHO lets a dog SLEEP in a road? Both of their arguments are totally invalid. Nobody in the world expects to have to worry about a dog sleeping a road. The should put up one of those caution signs then, back along the way. "Warning - random dog usually in road"
@awolfff the book was written for adults who had lost their babies. He wrote it after the loss of his twins. I taught an authors unit on Robert Munsch to kindergartners and came across this @henrytviii I win for the smallest baby then.
Brought my car in for an oil change, tire rotation, etc. He said it'd be about an hour and 15 min to do all of that and also wash my car (yay). I looked over at the nice empty room with a TV, nice chairs, good coffee, no husband or baby and thought GOOD! I feel like I'm on vacation! LOL! \:D/
@devyns2nd I would have cried too, but what stupid people. Honestly. Even without going fast, it would be hard to stop for a sleeping dog. So nice of you to stop.
I can't help myself. I keep thinking there have been a lot of special snowflake type posts by the same person that could easily fit into other categories...just saying!!
I've been organizing a lot today so maybe it's rubbing off on my bump reading.
