Ladies in the path of Joaquin, stay safe and dry. I grew up in Fl and know about hurricanes. Hopefully it will just be rainy and you can snuggle and watch hunky Jim Cantore in his poncho on the beach

Thanks ladies. We have all preparations in place and are as ready as possible if it hits. We have a 4 day diesel generator here on the farm and a wood burning stove. Just hoping that we don't lose any trees! Stay safe in SC, @lightrox! I'm north of Baltimore and the projections are showing it practically right over my house. Eek.
Stay safe ladies! I'm in MA so won't be hit badly afaik! @ACleanLife24 that's awesome, you're not crazy! I'm 16+2 and yesterday the midwife could tell from the Doppler sounds that there was "constant movement" from baby. She said I'd be able to feel it within a month so I bet that's what you're feeling. I'm soooo excited to feel it too!!!!! Gah!!!
Guess what? The BGs listened to my complaints about my warnings and reversed my second one. So I'm back down to one warning for a unicorn comment. Aaaand with that I'm off to sleep

Stay safe @cmerribury it should hopefully be a category 1 or tropical storm by the time it gets to you. Stay safe and hopefully it's just rain that we all get.
So I think I might have an "irritable uterus" going on. I've been having Braxton hicks for the past few weeks, but over the past week they've become more frequent and much more uncomfortable. I was even feeling a little bit of back pain last night and meant to ring the midwife today, but then my toddler decided to puke all over the place in the middle of the night, followed by diarrhea all day long and that distracted me.
I plan to call first thing tomorrow morning, but has anyone else experienced this? I had frequent BH starting pretty early with both girls, but this seems different somehow. But I was thinking that maybe BH ctx are like afterpains that get stronger with each pregnancy?
For now I'm lying in bed on my left side and drinking water. Thinking about having some ice cream...
I had it with DS2. It started right at 18 weeks. It was a mix between real ctx and fierce bh. The bh would be like a constant iron vice on my uterus. Ctx would start up if I just walked across the room. I did go to the hospital a few times with time able ctx but nothing peoductive. It's scary. But ds2 was overdue. I've started having bh this time and they suck. I'm always open for questions 9r just to commiserate

Woke up to pee. An hour ago. I have to get up early tomorrow to pack for our mini trip. And I don't want to be all exhausted on the drive. I don't really ha e constant morning sickness anymore, just occasional passing waves, but if I don't get enough sleep, I feel so sick the next day. Urghhh.

Gah I was up for the rest of the night almost, getting hungrier and hungrier. I drifted off for a few (long enough to have a nightmare) and then the 4yo climbed into bed with us - usually she's quiet, but last night she was all clumsy and loud. And then it was time to wake up. But yay for seeing my mama today!

WOOT WOOT!!! It's FINALLY Friday!!! And today I have a half day at work since I am in a wedding tomorrow and I am heloing set up this afternoon. Yay for short work days and slightly longer weekends!
On our way (an hour late but still) to my parents! @kynbar5 I was wondering why my app hadn't crashed yet. @mrspepper05 I totally agree with @PinkSunglasses16! We got an aftermarket automatic car starter and put it in our van. Best thing ever. Even in summer when it's so hot and you want to cool the car off - we got the Viper SmartStart, and we use an app on our phones.

@oceanchild have a great time! (Sorry there was a lot to catch up on I hope I didn't miss someone)
I kept waking up every few hours last night with nightmares. Kept dreaming that I was having miscarriages. I think I'm just really nervous about my appt this afternoon.
I am so bored at work... lol. The art teacher gave me some adult connect-the-dots artwork and these have on average 500 dots to connect! I should be preoccupied for awhile

Woke up with a sore throat, runny nose, and feeling so sore I think I must have been hit by a bus in my sleep. I need chicken soup and V8 fusion pronto. On the bright side, I don't work today or tomorrow so I get to sleep and lay down basically for 2 days. Hooray!
OMG OMG OMG YOU GUYS!!! We got to my parents' house, and I walk into the kitchen and my (only) baby brother (31) is here waiting in the kitchen! My mom and husband and inlaws (whom we had dinner with last night) and everyone knew but me. I've missed him *soooo* much and haven't seen him in almost 2 years! So excited! And prob won't be around much this weekend. Happy tears! Best surprise ever!!!
Hope everyone has a great one @2goofykids hope you feel better fast!

So, fun story time. When I was 14, my friend and I decided at a sleepover to sneak out her second story window to go meet some of our friends who lived nearby. Well, I fell out the window and bruised my tailvone, and all the doctors have said is that it probably will never completely be normal again. I aggravate it every couple months (because I'm clumsy and prone to falling over) and lately it feels like it's bruised again but I haven't even hurt it! Anyone else with tailbone pain going on? It really hurts to stand up after I've laid down or sat even for a short time.
Yes I do - it's a part of everything shifting around/hormone called relaxin. I can't imagine doing pregnancy on top of a tailbone injury. If you can, a chiropractor might help you out a ton - get your pelvis back to a good position.

@skruhmin I totally forgot about the chiropractor. I've never been, but I certainly might make an appointment. Darn hormones, moving everything around in there d: hope this baby is comfortable in there!
So relieved, doc appt went great! I was worried about the heartbeat but it came through the second the Doppler touched my tummy. A strong and healthy 152bpm. I don't know why I was so worried. Legit, cried from relief. bp was kind of low but not out of the norm for me. *sigh* finally starting to feel like I can start letting myself get attached to this little sticky gummy bear.
Edited because apparently I can't English. Oh and A/S scheduled for Nov 5th!!
AFM, OMG my nips are burning today! From what I read it may be the beginning of my milk coming in? And I was super leaky with DD, so I'm just waiting for the embarrassing wet t-shirt to arrive Better go stock up on nursing pads!
February Siggy Challenge- Post pregnancy indulgences
I have been sleeping horribly (as I do during pregnancy) so I try to just get as much sleep as possible... BUT as of the last week my 2 y/o has started having night terrors. She starts crying and won't wake up, no matter what my husband and I do. It usually lasts about 15 minutes, but happens multiple times a night, and the rest of the night she wil randomly let out a cry and then be fine...it literally keeps me awake all night! The lack of sleep is not only making me exhausted, but my headaches are SO much worse, and no matter what I do, they won't go away!
Wait, does that just happen all of a sudden then? Without any warning? where do you get nursing pads?
Shit someone experienced give me some amazon options for these pads... my nipples have been ridiculously pronounced and occasionally feeling like a stabbing burning pain

Wait, does that just happen all of a sudden then? Without any warning? where do you get nursing pads?
It can. You can get them at any store that sells baby supplies - I personally like Lansinoh. Or you can stock up on tons off of Amazon. DS1's pregnancy it started around 34 weeks for me - I just noticed my shirt was wet right where my nipples were - good thing I was just at home.

I didn't leak until after I gave birth and my milk came in. I totally recommend bamboobies for reusable nursing pads. They work very well and are soft and discreet.
Wait, does that just happen all of a sudden then? Without any warning? where do you get nursing pads?
It can (and does) lol. You buy nursing pads in the baby section by the breast pumps. Last time with DD I was leaking kinda early- luckily I was at home when it was pointed out to me...
My mother also suggested old wash rags. They aren't like maxis that you have to change every time you go to the bathroom, you can wear one pair all day. They also make silicone ones that collect your leaky milk so you aren't wasting your "liquid gold".
