Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: I'm excited to be part of this group and getting to know all of you! My husband and I got married in Vegas in July. I just turned 33 this past week, so it was a nice late birthday present for me, DH is 29.
Are you a first time mom? If not, what number? First time mom third pregnancy. We miscarried twice about three years ago. This was after many years of infertility with first husband and a couple years of marriage and no baby with second. We started clomid and got pregnant with first. We learned of no viable baby/blighted ovum a few days before Thanksgiving and finally miscarried on Christmas evening leading to an Emergency visit the next morning. Second one pregnant in March lost at 8 weeks miscarried in late May. The second miscarriage went much smoother with no emergency visit. We are cautiously excited about this one.
How long were you trying to conceive (TTC) Struggle with infertility and irregular periods since they began. We weren't actively trying but have never prevented. I do regularly chart on fertility friends but just my start and end days. When we BD (baby dance for newbies) I would check to see if it was during probable fertile window. I had basically given up most hope of becoming a mother but still held on to a small thread of maybe this month... I started Phentermine to loose weight and with the weight loss came a pregnancy. A little nervous since It is a drug that is not supposed to be taken if pregnant or TTC.
How did your tell your significant other (SO)? He woke up to shower and get ready for work. His alarm woke me up and I got a test last night since today was supposed to be AF (Aunt Flo) day. While he was in the shower I tested and it came up a light line. I asked if he saw a line and he said I think so but retest in a few days. I left it sitting on the window sill but the longer it sat the darker it got. I will probably get a digital and retest tomorrow morning.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: Married seven years on December 13th. We are the proud parents of three cats and two dogs and I know I have seen a lot of animal people here already! Happy and Health 9 month to everyone and let the ride begin! Wow I had diarrhea of the mouth! Sorry it's a long post

I could not find a big brother shirt anywhere today.., so here is how I will tell DH tonight... DS and I went to a pumpkin patch today so I will show DH the pumpkins we bought... A mommy pumpkin, daddy pumpkin, DS pumpkin and Of course the new addition!
He definitely thinks I'm KU. He called from work today to see if AF had arrived!! I am trying to make up from my last pregnancy. I told DH by calling him at work. He could not concentrate for the rest of the day!

Told BF by coming downstairs yesterday morning as he was making us coffee. I had the stick in my pocket. But he was mad at me for some ridiculous reason because we were going to get out for a run but he wasn't feeling well and apparently I wasn't sensitive to that haha. Anyways, in a huff I plopped the rest down and instantly he wasn't angry any more. He says it was the ultimate zinger.
Other info: I'm a pediatric RN at a major children's hospital, originally from WA but live in SoCal now. And I run a lot.

How did your tell your significant other (SO)? I had my DD walk into the kitchen wearing a "Big Sis" t-shirt and holding a pink and a blue balloon. The look on DH's face was priceless!
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: We have a DD who will be two in December who keeps us on our toes. I am an elementary school teacher (4th grade). I love performing, seeing theatre (we live right near NYC), jogging, and almost all things domestic. So thrilled to be here!

How did your tell your significant other (SO)? I took the pregnancy test to him and asked if he saw a line. He said he saw a faint one, he didn't really believe it until he saw the positive digital test.

How did your tell your significant other (SO)? I was hyperventilating in the bathroom while making him squint to see that faint line!
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: It was the strangest thing..I swear I knew we had conceived right away. I mean the same day I just knew it. Two days later I was so positive that I told my husband that I was pretty sure I was brewing his baby again. That day I felt a little pinch and really believe that is when implantation occurred. He thought I was absolutely crazy and there was part of me that began to think that maybe he was right! Turns out, I wasn't.
Has anyone else had a similar experience as far as knowing right away?

How did you tell your significant other (SO)? I had this really weird dream in the middle of the night that I was giving birth and woke myself up. Without even thinking, I got out of bed and took a pregnancy test. And then pretty effectively jumped on my sleeping husband to wake him up and tell him the news. He was happy about the baby, but not about the hour of the morning
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: I am crazy nervous coming into this pregnancy following a loss, but am so excited to have a second chance!
@writerchic12 twinsies!! With my first pregnancy I too had a weird pregnant dream! I dreamt that someone told me if you grit your teeth without thinking about it then you're pregnant. I woke up gritting my teeth and went to take a preg test.. BFP! Strangest thing ever!

Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: During our journey to conceive we were able to get pregnant pretty easily but unfortunately we suffered 3 early pregnancy losses. Only one of them was I able to hear the heart beat. I'm hoping that this one will be our rainbow baby.

Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: I have a 13 month son. During my last pregnancy I had preeclampsia and was hospitalized for 7 1/2 weeks and my son was delivered 6 weeks early. I'm nervous about having similar issues with this pregnancy.

How did your tell your significant other (SO)? My DH was very confident we would get pregnant right away. Me being the more caucautiously optimistic one thought it could take longer. He went out for a work appointment and I didn't tell him I was doing a test while he was out as I was still about 5- 6 days away from AF's arrival. When I got the positive test I wrote the message 'That didn't take long! We are pregnant ' on a sticky note and put it on his desk along with the test. When he got home he saw itit right away and came and have me the biggest longest hug.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: I am extremely excited and a little nervous. Looking forward to my pregnancy and seeing how everything unfolds over the next 9 months. Doesn't feel 100% real yet but looking forward to sharing the exciting news with our immediate family soon

How did your tell your significant other (SO)? We are in the process of moving so we are in two different states at the moment. I hinted towards a BIG secret. He called after work and I told him I ordered a Papa bear shirt for him and a Sister bear shirt for DD. It took a few seconds, but his reaction was priceless.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself. This is my first birth group I've ever been apart of. So this is all new. But being able to relate to so many of you here is SO cool.
Estimated Due Date (EDD): June 2nd...but I will probably be doing a C-section so not sure if it will still be June or end of May instead

How did your tell your significant other (SO)? I took the HPT in the morning after he was at work, got the "pregnant" proof so I went and made a card that said "ready for an adventure?!..." On the front and inside it said "one made it" with funny drawings of little swimmers with eyes on them.
He thought I was giving him football tickets originally, but then got excited and we both just started laughing

I'm in Washington state! And I'm a huge Seahawks fan...and I'm scared to have our 2nd because it's been so long since we went through everything with our first. I'm not sure if I'm ready...
@jackieluvsdaniel I am a mom to a September 2013 baby too :-) The S13 board was amazing through pregnancy and made some of my best, now IRL friends from it.

How long were you trying to conceive (TTC)? Well... we weren't actually trying we've been thinking about it for a little but we're going to wait a little while. Apparently life had other plans for us because one night of oops! And here we are. While extremely nervous to have 2 under 2 we are very excited.
How did your tell your significant other (SO)? I work in the OR so I took a test at work and when DH picked me up at work I told him. Worst part was my brother was here visiting from California and we don't want to tell anyone yet so we had to keep our mouths shut but I was so anxious the whole time.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: I'm a working mom, still BFing my DS in the morning and at night. I am really emotional about the prospect at having to give it up now with this pregnancy, esp since we weren't trying. I am excited to have another baby, I've always wanted at least 2 kids. I had terrible morning sickness with my first pregnancy so I'm really hoping to get lucky with this one and not be sick. I'll be having a repeat c/s (DS was big) so I'll probably deliver closer to end of May. I delivered DS at 38w3d so we'll see what happens!

Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: I'll be 40 in November so I'm nervous about the health of me and baby. I'll be having my 4th c/s so that's also a little concerning. I have 3 children (almost 12, 5, & an infant daughter who passed 6 years ago), and my stepdaughter is 8.
We were TTC for two months - got pregnant the 2nd month.
How I told my SO - called him after I took a test at work. I am a nurse in a doctor's office so I have tests readily available ☺️ This first test had a faint line but the next morning there was a BFP.

Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: I'm from Northern California, have a 3 year old black lab, am new to being a stay at home mom, am still BFing my son, and I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little terrified about the thought of welcoming another baby so soon after my first. Having two under two is going to be ... interesting (lol), and also exciting, of course.

Awwww! No fears mama. My 4 and 5 year old are 16 months apart and it is perfect. Truly. They play nonstop, are into the same stuff developmentally, and were even at the same preschool until she started kindergarten this year. I'm so happy I had my 2u2.
@VikingGirl12 After reading your post, I totally kept waking myself up last night because I was grinding my teeth. I have never heard this theory of pregnancy before, but it is clearly a thing

Anything else you want to tell us about yourself. This is my first birth group I've ever been apart of. So this is all new. But being able to relate to so many of you here is SO cool.

Nope! I have an almost 6 year old son!
How long were you trying to conceive (TTC)?
We talked about it one day TTC happened that night, then we both said maybe we wait a bit to get through upcoming plans, but the universe decided it was time.
How did your tell your significant other (SO)?
I took the HPT in the morning after he was at work, got the "pregnant" proof so I went and made a card that said "ready for an adventure?!..." On the front and inside it said "one made it" with funny drawings of little swimmers with eyes on them.
He thought I was giving him football tickets originally, but then got excited and we both just started laughing

I'm in Washington state! And I'm a huge Seahawks fan...and I'm scared to have our 2nd because it's been so long since we went through everything with our first. I'm not sure if I'm ready...

How long were you trying to conceive (TTC)?
Well... we weren't actually trying we've been thinking about it for a little but we're going to wait a little while. Apparently life had other plans for us because one night of oops! And here we are. While extremely nervous to have 2 under 2 we are very excited.
How did your tell your significant other (SO)? I work in the OR so I took a test at work and when DH picked me up at work I told him. Worst part was my brother was here visiting from California and we don't want to tell anyone yet so we had to keep our mouths shut but I was so anxious the whole time.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: I'm a working mom, still BFing my DS in the morning and at night. I am really emotional about the prospect at having to give it up now with this pregnancy, esp since we weren't trying. I am excited to have another baby, I've always wanted at least 2 kids. I had terrible morning sickness with my first pregnancy so I'm really hoping to get lucky with this one and not be sick.
I'll be having a repeat c/s (DS was big) so I'll probably deliver closer to end of May. I delivered DS at 38w3d so we'll see what happens!

How did your tell your significant other (SO)? I bough him a card that said "sweet pea" on the front, and on the inside I wrote "In June 2016 were adding a pea to our pod!" He loved it.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: I'll be 40 in November so I'm nervous about the health of me and baby. I'll be having my 4th c/s so that's also a little concerning. I have 3 children (almost 12, 5, & an infant daughter who passed 6 years ago), and my stepdaughter is 8.

We were TTC for two months - got pregnant the 2nd month.
How I told my SO - called him after I took a test at work. I am a nurse in a doctor's office so I have tests readily available ☺️ This first test had a faint line but the next morning there was a BFP.

We talked about all my symptoms and decided I should take a pregnancy test so I took one and handed it off for him to watch... I walked into the room and saw his half grin and knew lol

I've been on the bump since baby #1 but never really took part, kind of just watched the posts. Also, I just went back to school for surgical technology, so this pregnancy wasn't planned but I'm taking it as a blessing!
