Not as excited. This is a June board.
People that are due very late in the month tend to straddle two BMBs - especially first time moms - because a) the people on the earlier board (May in this instance) are so far ahead of them and they can relate to the symptoms/timeline of the latter board more and b) people tend to go later than their EDD. I'm a May 31. I will be here as well as May, especially until I get a date scan from my doctor. It's not that big of a deal.

THANK YOU! I don't really see what the big deal is either. I'm may 31st as well which might as well be June considering it's only one day off. It's not like I'm rocking a may 1st due date and creeping on the June board.
I don't think it's a big deal. Sorry if that came across wrong. I had a 9/27 due date with my first kiddo, and stayed in September. Maybe it's just my literal engineering self. I am always told I am way too literal! @rent6 and @benicode
Estimated Due Date (EDD): May 30 but I'm hoping the doc will actually say June since I have a DD who's birthday is May 29. And I decided to jump on this board since I am way behind everyone on the May board.
Are you a first time mom? If not, what number? This will be Baby #2! My DD is 16 months old.
How long were you trying to conceive (TTC)? Got a BFP early July and then had an early miscarriage so we had to wait until Sept to try but it took on our first try so I'm praying that this one goes well.
How did your tell your significant other (SO)? He asked when I was going to take a test and I just kind of looked at him guilty because I couldn't help it and had already taken one. The line was so faint so I wanted to take another one the next day before telling him but then I had to tell him right there on the spot.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: I was a lurker on the boards with DD and then I never ended up jumping in and participating so I wanted to get on right away and introduce myself.

Estimated Due Date (EDD): I havent been given one by a doctor yet, but the online calculators tell me June 7th, but i have a short cycle, so the ones that allow me to change the cycle length, im getting more like June 4th/5th.
Are you a first time mom? If not, what number? Yes! Baby number one!
How long were you trying to conceive (TTC)? My husband had colon cancer so we ended up needing to an IUI with sperm we banked before chemotherapy. We got pregnant on ONE round of IUI! after some crazy things happened having us put off the first round a few times. (not by our own choice, folices didnt get big enough, bank vile was bad, etc.)
How did your tell your significant other (SO)? I put a sign inside the oven that said "theres a bun in the oven!'' he loved it.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: I suffer from Fibromyaglia and am interested to see how this effects pregnancy. I have heard everything from its better to its much worse. I have had to juggle making tough decisions on medications and am only 3 weeks and 5 days, yet im already feeling pretty bad. So i am hoping after the first trimester this might get easier!

How did your tell your significant other (SO)? I told him I took a test but the line was faint then I took a FRER test and it came out positive. He was in shock and went out and bought an EPT to be sure and that came out positive. I think we are both still in shock. We were absolutely trying and are so happy we got a positive.

Congrats! My EDD is June 2 and I was excited that our BFP didn't take too long to come either, because I'm 31!
Estimated Due Date (EDD): May 31st. Glad to see I'm not the only one planning to float between both boards!
Are you a first time mom? If not, what number? This will be my second kid, and my second son.
How long were you trying to conceive (TTC)? Over a year, through four losses, many trips to the RE, and doing IVF, PGS, and an FET.
How did your tell your significant other (SO)? Heh. Basically just asked him to look at a very squinty positive test and help me decide if it was actually positive... then at each of the next successive days' tests as we determined that, yes, they WERE getting darker.

This.
Maybe if it were IVF they got to chose the chromosome? I have heard of that before? Just brainstorming... :-)
Yup, I know, 100% sure, I'm having a boy. Probably the smallest benefit of having to go through IVF, but I'll take what I can get, heh. Due to recurrent losses, the doc recommended we do genetic screening on the embryos to make sure they were viable before we transferred them in. As part of the genetic screening, they count all the chromosomes -- including the sex chromosomes. So we know the blastocyst the doc put in had XY and not XX (no XXs to choose from in the batch we were transferring from), because the screening lab counted one X and one Y chromosome.
It's weird knowing; we were Team Green the whole way last time!

Are you a first time mom? If not, what number? First time mom
How long were you trying to conceive (TTC)? I started trying in July.
How did your tell your significant other (SO)? I have chosen to be a single mom, so instead of a SO, I got to tell my parents. I wanted to do something special, but they live live 3 hours away. I'm going to go visit them next weekend and take them out to dinner. I'm going to get some fun grandparent gifts to give them as well. For now, I just called and told them
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself. It was very scary to make the decision to have a baby alone. But I didn't want time to to go by and reach an age were it's too late and think to myself man I wish I had done it. My parents have been super supportive and have been amazing.
Are you a first time mom? If not, what number? Nope! My DD is turning two next month (*sob*).
How long were you trying to conceive (TTC)? We were blessed after just a month. I had an IUD removed in August, and we planned on conception this time taking as long as it did for our first (11 months).
How did your tell your significant other (SO)? I walked out with the BFP while he was doing yard work on a ladder. Because I'm evil like that.
Hi everyone! I was so hoping I would be here, and here I am with all of you!
Estimated Due Date (EDD): June 5th
Are you a first time mom? If not, what number? I have a very active 18 month old and I'm excited to be able to have him be close in age to his little brother or sister!
How long were you trying to conceive (TTC)? 3 months
How did your tell your significant other (SO)? I had bought a whole bunch of inexpensive tests off of amazon because I'm apparently a testing fiend. I tested on Sunday and at first it came up negative. I disappointedly googled reviews and came across one that said to wait the whole five minutes because it takes a while for the second line to show up. I looked over after reading and, to my surprise, it was positive! My whole body was shaking and I ran upstairs to ask my husband when he wanted to tell our son. He had no clue what I was talking about. I said, "to tell him he's going to be a big brother!" I wish I could have recorded the look on his face!

I can't begin to describe how insanely happy I am to be joining you all here!!!
Estimated Due Date (EDD): June 6th, 2016
Are you a first time mom? If not, what number? First time mom!! Eeek!
How long were you trying to conceive (TTC)? 6 Months
How did your tell your significant other (SO)? I was in disbelief at the test results....I had gotten faint lines at 9dpo and told my husband by asking him if he "thought this meant something". Lol....as the days have gone by, the lines have gotten darker and now obviously positive. I wish I'd have been able to control my excitement and lack of knowledge long enough to figure it out and surprise him in some interesting and sweet way. But, such is life, we are both ecstatic!
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: My husband and I are both nurses and got married in March!
Estimated Due Date (EDD): May 30th. I started posting on the May board and will probably jump back and forth but right now I feel way behind most of them since I am only about 4weeks+1day.
Are you a first time mom? If not, what number? Yep, first time mom!
How long were you trying to conceive (TTC)? 5 months with one chemical pregnancy
How did your tell your significant other (SO)? My husband is in grad school at night and I took a test completely on a gut feeling because we weren't trying this month and it was positive! I texted him a picture with the message 'SURPRISE!' because there was no way I could wait three hours without telling anyone. He went outside class and called me immediately.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: Due to my chemical last month I am really nervous about the viability of this pregnancy. I just went in for my first hcg test this morning and will go again thursday. Hopefully the numbers look good!
I'm sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy. That is one worry of mine...I'm so scared to do anything, I've already got my heart and mind set on being pregnant. But!....going to speak LIFE over this baby! FX for you as well! So glad to have you all to share all of this with as well.
Estimated Due Date (EDD): June 3, 2016. I had a c-section with DD, so I'll probably have this baby late May. Are you a first time mom? If not, what number? This will be #2, DD was born 11/28/12
How long were you trying to conceive (TTC)? We weren't. We tried for one month in 2014, but ending up deciding to wait. I just started a new job three months ago and plan on going back to school to get my Master's. We are nervous because there are a lot of factors that make this not the best time, but we are excited to give our daughter a sibling. How did your tell your significant other (SO)? I was a few days late, so I took a test and came out of the bathroom and asked him to come look.
Are you a first time mom? If not, what number? First time!
How long were you trying to conceive (TTC)? This was our first month trying!
How did your tell your significant other (SO)? I wanted to plan something really fun to give him the news, but when I took the test earlier than planned and a second line started to appear, I was in shock (we were anticipating this process to be much longer), so I had him look at it to confirm I really did see two lines!
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: I'm so excited to share the excitement with you all! I'm also incredibly lucky to have 7 good friends that are all either currently pregnant or have a baby under 1 right now, so I have a really great support system around me!
Are you a first time mom? If not, what number? This will be #3
How long were you trying to conceive (TTC)? We weren't. DH had an oops. He's in charge of putting on the condoms... -.-
How did your tell your significant other (SO)? I came out of the bedroom to our loft/walkway and yelled for him. Then I chucked it down at him and said congrats.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself: I'm a birth doula, Advanced Babywearing Educator, and RN. I had GD with my first, didn't with my 2nd, and hoping for no GD this time and a homebirth. We'll see what happens
