The weight gain has finally begun for me... I'm about 3lbs up at 15 & 4!
I never gain weight this quickly so this is actually kind of cool to see--like proof that the baby is working its magic on making me the best baby home possible. At least for now.
I'm 14 weeks and lost a pound, no morning sickness. I'm waiting for my baby bump too! So far I don't have anything showing. Hopefully the bump is coming soon!
Fifteen weeks today and up two lbs. But I lost three lbs by my first appointment. So it feels good except it means I've put on five pounds in four weeks :-S
16 weeks and have gained 5 pounds. Thinking that this has less to do with baby and more to do with the caramel corn I have been binge eating. Happy to finally have a bump showing
15 weeks and I've gained 3 pounds. I'm still below my pre-pregnancy weight since I lost 5 at the very beginning. But boy do I have a bump! I feel huge these days. I think part of that is because my stomache muscles have completely given up on me so it's all just hanging out lol.
I wanna cry I checked my weight and I've gained 10 pounds at 17 weeks. If I keep going like this I'm looking at 25 pounds. I am freaking only because I don't want to gain too much but I am hungry all. The. Time. I try to get out for walks and things but it's nowhere near what I used to do...

Got weighed at my doctors appointment. I'm up 3 at 16 weeks. Which is the same as my last pregnancy. Last time I gained an additional 7 pounds between the 16 and 20 week appointment. Which will probably happen again because I just want to eat ALL OF THE FOOD!

I hear you, mama. Technically I've only gained 4 lbs so far at 14 weeks, but I had gained 7 lbs before getting pregnant, so essentially I'm up 10lbs from my normal pre-pregnancy weight, and I'm already feeling the weight gain in my thighs. I'd be THRILLED to gain 25 lbs, right now I'm just hoping that I'll be able to keep it to 30ish. Still, I will most likely weigh the most I have ever weighed when I give birth to this little one. And I don't generally lose the baby weight quickly, despite working my tail off attempting to do so. Now with 3 littles and student teaching, I doubt I'll be able to do that!
@charley15 I empathize with you about being hungry all the time. I've followed every piece of advice- eat protein, eat small meals frequently, drink water, load up on veggies- no matter what I'm constantly painfully starving! Hopefully this tapers off eventually...?
I'm feeling much better this morning. Once I put things into perspective, 25 pounds isn't too bad. If I gained 10 by 17 weeks, I will probably have gained 20 by 34 weeks, and the extra 6 gain 5 pounds. It sounds about right.

I'm at 15w+2 now and I've gained 12 pounds. Half of the weight I'm supposed to gain the entire pregnancy, all in first trimester. And I gain a lot at the end usually. I feel stressed over it. But the only thing I want to eat is carbs. So many bagels! Urggh

I'm 17 weeks 4 days and I haven't gained any weight at all yet. With 2 my last 2 children I had I lost weight and my 1st gained a lot so it varies with pregnancy and person. My doctor recommended for me up to 20 because I'm already overweight. Just keep eating healthy foods and stay active (unless told not).
I haven't gained anything yet (17 weeks) but I don't typically start gaining until after 20 weeks, when baby starts putting on some weight and getting bigger. That's how my other 2 grew as well. Everyone is different though. We all have different body types, genes, diets, and exercise routines so we shouldn't expect to all be the same.
Stomach bug hit us this week and I'm down 2 lbs, but I'm sure it'll be back immediately as soon as my stomach calms down. I'm really craving Thai food for some reason, but I know it's a trap!
I read a few hyperemsis gravidarum blogs last night and it really put things in perspective and made me extremely grateful for every pound I can gain. I would rather gain 80 lbs in pregnancy than have to go through what those poor women endure.
I am 15w5days and I've already gained 14lbs. Honestly the food just sticks to me. Also I recently found out that I am hypoglycemic so I was ordered to eat every 2 hours. I have maintained I think because I've started to really watch myself and what I eat/how much I eat. It's super stressful because I feel like a miniature whale. But I think with eating better and walking every night like I have been will help
@BrooksMommy33 I have the same problem with hypoglycemia during pregnancy. I'm somewhat sensitive to my blood sugar getting low normally, but during pregnancy it's so hard to control. I have to totally change the way I eat, especially in the mornings. I normally love carbs for breakfast, cereal & bagels are my go-to but during pregnancy I have to have eggs so that my blood sugar doesn't spike then plummet. Ugh, I hate eggs for breakfast, especially without toast or potatoes. Anyway, I feel your pain. I also gain weight easily and quickly at the beginning due to morning sickness and whatnot, but I don't let it bother me too much because I know I can get it more under control in the 2nd half of pregnancy when I'm feeling better!
I've gained 10-12 at 16 weeks & was already 20+ up over the last couple of years due to my desk job plus activity level falling into the almost - nothing category. The first trimester had me in bed with serious exhaustion but I had no MS so that packed them on fast. I went through three bags of Wavy Lay's with pineapple cream cheese in three days. Let's just say my self control isn't anything to brag about. My mother worked on the cardiac floor at our Trauma 1 for 10 years & has a serious fat-phobia. I get lectured regularly. I wish it helped.
@kitteh81 I can honestly say h.g. sucks bad. It is the reason dh and I decided that even if we lost this pregnancy, we will never get pregnant again. Having dealt with it for both pregnancies, I honestly can say that if I knew I would have it this time, I would probably have looked into an alternative way of having a baby (I.e. adoption or something). Dh is getting fixed simply because I cannot handle going through it again. On the plus side, babies are fine, have regained 5 of the pounds I lost so far, doctor says not to worry about excersizing but that I should walk whenever I feel well enough. Off meds now, so I am getting sick a couple times a day, but still feel it is fair trade. I still felt sick while on meds, but found that the last 2 weeks I had stopped vomiting. But I hate drugging me and the baby and am still gaining as the doctor wants, so I feel that going off is the right choice. At 15 weeks now and I'm still hoping I'll get to the "I am so hungry" stage
Had my doctor visit today and I'm 19 weeks today. At 17 weeks when went hadn't gained any. Today I had gained 4 pounds. My doctor wasn't too pleased that I gained that much in 2 weeks. Because of being overweight and having high blood pressure she only wanted me gaining 8-11lbs during pregnancy. Which seems unrealistic. Im also on complete bed rest through pregnancy so exercise not an option. I'm hungry and going to eat.

@msd24 I sure hope so lol
