For those of you that did babies r us registry did you get your egift card yet?? It says emailed approx 12 weeks after due date and were about 14 weeks after due date
I got mine exactly two months after my due date. Due on June 26th, received it on August 26th. Hope you get yours soon!
You all are making me wonder if I should make some sleeping arrangement changes. LO and I are actually sharing a room, 1/2 relaxing master, 1/2 nice baby nursery. Its exactly my style, I love it and feel like its our shared private retreat. Both my babies have reversed cycled and we nurse a lot a night rather and very little during the day. I'm afraid that if we separated I'd feel like I never get to see him but at the same time I'm jealous of these great sleep successes. Not sure what I want to do.

I was just wondering and talking to DH about this tonight... Maybe they wait so long in case we forget (as I almost did) And we have to call and be like "hey, where's my money"
@cait7425, @Sjeff0816 - went great! He slept from 815p-5am, his longest stretch ever!!! I was glued to the monitor for a bit too... I also agree that it probably helps that we can't hear him sucking his thumb etc bc we would usually figure he was starving and get him up to feed after awhile (literally this guy sucked his thumb for almost an hour yesterday am before getting up. I couldn't sleep bc I kept thinking he would be up any minute). We don't give our LOs enough credit! His little arms were pretty cold, it got chilly in our house overnight. Will have to go for long sleeves for sure.

Sounds like it's working for you, and it's only in comparison to others that you're doubting it. Unless more sleep becomes a higher priority for you, why change if it's something you love?
I'm also not getting much sleep, and while I'm a little jealous of those STTN, I always have to remind myself that our arrangement is working for me. When it stops working for me, I will look more closely at what others are doing.

I think it'd be totally different if LO was reverse cycling. Within a few months, they will probably stop so enjoy your time with them now.
@caitlincunn what is this bru gift card you speak of? We did a registry with them, but no one said anything about a gift card. We got 10% off any items left and points towards the rewards program.

LO has been in her own room for a while but we're trying to transition to the crib and it's not working. Seems like every other baby loves the crib, but I say don't make any changes if what you're doing works for you!
Some days I absolutely hate d/h job. Today is one of those days. Our first born (13 y/o cat) crossed the rainbow bridge. D/H had to leave for meetings this morning and won't be back until tomorrow night and leaves again Thursday morning. We noticed our cat, Popeye, was getting sick about 2 weeks before l/o arrived. Today, as in watching my cat fight to breathe (vet couldn't get him in immediately) my l/o was starving and screaming, and the dog got sick in the middle of the living room. Unfortunately I had to take l/o to the vet with me b/c we don't have anyone in our new area to watch her during the day. Thank goodness she won't remember anything. I just want a beer...
@alcrimmins sending lots of love and hugs your way. I'm crying in sympathy for the loss of your Popeye. Its so hard to lose them. I have no words, but I've been there and know how much it hurts. Tip one back, girl.
Thank you for the kind words ladies. As heartbroken as I am, I'm grateful to still have a healthy husband, baby, dog, & another cat. We had 13 great years with him.
Cheers to health, happiness, fur babies, and mini-me's!
LO is almost 18 weeks, so I think we are in it. It isn't that awful yet. He has had maybe two or three screaming fits in the past two weeks, and usually it is when he wakes up from a long nap and his bottle isn't warmed yet. He's been inconsistent with sleep, but nothing that terrible...some nights we get a 7 hour stretch, others its 4. He's definitely been more clingy for me, but I love that lol.
Today hasn't been a great day.. She's 15 weeks today and she has been so fussy, won't sleep which is making her cry a lot, not even boobies are helping she doesn't want to eat much, started about 3 days ago but today is the worst... Does that seem like a leap? I hope she isn't getting sick

Lo has been up since 8:15 am with one 50 min nap! I'm exhausted and she is too.. Trying to get her to eat before bed but it's not looking like she'll last very long
I'm nowhere near Catholic faith, but Yay, the Pope. I love the Pope. He's awesome.
Mixed feelings about this.
On one hand, cutest man ever.
On the other, we need to hurry to get the rest of our things out of our philly apartment before he goes to Philadelphia this weekend and they close all roads going into the city (our leas is almost up). I don't like being rushed, Mr. Pope
I think my mirena is making my armpit hair darker.
That made me literally lol. Do you really think so? So weird.
Ha ha yes! It's always been light and slow to grow and now I am always shaving. It could be some natural postpartum hormone thing but it never happened before.
The Chinese president is here and our highways have been closed on and off for the last two days. Impossible to go anywhere.
When I was living in NYC the president came to do something on the street I worked on (what, I have no idea. I didn't think anything there was presidential visit worthy). We had secret service everywhere, and they warned us there would be a time period when there would be absolutely no people of any kind allowed on the street, at all. At that time I had a really tight transit schedule because I took the subway to a ferry, and if I missed the 535 ferry I had to wait until 650 for the next one. I asked to leave 15 minutes early so I could avoid the potential of being stuck, and found out the next day they did end up shutting the street down for 45 minutes about 10 min after I left. I would've missed my ferry, and even worse, been stuck in my work. :-&
^^ how do you strap your newborn into an umbrella stroller? Or maybe I'm the only one who's walks consists of downhills and some rocky bumps? Lol @Sjeff0816 when they start sitting up on their own you can safely put them sitting in the stroller. On a side note I love my keyfit 30 stroller and carseat, so light weight and easy vs other travel systems (like the one I used with Dd) :-bd
Have any of you started using the stroller without the car seat? Or an umbrella stroller?
Everything I've read has said about 6 months. My mom would put my almost 11 week old in an umbrella stroller tomorrow if I let her. But now I have to stress about picking out an umbrella stroller. I have a britax b agile. Do I need a light weight stroller?

2nd round exp 8/20/18.
I know it's coming soon (we are at 16 weeks). I'm so very afraid!

Sounds like leap 4 to me!
