I'm doing accessibility testing for our software at work. I'm running it through a screen reader and holy crap I could not be a blind person! Way too much ADD going on here. Major props for the sensory awesomeness blind people use.

In case anyone is interested, midwife called back (I love her, she's so nice) aaaaaand it turns out I have to take antibiotics for BV. Booooo. Apparently it's very common in pregnancy but I still feel like I just got told I have an STD. Sorry if that was tmi.
I also have "White Coat Syndrome" (lol love the clever name) when it comes to taking blood pressure at the beginning of my appointments. My doc always requests it is taken a second time before I leave and it has always gone from high to normal. I don't know why I am so nervous when I walk in the door!
@ecwk thanks and ya know I post him for both of our enjoyment haha and thank you. Sorry about your news but at least baby is still healthy that thought is what keeps me going!

Thanks @kynbar5 and @bntfroggie. You're right, it's not a big deal, very common and only a week on antibiotics. My pap came back normal and afaik everything is a ok with my babe
Apparently the automatic cuff they used on me last week was malfunctioning, bc my first reading was 155/98 and the girl was like WHOA, MA’AM! I panicked for a second (I had hypertension issues with my first pregnancy), but asked her if they had an old fashioned sphygmomanometer - she went and found one my BP was actually low. She was all “I was wondering why everyone's readings seemed so high all day today” good grief. Apparently mine was the most abnormal, but still. Stinks that nobody had an accurate reading that day.

@ecwk sorry to hear youR results. I had BV with my first. It's good they caught it, it'll clear up and is totally normal with the changing of PH and stuff. Yep talking about that super biological "stuff."

Thank you!! Did you take antibiotics for it? I'm glad that's what's wrong and not anything more serious and after reading about possible symptoms, yikes, I'm glad I'm symptom free!!! #:-S
I am probably just being paranoid but just wondering would you call your doctor about painful cramps? I have had some off and on through out this PG but the past two days they have been pretty constant and a lot more painful. No bleeding. I go on monday anyway so I will probably just wait but its freaking me out a bit since they usually come and go and are a lot more mild.
Happy birthday labacker and high fives for healthy babes!
I'm sitting here waiting to see the dr and I'm antsy. I've had a weird feeling all week and no fishy or popcorn feelings... Just want to hear the heartbeat so I can relax a smidge.

I did take antibiotics. And my dr caught it at my first or second appt, so I was symptom free too.

I had cramping throughout my DS2's pregnancy and the entire time with this one. I've heard a lot of people talking about cramping a ton with subsequent pregnancies. Painful cramps can also be a sign of a UTI - how's your back feeling? Definitely do not hesitate to call.

Hope you don't think I meant to suggest you had symptoms!!! I was just doing research and relieved I haven't experienced it. Thanks so much for replying because it's good to know it's not exactly a rare occurrence!

My lower back has been hurting the past week or so but I had lower back pain in early pregnancy the whole time with DS so not sure that would mean anything? I will probably just call to make myself feel better.
So my daughter's kindergarten teacher can't have kids and just got notified a few weeks ago that they were picked as an adoptive family. The birth mom went into labor last night, the teacher got to be in the delivery room, feed the baby a bottle, etc. She wasn't at school today because they were going to bring the baby home. When I just went to pick up DD, though, the aide told me that the birth mom decided to keep the baby. So so heartbreaking for DD's teacher. (
It was a good reminder to me that even though I'm miserable most of the time, there's no doubt that I'll get to take my baby home from the hospital with me.

After reading all of your posts, when it comes time to buy our next bed I am demanding a king! My husband is a furnace at night and I get soooo hot in our queen, I wake up all sweaty. Keep in mind this doesn't happen when I sleep alone (reason enough to pass the blame ).
After this mornings commute home I am defiantly grabbing some emesis bags from work to keep in my car, purse, etc. While leaving work today I felt the need to get sick, but I was going down a narrow hill with nowhere to pull over and nothing to vomit into. I made do with what I had, and puked, while driving, into an empty Bunch a-Crunch box left over from when DH and I went to movie last weekend. Out of the handful of times I've vomited this pregnancy only one time did I make it to a toilet. My MS loves playing games with me!

Can I just say I'm loving all the bump pics?! Too cute! I think I like them even more because everyone seems to have no problem keeping their pants up and shirts down. Lol. This is just my opinion and I'm not trying to start an argument. Honestly I don't mind seeing belly it's just when the boobs, butt and vagina get involved that I'm like, damn, if I wanted to see all that I'd go stand in front of a mirror! Haha

I am shocked by how many people do the genetic testing/find out the baby's sex so early. I don't know a single person IRL who found out their baby's sex before 18 weeks. Or if they did, they kept it a secret until then. Does insurance cover that kind of thing?
I got mine done only because I'm 35 and my doctor recommended it since I'm older and we had a miscarriage last year. My insurance covered mine since I'm 35. I would never have paid for it out of pocket if there wasn't a family history for something I never had any testing done with my sons but I was in my twenties then. Finding out the sex was just a bonus I was just happy to hear that I was low risk on everything made me feel like a spring chicken especially since my OB likes to call me adavanced maternal age like I'm 70 or something.

I didn't do it with my first, although my insurance didn't cover it. Wasn't planning on doing it this time, but our insurance covered it completely, so we opted to do it this time.
I can't even imagine the heartbreak for your DD's teacher. And after holding my babies right after delivery I can't imagine giving them up.
I thought the same thing. As much as I want DD's teacher to have that baby, I also can't imagine giving up my baby. Giving your baby up for adoption truly is a sacrificial act!

@mrspepper05 my parents minister and his wife take in infants for a waiting period between their birth and when the adoptive family pucks them up. Usually about 6wks so that if the birth mom changes her mind then the adoptive family doesn't even know their was a child ready for them. I can't imagine her pain, but why wouldn't more agencies have this policy in place. So sad.

I didn't with my first and I'm waiting until my next u/s. I figure why put me and baby through more crap than we need? I know it's just blood but we need some kind of break!
