DH and I spent all weekend painting her furniture. Once everything is dry and her bedding is set up, I'll post a pic we also ordered her Hamper, mobile and bookshelf. Can't wait for everything to get here this week. Still a long way to go, but we are getting there!
@makeoutside7 : Would you mind sharing the paint color? We've been looking for a good gray to pair with some more vibrant accent colors (bright green rug, orange and blue fox decorations) and I like yours.

Great theme!!! I just got the movie spirited away and it's a pretty good movie... Never thought it could be used as part of a nursery before! It looks super good!!! Love it!!
Did anyone hang something above the glider? I was thinking maybe some paper lanterns and fabric Pom poms for her to look up at while we are rocking. But I'd love to know some other ideas.

That's exactly what we're doing, except with tissue paper pom poms. I started making the pom poms, & I'll be finishing them today once I receive the tissue paper I ordered.
We have a pretty small nursery but I think what we've done with it works. We have a crib and daybed in there; daybed because my mom will be coming up to help take care of the baby from time to time.
@violetigerlily, the wall paint color is called timber wolf by behr available at Home Depot. It's also really pretty in person!
@grapesoda1111, I got my crib on Amazon for under $110! It's called the Union 4-in-1 Convertible Crib in Lagoon. It looks light blue on the computer screen but in person it is the color of a robin's egg. I will say that it stands low but I am petite (4'11) so the height does not bother me.
@oorl11052015, Thank you! My husband and I love anime! We went as Ponyo and Sosuke for Halloween last year. Check out their other movies...they are all special and really good. The only drawback is that I have had to special order everything off of Etsy or overseas...and it has been expensive.
No real "theme" but our color scheme is gold and shades of pink/coral. We get the crib on Friday, but the bedding set from Caden Lane won't arrive until mid-September. I love the fabric swatches, though! We also ordered a gold faux-leather pouf ottoman from Land of Nod, which we should get some time next month. Those tissue paper pom poms next to the glider will be hung from the ceiling above the glider once they're all finished.
@Penn2walk, our baby is also sleeping with us. Our house is a craftsman bungalow, the entire top floor is a lofty office/playroom and huge master bedroom. She is too little to be sleeping alone on a different floor where the two other bedrooms are. I love that her crib is just 10 ft away from where I sleep.

We are going unisex and colorful with white walls(we don't know the gender) just wanted it to be not so babyish. Getting sooo excited!finally put the crib together last night:)
I'm just living vicariously through all of you, now that we just packed up our little girl's room, since we found our we're moving to a different state when I'm 36 weeks. I'll attach a picture of the start of hers, before we took it all down. I had hanging white tissue Pom poms and am still planning to get a coral and gold tissue garland for behind her crib to give it color.

Your dog cracks me up because mine does the same thing! I bought a cute round rug for the nursery and the second I unrolled it, he laid down on it claiming it as his. The look on his face when I rolled it up and stuck it in the closet while we were working in the room was like "Wait what? Where do you think you're putting that??"
Kijiji! Searched for weeks and finally found the perfect one! Just some random guy cleaning out his garage. Used websites are a great and affordable resource if you're looking for things a little less "cookie cutter":)
Our Labor Day weekend project was repainting a night table and making some satin Pom poms (total PITA)! I'm so excited to see the room coming together!!

We ordered two Hemnes dressers from Ikea and the drawer pulls were both black. I'm considering switching them out for inexpensive wooden ones that I can paint.

@Motomama67 for the wood wall we actually had it painted! It was our baby gift from a guy who owns a painting company! My husband didn't want to attempt doing actual wood! But it looks very real and everyone loves it!

@CarrieOct15 and @VexedMommy we switched out all of our knobs on the furniture to match. Home Depot has lots of different knobs that are affordable. Knobs totally change the look of furniture and can make something go from cheap looking to looking like something from PB Kids!
