Yay, I finally get to participate! The bottom cabinets are missing the doors since they are being repainted but couldn't resist sharing a pic. Im so psyched about this room. me and my brothers never had a nursery and my mom actually cried helping us put this one together. I'm so happy I am able to provide this for my son. Just waiting on him now. (And a lamp)
My nursery is almost done. I am just waiting on the rocking chair, which was suppose to be here last month and keeps getting the delivery date pushed back!!! So frustrating!!!
So many good ideas in this thread and so many beautiful nurseries! I finally get to participate. We moved in June had had to get the downstairs furnished before moving on to the nursery but made some great progress last weekend. Everything is pretty much done except wall decore, curtains, and the crib (DS is 2 and is in a big boy bed but pedi recommended waiting until baby gets here to put the crib back up).
I was appalled at how long they said it would take our glider. We ordered 9/5 and were told 6-8 weeks, now it's not coming until Christmas.
I ordered mine July 4th, they had a 30% off sale... It originally was going to be here no later than sept 15th, then mid oct, then no later than nov 6th. Now they are saying its shipped but will take 3-4 weeks to get to the ware house for delivery...so we're looking at early dec now. I am about to go postal on PBKs.... Smh
I did a coastal theme, beachy but not nautical. Something she can grow into and not too "baby-ish". Will have to move some of the decor up onto shelves as she gets older but for now I think it's pretty cute.
Finally completed the nursery. Just in the nick of time. I'm in early labor and having quite a few contractions. So glad to have it done before she gets here.
ETA: The closet and SD's side of the room are a little too messy for pics.
If there's something strange underneath the hood. Who you gonna call? Your Doctor. If there's something weird and it don't look good. Who you gonna call? Your Doctor. Immediately. If it's new, painful, and possibly pregnancy related get your ass off the internet and call your doctor. It's for your health and your child's.

Like I said earlier, we don't have a spare bedroom at the moment, so we're sharing ours. This is our LO's corner of the world... My aunt made the gorgeous quilt on the back of the crib!
I guess I can finally post our forest themed nursery. I've loved looking at and getting inspiration from everyone's nurseries! My husband actually picked out a lot and is really excited about the "grass" shag rug carpet. I was a littl worried it would look too drab with the gray, but I think we were able to mix in enough bright colors to make it all work. Now we just need our little guy to arrive to finish it.
(Note: we'll take down the banner on the crib before we use it, it was left over from the shower and looks adorable but I'm thinking it could be a strangling hazard)
@violetigerlily I love the "grass" rug, was looking for something similar for my Peter rabbit themed nursery ( we have a big painted tree on the wall) but today finally just settled on one that was the appropriate colors because it was inexpensive.
I still have one more DIY deal that we need to hang on the crib wall... Otherwise, done Hall-e-lujah!!
Biggest challenges in this room would be the wall paper removal and repainting of EVERYTHING. Wow, that was lot of work. Also, renovated the dresser. Picked it up on Craigslist and it looks nothing like when we first bought it. Added, legs, hardware, rustic wood plank top, and painted.
@kdsmith43 wow that is just beautiful! I love the colors!!! I love the ladder type rack in the corner, my son already has about 5 handmade blankets and quilts and I feel bad I have no where to put them!!!! Looks so Nice, great job!
