  • I have started the quest for the perfect boots.. needed in black and brown... must be able to wear with leggings/jeggins...

after living here for 4.5 years I still have no clue where to shop/why shit is so expensive sometimes... I need like a Shoe Depot man- once place where all the shoes live together... and if I found the right ones at the right price I would buy them in both colours

Watch out.  My feet grow with every pregnancy.  I have not been able to find/wear boots for about 4 years.

I am only a size 6.5 now.. (4 UK which is borderline kids FFS)... so I got some room...

I am thinking lower like biker/slouch etc... my old ones had in inside zip but I wouldn't mind pull ons... slightly afraid at some point I would be able to pull the on/off though!

Me too! I loved Jessica Simpson's mummy costume a few years ago. If I tried that I'd probably look like I had fallen in a heap of toilet paper. Oh well maybe I'll give it a shot!

Agreed, I think shoe shopping is much better in the States! But I really miss a lot of the Ireland/U.K clothes shops when I'm over there! Though they are opening a huge Primark in Boston in September and I can't waaaaiiiit!! Good luck with your boot quest!

    Edited coz spelling.

  • I'm catching up from a couple days, so commenting as I go -
@PinkSunglasses16 I got some apple toaster strudels yesterday and OMG I get it!
@Smom901316, you just figure it out as you go along and just get into a survival mode, and then you look back after a little bit and you're just like “holy cow I'm actually *doing* this thing!”
@mrspepper05 everyone had me terrified about going from 2 to 3, saying all the changing from "man-to-man to zone defense" stuff was so hard. I was so freaking worried about it that I think I had myself overhyped; when it actually got here, it just all worked out naturally, and then everyone was telling me about how third babies tend to be chill and go with the flow (apparently the hard part comes when they're older? Haha). Now everyone is telling me that adding in the 4th is exponentially more complicated. I'm like just shut up please.
@skruhmin I love fall, but I hate cold weather clothing (being all covered up) and college football here in AL. I use my crockpot or instapot for those delish autumn meals all year long though. Chicken and dumplings is comfort food!
My feet were a 7 before my first baby. They grew to a 9 and never went all the way back down. I wear an 8 now LOL
@red3ye I've never been to Disney either ::cries::

Some how, after joining 4 weeks ago or so and stalking the pages every day, I managed to miss this thread. Just found it this morning and have been reading it when ever I get the chance. 31 pages and going strong :) So, who, other than me, hasn't been to Disney world? And definitely looking forward to Halloween. First year living in Texas so we can dress as we want, instead of dressing for 40 degree weather. Plus, Ms will hopefully, fingers crossed, be gone so I can make some yummy treats with my 2 year old.
Never been to Disney either! How sad is that?!

I don't love Halloween. The work and creativity into deciding on a costume is just too much for me. And to top it off, I live in MN so Halloween weather can vary a lot! Some years it really mild, and others it's freezing and snowing. UGH. Although, I think I will be much more excited about when getting to dress up a little one!

  • We have a heartbeat :-) 170 BPM....  I know we aren't out of the woods yet, but they scheduled me for another U/S at 10wks for peace of mind since that is after the baby's heart stopped last time.  So today I am pregnant.

Dressing up the kid and taking him out is why I love it. From about 14 till the time I had my son, I would just pass out candy and nothing else. But now, there is someone to show the world to, some one that makes all the effort worth it. May end up spend a couple hundred dollars on costumes, decorations, and crafts but he will love it, and so will I. Believe me, having a kid makes every day worth looking forward to.

On a different note, I think I'm going to call in sick tomorrow just so I can avoid going to a company bbq.  I hear it's going to be an awful morning sickness day.  Just something about sitting around with a bunch of engineers eating bbq and drinking beer who don't want to be there that sounds awful.  Why do they plan these things?  To force us to "chat"?

My sister in law gave me a maya wrap, and despite all the tutorials in the world, I can't seem to put this thing on in a way that I would trust a newborn in there. How do you feel about maya wraps, and how do you tie these things??

Random question and it is a genuine one: How is it perceived here by people who have been around for a while when people board hop a lot? I don't mean between this and 1st tri, or even lurking in a BMB a month or two away from ours. I mean, hypothetically, someone from, say Nov 2015, getting involved in a discussion here. I really don't know if this a totally cool, awesome done thing or if people think it's weird.

    Edited: punctuation.

    Go for it

The idea is to start a nominations thread for people to nominate the person they think had the best siggy. Then you do a poll thread for those nominated. Then the winner gets to pick. That's how it went down in my previous bmb but I'm all for doing it anyway folks want to go :)

I can't stand it.  Especially if they're hopping just to look for drama.
