11 hours of labor from water breaking to delivery. 35 mins of pushing! I got the epidural after hoping for a med-free delivery but I'm so glad I did!:) Totally was NOT expecting to go into labor yet! Introducing baby Rose Marie!:) Born at 2:21 am, Aug 12. Original due date was Aug 20th. Thanks for all the T&P's!!
Team green turned Team Blue as we welcomed our second son into the world yesterday, Jack Edward. 8lbs 12oz and 21.5" arriving 9 days late. He has a head full of blonde hair and is sweet as can be, utterly in love. Looking forward to seeing the rest of August babies roll in, good luck everyone!
Declan Scott Alexander August 10 8lbs 2oz 21 inches long 6:39 am
Went in for cervadil insertion on Saturday night at 10pm. Sunday morning around 8 I went pee and the cervadil fell out by itself. I had a shower and when I got out I realized that liquid was running down my leg. At some point my water broke and I started contracting. Got to the hospital at 9am and pitocin was started around 12:30pm. Finally at 4:30am it was time to push. 2 hours later our little man joined the family!!
Zelda Mae Marguerite was born 8/11 at 38 weeks 5 days. She was 7 lbs 15 oz and 21.5 inches long at 1:41 pm.
My water broke at 3:45 am on Tuesday morning. I didn't really have any contractions so my OB started me on pitocin at about 8 to get things going. I got my epidural at about 10:30 and had sweet relief for awhile, but at about 12:15 she flipped sunny side up and the back pain was the most intense thing I have ever felt. It turned out I was complete and ready to push. Once we got going the back pain subsided and we had her out in about thirty minutes.
Thea Mae was born on August 5th weighing 7 lb 15 oz.
It was 18 hours of induced labor. I tried to do it naturally, but after 13 hours with hardly any progress, I gave in to the epidural and progressed from a 3 to a 10 within 2 hours thanks to being able to finally relax. I allowed her to move down on her own for a while so that by the time I started pushing, it only took 12 minutes and 5 pushes to get her out! We are so in love with our sweet girl.
Grayson made his grand entrance at 10:32 this morning. It was a scheduled c-section at 39 weeks. He is 6lbs 12.5oz and 21 inches long. Sweet boy is already breast feeding well and has hardly cried at all today. dS1 (Parker) is already in love with his baby brother.
Baby Griffin arrived at 41+3, the day before I was supposed to start my induction, on 8/11 at 7:27pm. 7lbs 10oz and 21 inches of love! Ended up with an epidural after 10 hours of back labor and only progressing to a 5.5...and after that everything was amazing. We are smitten.
Jack Bennett is here! Born at 9:08 pm after 15 hours of labor and just 5 minutes of pushing. He clocks in at 8 lbs 7 oz, 20 inches long. He's the cutest thing I ever saw! He's obsessed with sucking - if his hands or a boob aren't in his mouth, he is not a happy camper. This is going to be interesting!!
Elouise Hayden arrived 8/10 following her induction at 41w2d -coming in at 6lb14oz and 20in long. An epidural started to sound nice but I had advanced the last 6cm in under an hour and she was ready to go! A whirlwind of a birth and we can't believe the love we have for her already at 2 days old! Best of luck to all you mamas already done and those who have yet to experience the upcoming birth!
Derrick Noah was born on 8/11/15 at 8:14 PM. 6lbs 14 ounces, 20 inches long. We were 38 weeks, one week before being induced due to gestational diabetes.
We went in for our weekly appointment at 10 on Tuesday morning, was already 3.5 cm and 80% effaced. Doc told us to go get our stuff and go to the hospital.
Got an epidural once I reached 7cm. Only worked on the right half of my body. Pushed for 45 minutes, small epistiotomy. He looks great, is nursing, and doing everything he is supposed to.
Baby Kitana Daria Gorton was born 12 August, 2 days passed due date.
Water broke at 03:20 and had meconium present. Contractions weren't too bad despite being only 3minutes apart. Went down to the hospital just after 05:30. Was only 2cm dilated.
Was 4cm dilated at 07:30 when they decided to transfer me to a different hospital due to baby heart rate being above the average baseline.
Got to the new hospital at 08:45 and she was born at 08:58... - 3.26kgs (7.19lbs) and 55cm (21.65inches)
2 bad tears and one smaller one. Hurt like hell but totally worth it...
Luca Christian was born on 8-13 @3:47AM weighing 8lbs 3 oz and 21 inches long. Induced at 1:30pm with balloon cathether. Was not even dialated but the balloon worked started pitocin at 4. Contractions came strong mean and fast. Got an epidural at 6 and it worked perfect! Balloon came out at 8pm and was fully dialated at 1AM. Baby was sunnyside up so i had to lay on my side for over an hour until he turned. Needed a vaccuum to help get him out after 70 minutes of pushing and had a 2nd degree tear but honestly it wasnt that bad. Totally worth it :x
Finn Edward made his grand appearance August 12th at 4:05 pm ---weighing in at 9 lbs. 1 oz. and 22 inches long! 2.5 hours of pushing, a 4th degree tear, and 20 stitches later ...we are so in love and he is worth every bit of the pain! Being a mommy is the greatest feeling in the world!
James Michael was born August 11 at 10:30 weighing 9 lbs 3 oz, and 21 in long!! via unplanned c section.
I went to the hospital with a fever at 3cm dilated, received pitocin around 4cm to speed my natural labor along. The contractions were so horrible after 5 hours I got the epidural. Once I was fully dilated we pushed for 2.5 hours! His head would not engage past my pelvis so dr asked if I would like a c section. After all that plus not eating and barely sleeping for 2 days I accepted and it was a great experience! I was awake, saw him right away, started breastfeeding, and I'm barely in pain from my incision.
Just goes to show you that sometimes your "plan" seriously becomes the opposite of what happens. But it is all worth it to have my beautiful baby and I'm glad that I was flexible!
Camden Timothy born August 13th at 2:32 pm at 39w2d (induced due to high BP). He weighed 7.7 and is 21 inches long. My labor was long at 12 hours (STM) even with an epideral. He is amazing though and big brother loves "Baby Cam".
Greyson Daniel Eby was born on 8-10-15 at 1:32 am. He was 7 lb 10 oz and 20 inches long. It was a long almost 48 hours of labor, but I was able to have the natural med-free birth I hoped for. We are all enjoying adjusting to our new normal
Jenna Avery was born 8/13 at 9:54am. She is 8lbs 21 inches and doing great. Originally due on the 15th, started induction Monday night after my blood pressure wouldn't level out. Was a ton of waiting around and nothing happening. Then she all of a sudden really wanted to be here. Only pushed for about 45 minutes and she was here! 2nd degree tear, but she's worth it! Our "little bird" takes our breath away!
Words cannot describe the way I feel. Watching my husband with this little girl, ugh I just cant even! Im in awe of this little girl. I couldnt ask for anything more.
Jonathan William "Jase" Wise born 8/13/15 at 12:34 am via c-section. He was a BIG BOY- 11 pounds 11 ounces! Did not have GD, and neither mommy or daddy were big babies. God just blessed us with a chunky monkey
Theodore Joseph, born 8/13/15 at 1:20 pm. 7lbs, 7oz (just like both of his sisters) and 18.5 inches of awesome. Had him out in three pushes, he is absolutely perfect and his sisters already adore him.
Our baby girl Chloe Lynn was born on 8/12, only 2 days before her DD. After 14 hours of labor and 45 minutes of pushing, we became parents! She weighed 6lbs 4oz and was 19in, our tiny little thing! I can't believe how amazing it is to be a FTM. Dad and I are so happy to be home! She is breastfeeding so well, couldn't be happier!
Eliana Sage was born 8/14/15 at 39w 6d. She weighs 6lbs 4oz and is 19 1/2 inches. 12 hours of labor, 3 hours of pushing all completely worth it. We are so in love with our princess!
Jett Malik Wilson was born August 13th at 8:28am weighing 9pds 11oz! Via scheduled repeat c section. We're so in love with our chunky monkey good luck to all of the rest of the A15 mommies your time is almost up!
My Anakin was born Aug 9th at 38 weeks 6lbs 9oz 19inches long and we almost didn't make it to the hospital my house is an hour and a half away from the hospital and we left at 7:15am and he was born at 8:37 just after arriving at the hospital not how I planned at all no time for an epidural barely time to lay in the bed. We are so in love. I can't load pics on my phone.
On August 14 at 441 am after 27 hours of labor and 3.5 hours of pushing, Austin Christopher was born. He weighed 7lbs 4oz 20 inches long. He is beautiful!
Farynn Leigh made her way into this world on 8/13 at 39+1. 7 pounds flat and 19 inches long. she is doin wonderful and already has everyone wrapped around her little finger. I noticed at 1:25 pm I started losing plug w/blood. 2:01 pm I had my first contraction. My water had a slow leak which I found out about at 6 pm, got epidural about 630 and it broke the rest of the way on its own at 9:25ish when i was 4 cm. At 10:41 she was born after only 3 easy pushes, no tearing or stitches, I was up an walking within the hour. I was GBS positive and was only able to get 1 bag of antibiotics in so we will be staying until 10 pm this evening then going home. DH is so proud and talks to her so much! She's breastfeeding like a champ and is gaining weight quick! We are so in love and can't wait to get home to ds and begin our bonding time as a family of 4!
Baby Blake is here after over 24 hours of labor! 9 lbs, 12 ounces. I had a pretty crazy birth story so I'll share it with you ladies! Labor started Friday morning, lost my mucus plug and started having mild contractions. They got steadily worse all day and when they were about 3 minutes apart we headed to labor and delivery. Unfortunately I was barely dilated but in a lot of discomfort. They gave me some meds so I could rest and when they checked again I had started to dilate. So basically everything was going ok until about 18 hours later I hit a wall and stopped progressing. then the pain hit.... insane back labor. I begged for an epidural and was able to rest. Finally time to push, we discovered baby was sunny side up, and I had spiked a fever. Plans were discussed for a possible c section, but after another half hour he shifted! I started pushing with all my might.... had to be assisted by forceps. Even with the epidural that part was crazy painful!! But I did it! Almost ten lbs!! Im not a big girl either. Had no idea he'd be a big boy! Unfortunately I had a third degree tear, so recovery might be a tad rough but baby Blake is worth all the pain!!
Kolter Jett arrived 8/15/15 at 8:41pm. He weighed 8lb 7oz and was 21.5in long.
We went in at 7am for our scheduled induction and got started on pitocin at 8:30am. I was 1cm dilated and 80% effaced but my cervix was extremely posterior. My contractions wee strong but nothing that I couldn't handle without meds. Around 12:30pm, my doctor did another cervical check (it hurt worse than anything I've ever felt before because my cervix was so far back). I was dilated to a 4 and decided to have an epidural. The epidural relaxed my body enough that I started laboring on my own. I was having contractions every minute so they stopped the pitocin. My doctor broke my water at 2:30pm and I started pushing at 8pm. DH was a great labor coach! Kolter arrived and is breastfeeding like a champ, a very hungry champ.
I was really blessed to have a ridiculously easy labor and delivery. My only complaint was that I was starving since I hadn't eaten since dinner the night before.
Our baby boy Primo Luciano bor August 9 via elective CS due to my 16cm fibroid. He was born with TTNB which cleared after 3 days so we are home! We are in love! He is 6.8 lbs. Due Date supposedly Aug29 based on LMP.
My turn, my turn!! Baby girl (no name yet, ugh, we did it again!) has arrived!! Original EDD 8/19. Today is my niece's birthday, she is excited to share with her new cousin! I woke up around 3 am to pee and had some contractions but figured it was my body screwing with me again. After a few I decided to time them and realized they were 3-4 min apart so at 3:30ish I called my parents to come stay with DS. We got to the hospital around 5:00 am and I was already almost at a 7!!! Got my epi a little after 7:00 am but it did not work!!! Baby girl was sideways so they wanted to get me comfortable even though I was now at a 10 so that we could see if she would turn. They tried 2 large doses of a more powerful drug but it still didn't touch the pain so they decided I should try to push her out. Hardly had to push at all, had to stop to wait for the Dr to come in even though she was half out! Cord was around her neck but they cut it right off and there were no issues. Best part (besides her arrival) - NO STITCHES!! I feel friggin amazing - no pain, no stinging, up and walking...literally do not feel like I just had a baby! She was 6 lbs 10 oz (the reverse of the time she was born - 10:06) and BF'ing like a pro. When not eating, she is sleeping. Such a great baby! Big brother is so in love...as are we! Can't wait to see all of your announcements!
Re: August 2015 Birth Announcements!
