@mg137 yeah I know but we're not in a court room. We're on a pregnancy board.
Yes, which is why the offense taken was acceptable, and her apology was warranted. But, especially if she's an attorney who uses the term in her daily work, you can hardly hold her use of the words against her, especially after her apology. Maybe someone else saw something I didn't, but I thought it was pretty clear that she wasn't making a judgment call about people who have children out of wedlock or their children.
"It's 2015 and women can damn well name their kids whatever they want, whether or not the person who knocked them up is their spouse/involved in any way."

Actually, her wording was exactly what I was holding against her.
Still at the beach, and my parents decided it was a good idea to walk to get some ice cream from this carnival, and I decided to join them...it ended up being a 5.5 mile walk round trip and I was wearing flip flops.
My feet are in peril.
But the ice cream was good, and my dad won at one of those games where you shoot water in a clown's mouth.
Also does anyone else find it amusing that we can use this feed to talk about posters like "ramzi- I'm having a boy" and they never seem to come here and defend themselves? I think the benefit is the high post count! It deters them, they couldn't possibly bother reading through so many posts they didn't write!
DH and I have both become sucked into Lifetimes new show, Unreal, which follows the behind the scenes drama of a reality dating snow. It's completely terrible, but so good. Worth a watch if you're bored!
My SO woke me up because I fell asleep while my SIL and BIL were over and didn't tell anyone I was going to bed. So he woke me up to hang out more but I just grabbed a bite of pizza and went back to bed. I'm laying here unable to fall back asleep and so stupidly pissed because every night before I go to bed ALL I want is a glass of ice water AND THERES NEVER ANY ICE! I can't wait to have a fridge that makes ice so it'll never run out (

Um, ice tray?
Speaking from an ice water fiend perspective depending on how many ice trays you have it's not sufficient. I like the ice to water ratio to be about 5:1 then it gets melty while I drink it. My brother and his gf brought me a party bag of ice...it takes up the whole bottom shelf of my freezer but it made me so freaking excited! I have been on an ice water binge since May.
I guess I'm not fiendish enough to understand this struggle.
I put 4 cubes in my 24 oz bottle. Lol
Yeah, you like the exact opposite ratio. I think I own two ice trays....and I don't think I ever use them. It's ridiculous that I buy frozen water buttttt in my defense we don't drink our tap water because it's well water.

This is so funny to me, because I too am a fan of ice water, and I JUST had a similar conversation with DH a few nights ago. Our freezer stopped making ice cubes so until we figure it out we got three ice cube trays. I have a system....will only use four cubes at a time and always have two frozen trays ready to use on top shelf. The left side of the bottom shelf is the "freezing station" and as soon as I finish a tray I refill and rotate the now frozen tray from the freezing station to the top shelf. He thinks I'm completely ridiculous, but it works haha.
Random thought.... I'm sitting in an infection prevention class for work, guy next to me has coffee that smells like French toast. The lady teaching is all omg hand hygiene and I'm just over here like omg I want French toast (
Today I'm sad that we completely emptied out our office this weekend. It's a good thing to make a nursery, but I still have two weeks left on this course I'm taking, and I really had myself set up nicely in there. We are re-setting it up in our basement, but the basement is not finished... It won't be as cozy.
I am very guilty of never refilling the ice cube trays. Also, I'm bad at refilling the water in the Keurig. DH used to get so irritated, now he just laughs.
At least you have an office @nickicb7 I'm usually stuck doing work on the kitchen table. I've been off of work for a year and a half but I'll be back in September. I wish I had a little office space but we're not planning on finishing our basement for another year or two. (We're still working on our main floor!)
@ChipMonster I will start working from home part time in December to see how it goes. I plan on putting a desk in my dining room because I need a printer/scanner. I'm nervous about working from home + newborn but I know other people make it work.
I have a thing about filling the ice trays too and I almost never use ice, but it drives me craaaazy when DW won't refill the tray! I am way too particular. Also, these are the best ice trays ever: https://www.oxo.com/p-1203-no-spill-ice-cube-tray.aspx
