RTT

aka random thought thread. It's a thread for everyone to post any random thoughts (duh), daily happenings, have discussions, etc. You get the point.

On my last bump it got as long as a couple thousand pages! If people take to it, we can make it a sticky.

Ready? Go!

Re: RTT

  • I'll start... My belly is tired today. Not my body, just my belly. Totally makes sense why but it's still weird describing it to DH.

I now hiccup once during a first sip of anything bubbly. Never happened before pregnancy.
  • Yay this thread 8->
  • I love ikea!!
  • I flossed last night with actual floss instead of using my water pic and the amount of itching in my gums today is going to make me absolutely insane.
  • #2 is still sleeping and I should actually take advantage of it and go shower and get ready but I just want to lay here and bump!
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • We bought our kitchen from ikea and we are still waiting for 5 door fronts and it is JULY!!!! I'm annoyed!
  • @KaraEpp16 that's kinda adorable! Sometimes the processing of that stuff takes a little longer for our counterparts lol....

    I love ikea!!

Me too! Sometimes I go just for the cinnamon rolls :)
That's how I get my husband to go :)
We'll only go if we can be there when they open though. That place gets way too crazy for me.
  • Should I explain how to Internet or.... ?ugh.

I go during the week never on the weekend it's insane. My DH will never set foot in ikea again because I scarred him on our first trip. We went when I was in college with my roommate to buy some things for our new apartment and we were there for like 6 hours #-o oops

I'll go to ikea any day of the week, any time of the day. It's all gravy, baby.

  • I have 2 also @Paige6410
    Smh.
  • And who is the person who posted "repeat post police" on the newest movement thread??
  • I've never been to ikea.....
    8->
  • @StephPegasus not sure so I didn't touch it..
  • @Snoopylovesbelle , we live in MA. The only other Ikea in New England is in CT. Ours is always mobbed...even on the weekdays. I actually hate weekdays more because of the traffic.
I have the place down now though. I make a list through their website before we go. It tells you where everything is so we can at least avoid the zombies wandering the showroom and go straight for the merchandise. It keeps me from spending way more than I want to as well ;;)

@hailees She's been posting regularly to our board so I guess she's been here a while. Probably trying out her own brand of snark.
Eta tag, and I saw her post something similar on another thread yesterday.
  • @KaraEpp16 my mom had me at 23 and my bro at 29. I had always pictured myself having kids in my 20s and thought I'd want to be done by the time I was 30. Until I hit my 20s!

For a while I felt like my life wasn't on track because I wasn't anywhere near that life but I'm glad I wasn't because the guy I was with was no good for me and I got 3 degrees in my 20s. I didn't get married until I was 30 and had my first at 31. Now I'll have my 2nd at 32.

PS you are missing out on the ikea stuff. So fun!!
  • @KaraEpp16, it's probably not even worth it for you. Aside from the drive to get there, it's a pain in the ass to get to the register and remember you have to pay tax. :(
  • I want to go to the march 16 thread and steal their "read this before you post" post, and have it posted as a sticky on our board. It has a great combo of snark and honesty and spells it our straight!

Also instead of getting any of my AQ course done, Is spend all my time here.... I think DH is starting to wonder what I do all day. lol

  • @ChipMonster I'm so impressed that you busted out three degrees! I have no degrees - I am petrified of owing people thousands of dollars and high school was....rough. I knew when I met my SO that I wanted him to be the father of my children. I'm glad we found the right guys when we were supposed to!

@jessfragione I'm not sure if they have an Ikea in NH but we have no sales tax woot woot. I really have no interest in going... I like reading the reviews on amazon and researching furniture there. We got an AWESOME entertainment center. It's probably my favorite piece of furniture in my living room.
  • My husband makes the best pancakes in the world and I love pancakes! Problem is this baby doesn't. One bite and I'm throwing up. I just want my pancakes!!!!

@KaraEpp16, I live in MA on the NH border. There are only 2 Ikea stores in New England. One in Stoughton, MA and one in New Haven, CT. I do most of my shopping in NH since it is only one town away from me, so it's a shock to pay tax when I actually do shop here in MA. I soooo wish they'd put an Ikea in NH. They could just take over the old Rockingham race track in Salem and make me a happy camper!
  • They are about to put in an ikea somewhat close to me, I'm excited! I've also never been to one.
