My husband would 100% do this...you guys are lucky he didn't burn himself! Mine just HAD to make himself lobster for lunch recently like he's freakin Oprah Winfrey or something and as he's draining it he spilled the hot water all over his foot. Then he limped around for a week with his burned foot. It reminded me of when Michael Scott cooked his foot on the George Forman grill on The Office lol. But you know who had to clean up the nasty lobster water too... -_-

@apinkpelican Yeah, I came home from the store to him finishing shampooing the kitchen floor. And stouffers takes 1:40 to bake. Mine would take about that long and, not to toot my own horn, but I can cook and one of my best dishes is lasagna. Stouffers doesn't come close and is way more fattening. I use lots of veggies and a mix of sausage and venison instead of beef. It's pretty amazing. ;;)

When your DH/SO/DW/etc isn't sleeping with you for a bit (if you normally sleep together) how do you sleep? Do you take up the entire bed or do you stick to your side?

My mom and I discussed how we both stay on our side (with maybe a little more limb splaying onto his side), whereas my dad and DH will both take up the whole bed if left alone.

I'm down the shore with family, staying almost the full week, but DH just left after the weekend because he couldn't get off work tomorrow, and I totally just got into the bed and stayed on my side, it's so silly.

Oh no, I'm sleeping like a starfish when he's not there!! I sprawl out and enjoy the shit out of that extra space. Plus when I curl up in my usual spot I wake up and except him to be in bed with me.

@JandJ62914 yeah, he spilled it all over his foot but when I came into the kitchen he was too busy apologizing and said he was fine and wouldn't go rinse it in cold water.

@CaraBoonie When DH goes to drill every month, I do the same thing you do. He doesn't take up the whole bed by himself either because he curls in a ball and burrows in the covers. Which he tries to do when we're both in bed so I end up only partly covered halfway through the night and have to pull them back.

@CaraBoonie I stay on my side. And by my side, I mean the 1/3 of the bed that is mine. I'm a side sleeper who hardly moves all night.

@indibidule @hailees I usually end up just leaving my stuff on his side...like I'll watch Netflix on my laptop in bed and fall asleep with my laptop where his head usually is, or toss snacks or my kindle on his side, haha.

@CaraBoonie I will leave my Kindle on his pillow, but the dogs will use the opportunity to sleep on the bed and will take up the remainder of his spot. I allow it because it helps me sleep better because I have trouble when he's gone.

this is what happens at my house. The dogs know I have no power over them and sleep in the bed when he's gone. My German shorthair sleeps closer to me than DH so I usually don't sleep well.

I'm think I'm the latest A/S on here! Mine is on Sept 11, exactly 20 weeks. ETA: nope sounds like it's @daniellelynette with Sept 15. @shinyspade I'm also 1/29 EDD and so is CaraBoonie! You're not alone. I also had donuts tonight.

When DW is gone I sleep the same as if she's here - all on my side of the bed.

I hope your new place has smaller window so it's not as bright s I-) @RepeatPostPolice my A/S is scheduled for August 27th so I have quite a while to wait too, luckily we are going on vacation for two weeks mid August so I'll be distracted. @CaraBoonie I am a side sleeper too but when DH isn't there I starfish, but more so in the morning, can only fall asleep on my side.

@RepeatPostPolice We just started watching True Detective last night from the beginning. I'm not sure about it so far... We only watched the first episode. I sort of felt like it was a really long Matthew Mcconaughey Buick commercial, like, the whole time. Everyone says it's so good, so hopefully it gets better? The last 10 mins or so I felt like it was starting to turn around though. We'll see...

@Pinkpelican one thing to add to your Vegas tips..the Wynn has the most AMAZING buffet! We went there for brunch/lunch but the array of food there..and all the desserts..It's a pregnant girls dream.

I'm exactly like this when DH is on shift. The only thing I do different is maybe sleep in my side facing in with my leg on the "4" position. Toward his side, but still on my own side. DH is a violent sleeper, so when I'm not home he for sure thrashes about the whole bed!

@Beverly0628 the second season has different plot line & actors but I did enjoy Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson together. Last night was the second-to-last episode and it had a plot twist I wasn't expecting (and wasn't happy about lol).
It took me a couple episodes to figure out what was going on because of the way they do all the present-to-past storytelling. It gets easier to understand as you go along.
Eta second season is all in chronological order.

My first A/S is Friday! It's an early one and then I'll have another in another 3/4 weeks. They're keeping an extra eye on me because I'm high risk for GD and Pre-E. They want to track growth. I won't be surprised if they also send me for growth scans later on. Whateve they have to do to make sure Baby is on track.

DH and I decided to pay and go to a specialty ultrasound place to find out the sex on Friday!

We did this for dd too and loved it. It was so fun watching her wiggle around for a half and hour!!! Can't wait to see this LO!

Woke up to an automated call from my OB saying they have to reschedule my appointment next week...which was going to be a 3d ultrasound that I've been looking forward to for weeks! Last time they rescheduled, I ended up getting into an earlier appointment though, so maybe I'll strike gold again. But I'd like to not have this one pushed back, it took awhile to find a time that worked to get DH there too...I tried to call them back to reschedule but haven't been able to get through, which is the super annoying part. I get that things get pushed in medicine, especially when c-sections and births and emergencies are added to the schedule at any time. But I'd prefer a person to call and reschedule me instead of a robot saying someone will call eventually...

That's all, just needed a quick morning rant to get it out of my system before I go spend a day with my family so I can be pleasant around them, haha.

Warning... annoying baby name random thought....

My DH wants to name our baby after his Grandfather. Great! Except that it is my first love/ex-boyfriends name. I. Just. Can't. But it means so much to DH that I might have to. I'm trying to convince him to move it to the middle name. After our conversation about it I actually had a dream about the ex-boyfriend. I'm sure I'll get over it, right?

Update: They pushed my appointment back 4 days

I know it's not the end of the world, but I have a family wedding that weekend and was looking forward to seeing her face before then and gushing to relatives, ngl, haha.
