A couple of projects done so far! 1)Peg board above changing table; now to add baskets, shelf, and decorations. 2)Book shelf racks and rod with toy baskets.

Nerdy mommies (yes I'm talking to you @VexedMommy) have yall looked at some of the ideas on Pintrest? I'm thinking about throwing in a few little tidbits, like the harry potter key mobile and a few other things. I also saw some prints that have Firefly quotes on them. Do yall think if it's subtle things it would still work?
Ok, so I HAD to go to pinterest last night after reading this. Holy crap there is so much stuff that is AWESOME!! I found the most adorable sign that I think I'm going to try to paint onto a canvas and put it above the book shelf or in the little reading nook I plan to make. I think it's something my eldest can get behind as well as something I want to pass on to the youngest.
If there's something strange underneath the hood. Who you gonna call? Your Doctor. If there's something weird and it don't look good. Who you gonna call? Your Doctor. Immediately. If it's new, painful, and possibly pregnancy related get your ass off the internet and call your doctor. It's for your health and your child's.

I thought you would love it all! Especially with needing to include your SD in the room. Did you see the mobiles with the winged keys?

I did. I really like it. I might do some of the stuff with lights in both kids rooms. I love the LED's in a mason jar full of what looks like easter grass. I think that will be a perfect night light.

Just finished another diy project for our airplane nursery. We had an old dry erase/magnet board. I covered it on fabric then made paper airplane magnets. The airplanes were actually push pins that I cut the pin part of off and glued a magnet on the back. Total cost: $13!
I've done a TON! So far I've made a quilt, leggings and knotted hats, 2 crib sheets, 3 changing pad covers, a travel changing mat, 3 receiving blankets, a boppy pillow cover, an ottoman, and a couple throw pillows! I can't seem to stop and I have a huge list of more I want to do! Thank goodness for early nesting drive!
Has anyone seen any cute Winnie the pooh crafts for the nursery? I can't find any cute craft ideas I just recently decided on the Winnie the pooh theme

These are a few ideas I had had for a client of mine who did a Winnie the Pooh theme. It was the vintage Winnie the Pooh.
Does anyone have any tips on making a latch rug? I just want to make a plain white shaggy one. I don't know how to sew, knit, crotchet or anything. Wondering if I should spend the money on a kit? Suggestions?
I'm doing a rag rug for my daughter right now, and then will start on one for this LO. Go to Walmart and buy one of those non slip rug things...(looks like the latch hook thing) and cut some ( a lot) of scrap fabric, old t-shirts, bedding, ect. And you just loop it through and tie it. It's very, very time consuming. But you just have to be able to cut and tie a knot.
Well.. I decided to make a BIG latch rug. I did not think it was going to be this time consuming. So if any of you ladies wanna come and help me... Feel free. I just started today, took me a little while to get the hang of it. The 2nd picture is how big the latch rug is, and the 4th is how much I got done in like an hour or so. Hubby is leaving for a month so I guess I'll be occupied! Wish me luck.

Your dog looks very entertained lol so adorable lol and it's ok I made a big one about a year ago and it may look big now but once you really get going it will be done in no time!!
I saw this on pinterest and wished I could be this organized!
That's actually a pic pulled from the Ikea website for the skubb organizer boxes. You can make the same thing out of children's shoe boxes or even empty boxes of pasta. It makes the organizer in me happy, but pp is right - it only lasts a few days.

. @katiedhunter this is the "before" baby arrives picture. The "after" baby arrives photo would show the drawers as a total mess hehe
This is my thought when I see stuff the before nursery is beautiful the after us realistic. I am so organized for about a week or two then where ever it fits.

Oh Ya I know the organization does not last! Especially since I have two little boys who just love to help! But to be that organized would be amazing! Lol
We are doing a baseball theme for our little boy (hubby and I are both big baseball fans). Mostly I want to go with more of a vintage baseball feel. So far I have painted some square canvases with different baseball items and a Babe Ruth quote. I saw these on Pinterest/etsy and basically thought, I can do that! I will also be painting an old dresser navy blue. The crates that the paintings are sitting on in the picture are being screwed together and painted navy also as a bookcase (again, thanks Pinterest!) There are four altogether that I got from Michaels.

- It's actually not an Ikea ad picture. It's from a woman's blog post about her son's nursery. (The blog is twotwentyone.net). Tons of cute ideas there!
We have the same dresser and organizers and I love them! We use them in our other children's dressers too and they really do stay organized! That might be my anal personality though.

So I have decided to make a bobby pillow and wondering if anybody has tried that yet? If you have how big did you make it? I'm wondering how much fabric I'll need to make it..

I did not make a boppy, but the removable cover is a must! Just something to keep in mind. I washed that thing all the time.

My DD had acid reflux so not only was the removable cover a must, the waterproof cover was amazing. The waterproof cover is about $12.

Are you going to make little baseballs and/or bats for the drawer pulls? If you have the screw in style the baseballs would be really simple to diy. If you've got the longer two screw style you could do the bats. It could be a simple project.

I painted and decorated these yesterday. We're going with a Seahawks theme which my husband is oh so excited about. Haha. So happy with how these turned out.
I am working on making crib sheets, finishing up some other little crafts and revamping a kids rocker. So far I have painted a dresser for a changing table and created an ABC wall!
