At my dating ultrasound, I was told to drink 5 glasses of water and stop and hour before my apt. I drank 4. I peed before I started drinking them, but by the time I finished I already had to pee. The hour until the apt was torture. I thought I was goin to pee myself.
She started the ultrasound, gave me a cup and told me straight away to go pee out a cupful. Then later as she showed me the baby she said "and there is your bladder, which is still too full!" When my husband came in she showed him and again said "and that's her baldder, which is still too full!" I was so mad. I said that I drank less than what they told me, and it's not like I wanted to be so uncomfortable!
After having a meeting this morning (my kid is going to be a telecommunications expert!) I wrote down my to-dos. I already want to just start a Monday to-do list and move everything over.
Eeeeee!!!!!! You guys, I just got an order of maternity shirts I forgot about. A few days ago my husband found a deal on SlickDeals.net for a Motherhood Maternity sale. They had a bunch of t-shirts and tank tops for $5 and they had buy one, get one free deals too. I got a few tank tops, two Jessica Simpson t-shirts, a cute plaid "button down", and a couple of other things. I didn't buy pants because there's no way of knowing if they'll fit but they had those too. And he found a coupon for free shipping too.
Eta: my husband just said the $5 and BoGo sales are still going! Go see if you can find anything!
@Snoopylovesbelle , we live in MA. The only other Ikea in New England is in CT. Ours is always mobbed...even on the weekdays. I actually hate weekdays more because of the traffic. I have the place down now though. I make a list through their website before we go. It tells you where everything is so we can at least avoid the zombies wandering the showroom and go straight for the merchandise. It keeps me from spending way more than I want to as well ;;)
I went to ikea in stoughton on a couple of weekends ago. Found tons of great stuff for my new house. A big tip though - never, ever bring a 2 year old on a trip to ikea!!! (Edited to fix autocorrect issue)
Lord help me, I am using the oven tonight. My SO has been hounding me for meatloaf the last 4 months + and I've just been putting it off - thinking of any other meal we can make with the ground beef. If he could marry the meatloaf and not be a weirdo...I think he would end up giving it a diamond before me.
We were going to stirfry tonight but changed it to grilled kielbasa & skewered veggies so we can grill!! Eta @KaraEpp16 I hope your SO knows he has a special lady. I wouldn't want to run the oven in this weather either.
@KaraEpp16 you can do meatloaf on the grill. Just make it into a loaf form and wrap in foil. Just use a meat thermometer to see if it's done. Much cooler in the house that way!
@CaraBoonie I have been avoiding the kitchen. Today isn't too bad because the humidity has dropped in these parts. I recruited him to make the potatoes so we will be sweating together.
@RepeatPostPolice I've been trying to go with the grill option over ALL. I haven't figured out how to grill meatloaf yet though :P
If he wasn't like a little kid in a candy store eating it I would be like sorry boutya.
Dd keeps magically appearing with cookies. I do not give my 15 month old cookies or any sweets for that matter. I'm so pissed just heard MIL say "oh you're ready for another cookie??" X(

I'm too afraid to change it up. I will attempt it another time but if for some reason it doesn't come out - I will end up with a grown man crying.

@sherks11 The "another" cookie is what would really annoy me! It's one thing to give the kid one cookie, but another to give them multiple, especially without clearing it with you first.
@sherks11 I would say just as loudly to DD, "that's your last one. Grandma probably doesn't remember because it's been a long time since she had babies, but we don't want to ruin your dinner!" One Christmas my MIL gave our dogs Christmas cookies. Early morning before she thought we were awake and could hear her. I was pissed.
Good I'm glad I'm not irrationally mad about this. I know that I limit dd on sweets and bad food but it's because I know that all that is inevitable. I'm just trying to give her as much healthy food as possible for as long as possible. AND MIL KNOWS ALL THIS!! Which is why I can't believe she did it. Dd has been pointing at the bag on the counter the last couple days and I guess I know why now! Luckily DH stood up and said no one is enough.
My uncle gave my aunt's kids chocolate milk in their bottles. He also have them Mountain Dew in sippy cups. She is a health nut and almost imploded when she found out!
Also I never comment on things because I never remember where I commented to go back and look. It doesn't give me notifications. I post on things but never remember what I posted to. #fail.

Omg, my boss called me on my way in to work and said it was so slow because of the county fair going on that they didn't need me and I would make no money. Now I'm home trying to get DH on board with going to the fair. Because elephant ears.
