I love looking at other people's projects. So many creative moms on here! I made a bird mobile for our baby and have also knitted a bunch of sweaters. It's lucky this baby will be coming during the winter months!
I love that mobile!

If it's new, painful, and possibly pregnancy related get your ass off the internet and call your doctor. It's for your health and your child's.
I am in love with that mobile! Tiny humans room is going to be adventure and travel (planes, trains, hot air balloons, maps etc.).
@jellybug8402 thank you! It was pretty easy to make and cost us $20 total! We also added a map. I got it off of amazon. It has a sticky back so I put it on a canvas.
GAH! Do you by any chance have the link for that listing on Amazon?!?!? I love that it has a sticky back, would save me a lot of embarrassing moments that are inevitable if I have to use glue on a large surface at this point lol. My level of clumsy has reached an all time high lately.
If she doesn't know the link - I highly recommend spray adhesive! Then anything can have a sticky back. It works great! I made some nonstick wall decals adhere with it
Here's my projects so far. A origami crane mobile and crochet hat and blanket. I took a class at Michaels craft to learn to crochet. Best decision ever!!
What pattern did you use for the hat? It is so cute! I can not find one I like and I love the one you made.
I'm currently getting some Christmas gift knitting out of the way, but after that I'm planning to knit a tiny Santa hat, some leg warmers for when she's crawling, finish a cotton Easter dress (down to the bottom hem, but its a complicated lace pattern), and then maybe some more hats or socks. I was going to knit another blanket, but having just finished an afghan for my grandpa, I'm kind of burnt out on the larger projects! So we'll see if that mojo comes back or not.
You ladies inspired me, I'm loving all of your projects! I went to Michael's yesterday and got the 'ingredients' for some décor crafts for the nursery. Time is flying so I guess it's time I get to work!
Target has some pretty cool stuff in the dollar section right now. I was able to find some little triangle banners that I'll string with some cord. My husband has finally given in to my need for crafting, I made some wooden letters with scrapbook paper modpodged on them and some cool frames.
For anyone looking for wooden letters www.cutitoutalready.com has some really cute ones. They also have awesome frames. And I know for sure that they will do custom letters if you just call and chat with the guy.
We are going to make baby Liam's room under the sea - pirate themed. The hubby is going to paint a mural in all four walls. I used this Rubbermaid plastic storage container and turned it into a treasure chest! It will be used to store the toys. I also found this initial idea on pinterest & made one of my own. The letter I got at Walmart for $1.75 and the beads at the Dollar Store for $1. The shells I got from the beach for free (:

You did an awesome job with the toy box!

Here are a few of the crafts I've been working on. Our nursery colors will be navy blue, baby blue, and white with a stars/moons theme. I can't wait to see it all come together.

Working on baby projects today with one of my best friends (also one of my most artistic friends) who drew this last night for our tiny humans adventure themed nursery. These are by far the best kind of gifts :x
Does anyone have any tips on making a latch rug? I just want to make a plain white shaggy one. I don't know how to sew, knit, crotchet or anything. Wondering if I should spend the money on a kit? Suggestions?
Today I DIY'd this toy box for our daughter. I'm absolutely in love with it. I painted everything by hand. I love it even more because it was mine as a child- my parents built and stained it when they were pregnant with me.. Now I get to pass it down to our little girl. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out

I would look into the cost of the latch supplies, if you want a plain white one it might be cheaper just to buy a ready made rug. I don't think you need a kit if it is all one color, all you need is the hook, precut yarn, canvas and binding to finish the edges. I am sure a YouTube video can show you how in 5 minutes, latch hook is very easy. I would check out Herrschners.com that have lots of latch hook supplies.
Nerdy mommies (yes I'm talking to you @VexedMommy) have yall looked at some of the ideas on Pintrest? I'm thinking about throwing in a few little tidbits, like the harry potter key mobile and a few other things. I also saw some prints that have Firefly quotes on them. Do yall think if it's subtle things it would still work?

I think they could definitely work. Firefly Examples I would Love For instances in an adventure themed room, the quote "You can't take the sky from me." or "Time for some thrilling heroics." would work well. A girls or boys room would be awesome with a canvas that just has "Shiny" on it in gold or silver metallic or even glitter. The informal theme of the toddler years is, "Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!" and it would be freaking phenomenal to have the brontosaurus and T-rex on a little canvas in a dinosaur themed room with or without that quote on it.
There are a ton you could use from other fandoms like Harry Potter too. I just happen to love Firefly the most and don't have time to look up too many quotes while I'm at work.

FYI, etsy has lots of listings for tiny Jayne hats...

***Quote fail! They have one on Pintrest that has the quote "love keeps her in the air" I instantly melted and decided I have to do this!
I'm doing a tutu hair bow holder and a flower wreath chandelier mobile! I also spray painted her curtain rods gold...does that count . I'll post pics when the first two projects are done.
I haven't started yet, but I'm taking a comfy chair and foot stool I found at a thrift store, that has unfortunately ugly upholstery, and painting it. Yes I said Paint! I've looked into some tutorials and I feel confident. Its way cheaper than re-upholstering the whole thing and easy enough to make it work into my nursery them than its current floral colors.

Here's what I've knit so far for kiddo:

Sorry for the double photo, it won't let me delete one
