What Will You Miss Most?

Hi, Ladies! I don't think I've seen a post about this so forgive me if it's a repeat. We've all had our ups and downs throughout our pregnancies, some more than others. But in spite of the aches, pains, and morning sickness, what will you miss most?

I'll miss feeling her do somersaults in my abdomen and poking back when I touch her. I'll also miss the preferential treatment I received (expectant mother parking, people offering to carry things for me).

  • Although I am going to miss feeling my little man move around, I can't wait to have him in my arms :)

  • I think I'll miss everyone thinking I'm cute and smiling at me just because I'm pregnant. My husband is totally obsessed with pregnant me, and cannot stop calling me cute. I'll miss that when my tummy is flat again!
My husband is the same way! Lol. He tells me I'm sexy pregnant even though I feel like a blob.

  • I'll miss the kicks. Also our twins are so intrigued by the baby in mommy's belly and giving kisses and tickling the baby (my belly button). It's the cutest.

That's the best. My four yo is the most interested and has some hilarious commentary. She has so many thoughts about how he eats, breathes, how he's coming out. I laugh so much when she gets going.

Being able to eat whatever I want and sleep however much I want without judgment!! :)
  • The kicks, most definitely. I love to just sit and feel him move. And the extra courtesy from others is nice.

Baby kicks. And being allowed to take it easy.
  • The baby kicks and the extra attention.  I love love love the kicks, and will miss them when baby is  here.  And I love the extra attention I get from my DH.
  • I agree I will miss the feeling of baby moving around inside me..it's such an amazing feeling, something I can't quite explain.  I will also miss justifying my nighttime ice cream habit. right now i'm on a butter pecan kick..lol.  Also, I've been watching a lot of teen mom 2 which will probably have to stop lol

Having an excuse to not do anything I don't fancy doing.... Feeling her movement in my tummy although I can't wait to hold her. Having an excuse to have a sticky-out-tummy.....

Oh and all the 'you are looking so well' comments....

Butter Pecan is THE BEST ice cream flavor, EVER! I was daydreaming about getting home to eat some, yesterday.

My twins do the same thing! They call my belly button "baby Sawyer" and give him kisses all the time :) It melts my heart!

  • If I start crying again today it's October '15 moms faultsss %-(
  • I'll miss the baby kicks and people giving up their seat on the subway for me. Lol. I'll miss constantly being told how cute I am.

Other than that, there's not much else. There hasn't really been very many perks for me or much that I'll miss.

I eat the same as pre-pregnancy (so barely at all lol) and I still sleep the same hours and try to keep up with everyone.
  • feeling little miss sunshine wiggle in my tummy. And even though i had a really rough first 20 weeks with sickness and bloodpressurw issues... Now i feel really energized and have been very active! I feel healthy and beautiful and like my body is so powerful! I will miss the icecream that i have been eating without guilt because baby needs it ;) haha i really have loved being pregnant.

I have a second one. I'll miss my husband asking me every day, "how's my boy doing today?" I don't know why I find that cuter than his belly rubs and kisses but I do.
  • I agree with PP's!  I never got told I looked cute on a daily basis and everyone always worrying about me!  I will also miss being able to wear tight shirts and not care!

  • This is my last baby so I'll miss..
     -  baby kicks, it being acceptable to wear yoga pants everywhere, no period and big belly days!
  • I'll miss feeling Baby kick me against the bed as soon as I'm falling asleep.
  • I'm going to miss my prenatal yoga class. I have enjoyed slowing down my workout routine and focusing on listening to my body. Hoping to keep that up in different forms after baby.

I'm also going to miss the planning/prepping/organizing stage. I have had so much fun getting nursery ready for baby! It's started a bit of an organizing/updating revolution in our house.
  • I'll miss having the baby with me all the time. I am already dreading leaving the baby at home or at daycare. I am so lucky to be with baby all day and all night. Soon the baby will be apart from me and I'll have to share holding them! So sad.
  • There is so much I will miss! I will miss always having baby with me. Especially during bad days at work. It makes me feel better just knowing that baby is there and is much more important than any stuff I am dealing with at work.

I will also miss my big belly. I love it. I will miss the kicks and the feeling of getting to know baby's personality while he or she is still developing in there.
  • Same as pp. I'll miss feeling him kick and never feeling alone. I'll also miss the excuse to have a nice big belly. I have body image issues and feel like I'm expected to look perfect ie have a flat stomach.
  • I'm gonna miss feeling her move and kick. And the attention I get from DB ;)
