@HungryRunner76 I ADORE your nursery. It's something I would Repin for sure. Lol
I'll have to check out that Ikea dresser, too. We've been on the hunt for an affordable one. We're registered at Babies R Us, but their furniture is overpriced so we're just going to get one ourselves somewhere else.
@AngieandJakeBailey - all the PPs are correct! It's the Hermnes dresser from IKEA - we did do different knobs though. We are likely to use the same for this nursery too. It's actually a really nice piece of furniture!
@segorman17 - it is a hamper! You can get it from Home Depot or (I think) Home Decorators. It's the medium sized one - just FYI.
I'm going to change the knobs on mine as well. I'm getting the ones below and painting them Raspberry, Turquoise and Purple which are the colors in the nursery.

I would suggest getting adult sized dressers and bookshelves for the little one instead of buying a set from a children's store. I'm of the opinion you can never have too much storage space. I plan on getting a standard sized bookshelf and keeping the little ones board/baby books and small toys on the bottom shelves in baskets and keeping my older daughter's books and her keepsakes on the higher shelves.

If it's new, painful, and possibly pregnancy related get your ass off the internet and call your doctor. It's for your health and your child's.

Yeah, that's the plan. I'd like a short, long dresser so we can put a changing pad on top as well. SO & I need a dresser for our bedroom, too, so we're just going to buy them at once.
That's a good idea for the bookshelf! We'll have to do something like that in our living room. Baby stuff on bottom, and our books on the top. We have half of our books in boxes right now because we ran out of room.
Guys, I wanted an ikea dresser so badly, but apparently ikea won't ship anything here. I'm toying with the idea of just getting one of the nursery in a box type sets with the stupid tiny dresser and then getting a new dresser for the little guy sometime once we are back on the mainland and have more (and cheaper) options. He will be about one when we move. Do you think it's worth doing that, or should I just fork up the money and buy a full sized dresser here so that we will have the storage space from the get go?

It would depend on a lot of things for me. How long are you going to be on the island? How much is shipping a full size dresser to you and how much to ship it when you move? How much would you spend on the kid size dresser and how much to ship it to the mainland when you move?
ETA: I am failing frequently at reading comp today. If it's only for a year maybe you could use one of the plastic 3 drawer carts for folded clothes storage and for baby items storage.

Here is our nursery! We are team green so we went with Aqua and Grey colors. I painted elephants in the closet and the four pictures in frames I made myself from card stock paper and a glue gun! I bought the little owl painting. The stuffed elephant is what we are using in all the monthly pictures to show how baby is growing (we did this with our daughter with her pink teddy bear). All I really have left to do is to make new curtains (they will be aqua on top and grey on bottom with elephants) and to re-cover the rocking chair cover. I'm thinking one side a minky grey fabric for winter and the other side will probably be the same aqua as the top of the curtain.

I'm a slacker too! We have most everything boxed up and just have to move out the computer desk and computer before we start painting the yellow wall white and fixing the closet. But I have a mental image of what I want. Annnnd now I'm stressing over it LOL again. This is nothing new for me.
Maybe you ladies can help me! Here is the nursery set I bought for our little girl (picture is not our nursery), the furniture will be white. I'm thinking about painting the room a light sage, with a coral accent wall & coral closet... Think that'll be too much?
We close on our home next week so we haven't been able to do anything yet. I have a question for you ladies, how do you feel about black furniture in the nursery? I have a black dresser already and I was just going to buy w black crib to go along with it, but my husband said it will make the room too dark and we should just buy white furniture. I know some of you have been able to successfully paint furniture, but idk if we'd be able to do that. I don't like the idea of being around the fumes of paint (over-anxious FTM here) and I'm not sure that my husband is crafty enough to pull it off.

The black furniture could look good depending on what colors you put it with. I would go with bold colors and graphic prints.

Thank you! I was thinking of going with a very light pink or light aqua for the walls, some sort of quilt design bedding with a lot of different colors and some nature PopDecals for the walls (possibly some large birch trees or dandelions).
We have the hemnes ikea dresser in dark blue. Love it. It's moving rooms with my son. I will say this I'm 5' tall and I found the hemnes dresser to be a bit high for the change table. I made it work but that's why this baby is getting a new dresser.
My nursery for baby boy Hudson so far! As soon as I found out he was a boy, I started obsessing! Found the crib on Wayfair for $99, the changing table for $25 at Once Upon a Child (painted it myself), end table for $20 at a yard sale (painted + new knobs) and bookcase at WalMart! Most of the wall decor is from Hobby Lobby which is having a HUGE sale this week FYI!

Yeah, I was just talking to my husband today about using a plastic drawer cart until we move, actually. It really does make a lot more sense for us. Because the dressers we have been looking at we can either get free shipping or at least pick up for free once we are on the mainland, but to get it shipped here it's looking like between $150-250 just for the shipping alone for our favorites and I have trouble justifying that!
We ordered the crib and hutch and I'm making my own storage bins out of diaper boxes and a pretty letter "A" for her wall
I love the storage bin out of diaper boxes idea. I was (and still am) considering buying some of the little fabric bins to keep toys and books in, but this might make more sense.

It is from babies r us. Baby cache Montana in glazed white. More expensive than I would like but my in laws graciously paid for it- right now it's 15% off which helps! I plan on keeping it for a guest room when my son grows up.

Love the bedding set! I would probably do a much lighter shade of the taupe that is in the bedding on all 4 walls and maybe just save the coral for accent decorations instead of putting it on the walls or closet, if you painted the closet a more neutral color like what might be on the walls, you could find coral colored baskets to line a shelf of the closet to hold little things like blankets, extra lotion/wash/diaper creme. Then again, I'm someone who changes my taste often and by the time baby is 1 1/2-2, I will be wanting to change her theme and the idea of a neutral colored walls just makes that a lot easier! I'm sure your nursery will come out beautiful no matter what! The bedding is gorgeous!!
Okay ladies, I can't decide which theme I like better for my little girl. I like the bears but worry that it's too neutral or boyish. I'm not a huge fan of pink, but I do like the animals on the jungle one. Any opinions?
@JamieA322 , I think that both are quite cute. If you like the bears but don't want it to be too neutral, you can always accent with more girlish colors. It's neutral enough that any accent color will probably work well with it. Add a purple/lavender rug, crib sheet, curtains and pillows on a rocker for instance and you have a pretty defined girl room without going too pink.

Are you going to have another baby? I'd go with the bears if you are because you can use it again. And agree with adding accent colors!
I bought in to the whole crib set and bedding with my daughter, all we ever used was the crib sheets as loose blankets and bumper pads for the cribs aren't supposed to be used. All I bought this time was a matching crib sheet and change pad cover, saved a lot of money.
@violetigerlily I prefer the bears as previously stated in case you plan on having more children but you can definitely accent with feminine colors for your baby girl.

Love that changing table! Found one exactly like that for free on the side of the road today. So happy that it will look that cute when painted!!
Feeling kinda behind! We've gotta get DS2 room done so we can move him out before we do the nursery. I've got mostly everything figured out and ordered so at least we will have it all!
@carrieoct15 - It was from Etsy The shop is called Crochetonatree and she will do custom colours and animals. It was £65 plus shipping, so roughly about $150. This is a photo from her Etsy shop. It's beautifully made and she was so helpful.

Ooh, thanks! I didn't notice it was crocheted. I know how to crochet little animals, so I bet I could find a pattern for hot air balloons and make one. Woo! New project!
Well.. This is where we're at, taking down wall paper! Such a good time.
We closed on our house a week and a half ago, we're trying to get as much done as we can before we move in this coming weekend!! Either way, the nursery WILL BE PAINTED (I think I can, I think I can) before Friday. New flooring going in then so everything will be nice and new for baby.
We're team green so we're thinking a woodland type of theme. Great for both genders and we love the outdoors so it's a win on all fronts!

@Ohashfo where did you get the black and white striped bins?!
I really just want to share my Pinterest FAIL, I was going for an Ombre wall for the nursery and well.....It looks horrid. After 2 hours and almost a gallon of paint, I gave up.
