  • Anyone else having drenching night sweats? Apparently it's a hormonal thing, and it'll stick around for longer thanks to breastfeeding. Joys of motherhood huh!

Yes! I am not enjoying it. I don't remember having this issue with my first. I'm about 2 weeks postpartum. Hoping it ends soon!

How long are you guys keeping refrigerated breast milk? Guidelines say 3 to 8 days which is a pretty big range... Posted in breast feeding thread too...

I'll probably go with the guideline and not keep anything past 8 days. Haven't really started a stash yet. But definitely need to so my SO can do some feedings.
  • soo.... I pumped and had enough for a bottle... I took it with us when we went to the Amish Market this morning... When I opened the bottle (the nipple cover) a while oz and a half spilled out on the floor! ;-( I am devastated! I feel pumping I get hardly nothing. Maybe 2 oz together. And this was a 3oz bottle! Ugh! The joys of pumping I guess.

I usually get about 3 oz total when I pump too.

I wish I would consistently get 3 oz each time I pump. DS seems content when I nurse him so I'm happy with that. I just wish I could enough out of pumping for one of those night time feedings for DH to use.

  • I posted a little a few months ago but was always to busy to keep up with everyone, I try to read a lot of the threads on here. Anyway, my daughter is 10 days old and I was wondering if anyone else's baby had thrown up at all? I'm breastfeeding and this morning, last night, and the night before she threw up. Once was while she was eating, and the other 2 were a little while after and while she was laying down. It was a lot, definitely not spit up. I changed her doctor appointment from tuesday to Monday just to check it out but we seem to think she needs to burp better and maybe not lay down flat right after eating. Thanks if anyone has Any suggestions/experience!

Hi, welcome back! I just tagged you in the "Breastfeeding Sucks" thread, where a lot of us have mentioned this very thing. Hopefully you'll find it useful. But let us know what the doctor says, please!
  • Thank you, I read that one after and saw but not sure how to edit :)

Every 2-2.5 hours at almost 4 weeks
  • @house86 every 3-4 hours, but consistently every 2 hours during the day.
TTC: 1/2014 BFP: 9/24 EDD: 6/8/2015 Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.
  • 4 hours then every 1.5 to 3 at 10 days old.
  • Anyone feel like this pregnancy messed up their eyesight? Or am I just getting old? I feel like I can hardly see close now??

Change in vision is completely normal. It should go back to normal shortly after giving birth. I noticed it with DS but not DD. No long term changes though!

Twice .. If that's going to bed around midnight ...
  • I'm formula feeding, but at 4 weeks old, LO eats every 2-3 hours (will sometimes go 4 hours overnight) and typically 3-4 oz each feeding.

@ElRuby I broke down and bought 2 new tops... I felt like a million bucks. Just to have 2 summer tops that fit my giant boobs is amazing.
I can't get my pants zipped and still wear the Bella bands to keep them up. Wonder how long before I break down and buy new pants?!?!
