sigh, i feel like this will be a battle for me and DH. we already can't agree on anything.. i feel like it will be "we'll know it when we see him/her" moment.
I am so jealous of those who already have them picked out!
This is the first time we've agreed and haven't really had to discuss. Third times a charm! Boy: Matthew Frank Girl: Rebecca Marlin (nn Becca) Both middles names are family names.
We keep going back to James for a boy. James Augustus. I will call him "Jimmy." It feels natural to say, "Dammit, Jimmy!" I've been trying it out. It feels right.
For a girl, we have decided on Georgia, but I haven't settled on a middle name yet.
We had a girl name and a boy name picked out with our first. Since he ended up being a big, we still have the girl name to use. If it turns out we're having a boy, it'll be a real struggle. We had a hell of a time coming up with a boy name last time around.
If it's a girl: Eva Rose (last name begins with A)
Both mine and my husbands' great-grandmothers' names were Eva and Rose is a family middle name on my husband's side.
Boy:Caspian Jayce. Caspian because prince caspian and the voyage of the dawn treader he believed in aslan and two daughters of eve and two sons of adam when everyone told him not to. I want him to believe even when others tell him not to. And jayce because fiance wants it girl: Eira Jean. eira means snow and i love snow white i know its cheesey lol but i like the name as well and jean fo my grandma who recently passed i know my mom would be overjoyed
Nothing set in stone and probably won't decide until later but I love the name Caleb for a boy. Colin is 2nd. No idea on girl names... If you asked my this week it's Lucy. DD starts with a "L" so not sure if I want to do another L or something different!
Boy: Jordan Joseph or Avery Joseph (hubby's name is Joseph but I won't go the Jr. Route) Girl: Lilyanna (haven't decided on a middle name yet, my MIL's name is Lillian so it's somewhat after her, my first born's name Is Kailee, and my moms name is Kelly. So I only though it was fair to do the same for my MIL)
Boy: Cohen Tate Girl: I like Canzady Laine (Can-za-dee) my husband likes Kimber Laine
Cohen is a bit of a loaded name and many people find it insensitive. You might want to reconsider.
Cohen is my maiden name - it's bizarre as a first name in my opinion
Are you jewish?
Enlighten me ... why exactly is this a loaded and insensitive name?
I love it. (Grabs popcorn) snarky comments about a name choice that in no way affects you. I mean really. A good friend of my husbands in law school was named Cohen. It is a beautiful name. Maybe she is Jewish. Maybe she is paying tribute to someone who was. Who cares. Adolf, that would be insensitive.
Plenty of Hispanic people name their children Jesus. No one gets worked up. Of course I understand the catholic faith is strong. Still. And better get used to it. Appears it is on a few countries top 100.

ETA: Spelling mistakes
As a Cohen myself, I'm not offended but I think it's a bizarre name. It's like me naming my child Mohammed - it'd be weird, right? But, like I said, I'm not offended; do as you wish.
This article is pretty funny and presents the argument from both sides of the fence. It may help you understand why some people may be offended.
6 weeks today but.... we have a boy name agreed on which is Amazing and probably means we will change our minds! He agreed to the first name then actually to the middle name a day or two ago The girl name is a little more difficult only because of the middle name.
