We're team green too, but even when we knew DD was going to be a girl, we didn't have a name picked until she was born. DS was named as soon as we found out because he is named for my grandfather and my father in law and husband. So we'll go in with a handful of names again I'm sure.

Boy: Cohen Tate Girl: I like Canzady Laine (Can-za-dee) my husband likes Kimber Laine
Cohen is a bit of a loaded name and many people find it insensitive. You might want to reconsider.
Cohen is my maiden name - it's bizarre as a first name in my opinion
Are you jewish?
Enlighten me ... why exactly is this a loaded and insensitive name?
I love it. (Grabs popcorn) snarky comments about a name choice that in no way affects you. I mean really. A good friend of my husbands in law school was named Cohen. It is a beautiful name. Maybe she is Jewish. Maybe she is paying tribute to someone who was. Who cares. Adolf, that would be insensitive.
Plenty of Hispanic people name their children Jesus. No one gets worked up. Of course I understand the catholic faith is strong. Still. And better get used to it. Appears it is on a few countries top 100.
ETA: Spelling mistakes
As a Cohen myself, I'm not offended but I think it's a bizarre name. It's like me naming my child Mohammed - it'd be weird, right? But, like I said, I'm not offended; do as you wish.
This article is pretty funny and presents the argument from both sides of the fence. It may help you understand why some people may be offended.
Little Ruthie or Stella are totally adorable! Your DS has awesome taste, IMO!
I love the name Hudson and know an awesome kiddo with the name. Great personality.
Our #1 boy name is Oliver, too. Incidentally, I also love the name Kennedy for a girl, but am afraid of the bad luck streak so I just can't let myself go with it. This is my own personal issue though and I really think I'm just a crazy person. I named my dog Sonny after Santino from The Godfather and he was bitten by a snake on a backpacking trip at a young age and he passed, so I'm now superstitious about naming babies after those who've died young. ETA e.g. Ophelia or Marlena (nn Marley)
Thank you we are considering them as possibilities. Just not sure if I want to deal with the baby Ruth jokes
I bet it's Delilah too. @pixieann25 unless it's honoring an odd family spelling, I hope you decide to spell it correctly! I think it would be tough for others to know how to pronounce it.

Agreed, I didn't want to say anything but... that's pretty wonky mama. Delilah is an absolutely lovely name, spelling and all. Easily recognizable and still very unique. I doubt she'll run into many other Delilahs throughout her life.
And if it is totally not pronounced Delilah, I am dying to know how it is because the spelling is very pretty if it's a name in itself.

Coming from a Muslim family, I think it's actually flattering for people of different backgrounds to choose Arabic names. There's nothing wrong with it. That's like saying only pick names that are fit for your race/culture. Come on people.
Girl we picked Riley Marie and for a boy we picked Christopher James. Picking out names seemed way too easy for us because we agreed almost immediately.
Girl: Elisabeth Grace (Elsie: after my Grandma on my Mom's side)
Boy: Ephraim Tolar (Tolar: after my Papa on my Dad's side)
**** We tried to pick out names from both sides, but my husband's family is not so strong in the name dept. They have names like, Vernie and Marion, and Albert.)
So far my boyfriend and I have a list of names going but right now our front runners are : for a girl Alyiah or Ryleigh with the middle name Tarah either way significant because it's my aunts name. For a boy we have two names picked out as well we both agree on Camdyn or korbin with two middle names Warren Michael after our fathers !
