Not sure if this is a FFC or an UO Either way. It really makes me twitch when people address someone who is worried about losing the baby with " as long as you aren't cramping and bleeding heavily you are fine" ummmm, not always true. I have had 4 miscarriages and I didn't cramp or bleed with any of them. I so badly want to call out this misinformation, but don't for fear of freaking out the OP. And, yes, I realize it is meant to calm the poster. It just makes me twitch

I know I've stated this and I've said things are "USUALLY" fine ...b/c usually, they are. Yes, there are circumstances where there are MMCs but those are two major things to be on the lookout for a miscarriage.
  • @magburt I had no idea it was back on...that makes me super excited for something to relax with when I finally get a day off on Sunday....how many episodes are up now?

You will realize how appropriate this is when you get a few episodes in.

DH and I were pleasantly surprised to find OITNB on Netflix last night. Early release? We didn't question it. Just watched.

I totally understand where you're coming from. I myself have tried, in a nice way, to say this and I got flamed for it and said I was rude and negative and not being supportive...but clearly, it's possible. It sucks, but it's real. I try hard not to give anyone false hope, I now just say generic statements like, "best of luck" or "hope all is well." As we can see, members are STILL having loses this far along. No one is invisible from a missed miscarriage.

Misinformation is such a big pet peeve of mine. As a medical professional let me tell you it isn't harm free like people think. I spend hours convincing people this random thing they read on an Internet blog or forum is Not true. Why you trust the Internet over your provider is beyond me. We aren't out here to hurt people and if you think we are only in it for the money I have some student loan bills Id like to share lol not to mention the countless times I've gone out and bought something I needed for a patient (like denture paste) that we don't carry in the hospital. We do this job for a reason. Ok I got sidetracked, but I agree I did have spotting and bleeding with all three of my losses but I know sooo many women who didn't. We are all different, if you know deep down something is wrong, get seen!
Exactly! If I was truly concerned, I'd be on the phone with my OB - not posting on an internet forum.

Guilty, I said it today. But it wasn't meant to be a doctors stance. It was more to say that's typically when they say to worry. I would always let someone know that I'm not a dr and to trust your gut.

I was late to work because I was just laying in bed hoping to keep my Popsicle breakfast down (nope). I gave up on food in the morning because it ALWAYS comes back up no matter what it is. Also I can't decide if I should drive 45 minutes for sheetz or 45 minutes in the opposite direction for pizza hut. Maybe just go to my dads (30 minutes away with no "good" food) so I can watch oitnb. Oh decisions are hard.
Hmmmm I vote pizza hut!!! I love their pizza for some reason.
  • My FFFC is I'm getting married in 42 days and I hope my soon to be mother in law doesn't show. She said to her husband she wasn't going to come because she has nothing to wear.... I'm over her bullshit and her drama.
  • @AlexandriaNewton I second that. Umm like why even reply? Confusing.. :D :P ;)

Here's why I feel awful: I have these great services that deliver fresh organic produce, meats and dairy each week (I actually have a milkman named Daryl :)) and I can barely touch any of it. MS is subsiding but my aversions are completely unpredictable.

The result is that the only solid meal I eat is at the Lebanese next to my office, and all this amazing food is piling up at home and going off. I've never wasted food in my life but no local charities are interested in such small quantities..

I should just suspend my services and if I'm miraculously feeling great next week just go to the grocery like a normal person - but will I? So unlikely. I <3 Daryl, and he may well be the last milkman left on earth.
  • I am obsessive about soft pretzels right now. My boyfriend wanted to go out to diner so I had him take me to the mall first just for auntie Ann's. That was my diner.

I went through a phase (when I wasn't pregnant) where I was obsessed with their pretzel bites with cheese. Mmmmm now I want some!
  • Hubby and I got up at 4 freaking am to go fishing in the rain. Oh but it was just a "light drizzle." Where we live the roads flood and landslides happen on a daily! We stopped at Walmart to buy ponchos and snacks..$50 later! Walmart is the devil. So we finally get to the lake, hike a mile to our spot, set everything up and it starts pouring. I sat there like a sad little pregnant woman and we had go pack everything up, hike upwards now, and sit in the car to wait for it to stop. It never stopped. So we drove home and he wanted breakfast, why hubby why! Moral of this is I got up at the butt crack of dawn to basically cook and watch Netflix. We also wasted too much money and now can't go watch Jurrasic World. Wahhh! Lol all for a dang fish.
  • All I can think about right now is drugs.

    Not the fun kind.

The sniffling, scratching, fuzzy head, can't effin sleep kind.

Why can't these things just be safe for the baby? Someone please invent ones that are. Now. Thank you. :((
  • @mtownhespes I want to triple love your post. The spring sniffles are endless.

Also, I got some pretty troubling family news this afternoon. The first thing I thought was, "How am I going to break this to my dad?" But the second was selfish- "I guess I can't share my pregnancy news."
  • @erikaalzet I like the first half, not the second. Hope all works out!

I'm very sorry that you went through this! I'm sure that was extremely disappointing that the day was ruined. Just as an FYI though, the Waltmans are very nice people (at least the ones that I know) and I understand that it would be unlikely that you may come across somebody that would know them personally, however, calling Walmart the devil is a little bit offensive. I'm not trying to be adversarial with you at all, just to let you know that I know one of Sam Walton's kids (obviously they're very grown-up now) and they're very nice people (definitely not the devil.) But I do understand how it can be frustrating that you spend so much money for a day out that you did not get to enjoy. Hopefully, you will be able to use that equipment in the future! And again, I'm sorry mama that your day was ruined.
