What is pumpkin pie sounds abit yuck lol is it a dessert? i always thought pumpkin was a veg.
Where are you from? It's an American staple for Thanksgiving--but it's odd that I'm eating it in June instead of November. It's sweet and delicious. Pie crust with pumpkin filling. Hard to explain if you've never had it. I highly recommend it!
Blech. I can't get down with pumpkin pie. Why sweeten a vegetable that wasn't mean to be sweet! Sweet potato pie is where it's at...but that's the southern girl in me.
I've heard of sweet potato pie, but never tried it. As a northern girl, you don't find it up here. You don't happen to have a recipe that you would recommend? Do you?
I don't bake. Too much of an art for me. My husband makes it from scratch, but it's one of those "add a little bit of that, little bit of this" verbal recipes. Sorry!
Try the frozen kind from Mrs. Smith if you can, just to see if you like it. My mom is southern to the core and she uses that as her cheat when she doesn't feel like making it.
I am a pumpkin loving girl! I think I may have an entire Pinterest board dedicated to pumpkin recipes. I totally agree with @cristinapage72 pumpkin soup is wonderful. Also I have tried sweet potato pie (got to love Hawaii for its many amazing people from all cultures) and it's pretty darn amazing.

Thank you! I may have to order it online because I have never seen it here. One of the nonprofit organizations that I do charity work with is called "pie in the sky" and the charity is called meals on wheels. Every year at Thanksgiving time, they sell pies from local famous chefs and hopefully next year I can request a sweet potato pie! Unfortunately, because I help out a lot with it, I don't always get the flavor pies that I want.
