I am 37 and this will be my first. We have been trying since I was younger, but alas… Hopefully it will be this time around! We would definitely like to have more than one, but we will take one healthy one at a time. Thank you for starting this! It's nice to have other AMA's.
High five, me too. You're like me, we look kiddish for our age Hopefully whatever gene keeps us looking 10 trickles down to our eggs this is my first child, second pregnancy. I got pregnant at 25 but miscarried. I didn't want children at all until i met my husband who was so keen to have them he changed my mind.
Have any of you mommy's decided to do the genetic testing? Any results?
Due to my history, we did our test today the Counsyl test...same as the Harmony test. Also due to our history we do nothing invasive or that poses risk. I've had 6 miscarriages all different than each other and as late as just past 4 months thank God nothing further, I almost lost my marbles as it is. But in one of our baby boys we lost, they sent tissue off for genetic testing and did find a strange sequence. So we've been thru genetic counseling and testing. We will have our results in 7 days. This will help us educate ourselves and prepare for how to provide the right care and parenting for any special needs.
I will be 35 and my husband will be 37 when I deliver. This is my first pregnancy. We first started trying about 14 years ago, adopted 4 children, and now looking forward to welcoming #5 into our family! We did decide to do genetic testing, but I can't remember what it's called. We don't have the results yet.
I'm 35 and this is my first bio baby. I'll be 1 month from 36 at my EDD. My husband (39 in Sept) and I have a 13 son from his previous marriage. I was really worried about the age gap between the kids, but it sounds like there's lots of people in the same boat!
I am 35 and will be 36 at the end of this month. First time pregnant. Due Dec. 28. My boyfriend has 2 kids. 4 and 2, but we've only been together 8 months. New to kids and this lifestyle. Excited, but kinda freakin out as well.
I turn 35 a week before baby arrives. Second time mom. First is 3. Gotta say, this time around it feels a lot better. Less nausea and less tired. Or I'm just noticing it less because I'm running after a 3 yr old.
I am 34 and will be 35 when we deliver (it will be our first) :-) We had Maternity21+ done. All results came back normal and it's a Boy! We had it drawn on the Friday afternoon before Memorial day and had it back by the following Monday so we got results on the 10th day or the 5th business day. I can't believe that they can do it that quickly! We go for the NT scan today so hoping tor good results there too then we will likely skip more invasive diagnostic testing.
I'm 36 on baby #3! I will be 37 in September. So happy to see you all on here!

Hello, ladies! I'm 34, will be 35 this month & he will be 35 in Sept....EDD is Dec 5th. Baby #4 for me and baby #5 for him! So this makes 8 between the 2 of us! :-O
I'm 40 and will be 41 when the baby is born. This is our first! After finding out I had less than a .3% chance of getting pregnant using my eggs we decided to do IVF using an egg donor. The donor was 26 yrs so I'm opting out of genetic testing.

Since we have had multiple losses, we are considering using donor eggs as well. If you don't mind, can I ask you for used fresh or frozen eggs? Our insurance covers fresh, but we still have to pay legal fees so that will be almost the cost of frozen. However, there have been some recent reports that frozen work better? Do you mind my asking how many eggs you got? Obviously you don't need to answer any of these questions!
Im 35 but will be 36 1 week before due date and my mums and partners mums birthday either side of mine. I have 7 yr old already who was 2 weeks early so very nervous about being in hospital xmas or new year x

Oh..and I say I am a dinosaur in reproductive age at my Dr office. They may as well send us to a Paleontologist instead. I had my first at 25, I looked 15.
Im 36 and this is number 5 (last one). I had three kiddos with my first husband. They are 11, 9 and 8. My DH and I have been married almost 2 years and this is our second. Our first is 8 months.
37 & this is our first! It is scary to think about the increased risk of things at this age, but it is nice to have insurance covering the tests & extra ultrasounds! Of course, so far the only red flag has been on the tay sachs test, which would have happened no matter what age I was. Of course they called when we're out of town & I've had to wait until we come back for my husband to go get himself tested to make sure he's not a carrier. On the plus side, my Mom had 6 kids without so much as an ultrasound & only a prayer that everything would be healthy. So, we're lucky to live in this day & age. Although, my man wants to take the internet away from me, I keep looking stuff up & getting worried about something else! sigh... I guess I'll always find something to worry about.
Re: Any AMAs = 35+ out there?
