I have been tempted to create a "I think this is it..." post to make you all hate me and then laugh when I say, "...I've got to take a poo!" And then someone just posted that they think they are in labor. And I still feel humorous. And overtired. Oops.
I googled mine and it's generic enough, nothing came up.
On a completely different note, I am so happy to have DH and DS home. I didn't realize how much I missed DS until he started laughing. Hearing your kid laugh is like doing crack. Except I've never done crack, but I imagine that's what it's like without the withdrawal. You just wait until you hear your baby giggle. Total crack.
Had a dream last night that some one was using my bump screen name and going around framing me for various crimes including stealing a school bus and running it into a football field full of people protesting gay rights in Russia.......... Wtf!?
Started watching the show "Nashville" on Netflix, starring Mrs. Coach Taylor. It's fun, and oddly DH likes it, too. Not a country music fan, so that part's rough, but it's mindless and short enough for me to enjoy right now. Not enough fits that category this week...
I love this show! I am off to see what seasons are on Netflix now, I missed the complete 3rd season due to night grad school, and my DVR jacked up and didnt record
Having so much trouble with this app today. Comments aren't showing up before I post, so I look out of it, and am having trouble Love-ing posts. You're probably kind enough to chalk it up to my prego brain, but if I do something weird, it's the app not me!!
Total random thought but does baby come when baby is ready or does your body go into labor when your body is ready?.... Clearly I need something else to think about ....
@ElRuby they really don't know the specifics for sure, they think it's a combo of both ... Plus many other factors. So that's no help to you at all sorry lol
At the hospital, cervadil is in (side note HOLY OW when she put it in).. Had a bit of a panic attack walking into the hospital, but getting excited now for baby to hopefully make her appearance tomorrow! Honestly can't believe this is actually happening I think I had started to accept that I was just going to be pregnant forever!
im just kind of sitting here laughing (not harshly) at the "trying to naturally induce labour" thread. my EDD isnt till the 28th. and at the rate im going, i need that time to get everything cleaned/done. plus i like the July birthstone more than the typical pink June one.
Does anyone know (preferably nurse wise) if my water breaks and I'm group B negative if I'm allowed to labor at home for a little bit? Just curious. And my water is still intact currently.
Need a vent real quick. So I have an induction officially scheduled for Wednesday morning at 3AM (thanks for that awesome time..). Since its summer and I'm currently on maternity leave, we have been having stepson all during the week to avoid needing to pay for daycare. We told his mom that we couldn't have him Tuesday night/Wednesday, OBVIOUSLY. His mom told us that she didn't have any other options so we "needed to figure something out." THANKS FOR THE HELP CONSIDERING WE DONT HAVE ENOUGH GOING ON IN THE NEXT WEEK!!!!!!! Grrrrrrr...... Then to top it off, she says to let her know as soon as LO arrives so she can leave work and come to the hospital. Now we have an awesome relationship with her and hang out all the time so I have no issues with her coming to the hospital. However, she can leave work to come to the hospital but can't help us with a place for HER SON to stay while we are being induced?!!! So ridiculous.
Feeling relieved. The other Melissa in this small town (which means she knows a lot of the people I know, and has known them for longer) who was due after me but was told by her medical staff she would most likely go early due to health issues on her end... She had her baby today. Good for her. I'm happy for her, I am. And I care not one whit about pregnancy glory or whatever. But I did not want to end up in l&d at the same time as her. She probably would have wanted to hang out and talk or walk the halls together or come visit between rooms afterward... Nope. So hooray for her and her son. Now to see what she names him.

You can do whatever you want! No one is going to know until/unless you tell someone. If you want to know what your particular healthcare providers would prefer, you are going to have to ask them. Probably just call if you don't have another appointment before it happens (if it happens). I'm not a nurse, though.

If your water breaks, and you are delivering at a hospital with an obstetrician, they will want you to come in right away, due to ruptured membranes=increase risk of infection. Most docs want to augment labor so baby is delivered (every where is different but by 24 hours most). However I will tell you, some birthing centers and midwives won't admit you right away just because you are ruptured, they will send you home and let you labor more at home if you prefer.. So really... After you are informed of all the risk, and feel like laboring at home is a better choice for you.. Then go for it. (Obvious without putting anything in the vagina)... Another bit of information, some people are ruptured and don't know it until we tell them, not knowing how long it's been... And it's very common to have an "extra bag" that can rupture, but the main membranes remain intact.
Hi ladies just wanted to check in to say hi... LO is now 5 days old and I have missed keeping up with you all! Was v confused about @virginiaunicorn11 at first. Will prob change username too. I tried before and it reverted back.... Oh Bump, never change!
ALSO - look who decided to show up on the "what you have been doing to try to induce labor thread" .. The classy "punch you in the face"... I don't get it??

Thanks for asking! LO is good! Challenges breastfeeding and consequently her weight but we are headed in right direction. We are on day 6 tomorrow of having LO. It's no joke, the first week is ROUGH. But right now I'm laying in bed with the cutest kid ever sleeping on my chest, so it has its highs!

First few weeks are rough, and the hardest for sure..it won't be like that forever just remember that when you feel overwhelmed..
Just wanted to pop in and let you ladies know that I've heard nothing but horrible things about the bump and the women who use it. Which leads me to believe that those people probably wouldn't have anything nice to say about me either. These forums are full of my kind of people :> I probably won't post very much, but I do enjoy reading the threads. Some are very informational and some are just entertaining as hell (especially when someone decides that being quick on the draw with a meme is "pathetic" and is immediately answered worth more memes and gifs). You guys make me smile. Keep it up!
