I have been tempted to create a "I think this is it..." post to make you all hate me and then laugh when I say, "...I've got to take a poo!" And then someone just posted that they think they are in labor. And I still feel humorous. And overtired. Oops.

  • I've officially switched my nights and days... Well, most likely that will be babies schedule so...whatevs
  • I googled my username and the people who popped up were definitely not me... So that's great! :D

Had a dream last night that some one was using my bump screen name and going around framing me for various crimes including stealing a school bus and running it into a football field full of people protesting gay rights in Russia.......... Wtf!?
  • Started watching the show "Nashville" on Netflix, starring Mrs. Coach Taylor. It's fun, and oddly DH likes it, too. Not a country music fan, so that part's rough, but it's mindless and short enough for me to enjoy right now. Not enough fits that category this week...
I love this show!  I am off to see what seasons are on Netflix now, I missed the complete 3rd season due to night grad school, and my DVR jacked up and didnt record :(

Having so much trouble with this app today. Comments aren't showing up before I post, so I look out of it, and am having trouble Love-ing posts. You're probably kind enough to chalk it up to my prego brain, but if I do something weird, it's the app not me!!
  • This just came up on my Facebook...
  • That came up on mine too yesterday but through an add for buzzfeed!!
  • @ElRuby they really don't know the specifics for sure, they think it's a combo of both ... Plus many other factors. So that's no help to you at all sorry lol
  • @mellymar Yes it's the same exact video... Which makes me feel all weirded out.
  • I don't understand why he would bother posting it here if he was already a "thing" ?!?!

im just kind of sitting here laughing (not harshly) at the "trying to naturally induce labour" thread. my EDD isnt till the 28th. and at the rate im going, i need that time to get everything cleaned/done.
plus i like the July birthstone more than the typical pink June one.
  • Does anyone know (preferably nurse wise) if my water breaks and I'm group B negative if I'm allowed to labor at home for a little bit?
    Just curious.
And my water is still intact currently.

Need a vent real quick. So I have an induction officially scheduled for Wednesday morning at 3AM (thanks for that awesome time..). Since its summer and I'm currently on maternity leave, we have been having stepson all during the week to avoid needing to pay for daycare. We told his mom that we couldn't have him Tuesday night/Wednesday, OBVIOUSLY. His mom told us that she didn't have any other options so we "needed to figure something out." THANKS FOR THE HELP CONSIDERING WE DONT HAVE ENOUGH GOING ON IN THE NEXT WEEK!!!!!!! Grrrrrrr...... Then to top it off, she says to let her know as soon as LO arrives so she can leave work and come to the hospital. Now we have an awesome relationship with her and hang out all the time so I have no issues with her coming to the hospital. However, she can leave work to come to the hospital but can't help us with a place for HER SON to stay while we are being induced?!!! So ridiculous.

@carapoli good luck! I'm all set to induce next Thursday. Yikes! I'm half thrilled, half terrified!

You can do whatever you want! No one is going to know until/unless you tell someone. If you want to know what your particular healthcare providers would prefer, you are going to have to ask them. Probably just call if you don't have another appointment before it happens (if it happens). I'm not a nurse, though.

If your water breaks, and you are delivering at a hospital with an obstetrician, they will want you to come in right away, due to ruptured membranes=increase risk of infection. Most docs want to augment labor so baby is delivered (every where is different but by 24 hours most). However I will tell you, some birthing centers and midwives won't admit you right away just because you are ruptured, they will send you home and let you labor more at home if you prefer.. So really... After you are informed of all the risk, and feel like laboring at home is a better choice for you.. Then go for it. (Obvious without putting anything in the vagina)... Another bit of information, some people are ruptured and don't know it until we tell them, not knowing how long it's been... And it's very common to have an "extra bag" that can rupture, but the main membranes remain intact.

"Extra bag"???? WTF ....now I'm having an anxiety attack because I feel under educated.

Que "which water just broke threads". :)

Haha! I just read it and thought the same thing...right after I worried that my membranes had ruptured and maybe I don't know!
  • Forebag and bag. Don't worry about it. Just know that if your water breaks you need to go in!
  • Half the time I say stuff on here that causes anxiety! I totally don't mean to. Lol
  • Haha thanks guys :)
  • @HayesRN13 ...... Notice how this is her 3rd picture that looks nothing like the other 2. Each drastically different.
