Oh whoa. I wrote that yesterday, then went and read the thread and decided I wouldn't send it because it didn't really fit with the post, but never deleted it... Then accidentally just posted it! Haha, sorry about that!
I like the "how do you know you're having twins?" Thread... I haven't even clicked on it, but.... The dr says there's two in there during the ultrasound? It's twins. The dr says there's one in there? It's not twins.
But, science is only so reliable and every body is different right?? Lol
OMG Kara... It's not even about having twins. It's about a girl that had her appointment pushed off because the doctor had to leave the room. We don't even know if the doctor had an emergency or not. But to make a long story short, she has not had an ultrasound yet so she doesn't know if she might have twins because her belly is so big. Mostly, she wants to make sure that everything is okay.
Don't open the thread! Don't fall down the rabbit hole.
This might be a little nit picky and OCD but I can't even count how many times I've seen "piece of mind" instead of "peace of mind" written here.
Admittedly, I am a repeat offender but that is due to the fact that I speak into my telephone using Siri because I'm lazy like that; and she's stupid.
Not to get even more picky, but is there an English teacher up in this house? I want to know if it is giving somebody a "piece of your mind," just because I'm annoying like that and I would love to know weather it is or is not for my peace of mind. Yes, there will be weather outside whether or not you like it :-)
Haha @BostonBaby1 I definitely wasn't referring to you for that! And I googled it before I posted to make sure I wasn't the crazy one and it is indeed "peace of mind" as in no more worries, and "piece of your mind" as in giving your opinion. So you got it! Lol

Lol! I didn't think that you were referencing me, but I did feel like I should put the disclosure up top because I am certain that of people and through my posts that there are the same mistakes that I was just bashing. LOL! I love puns so this was very enjoyable little post for me. Thanks sweetie!
I keep seeing posts where people's EDD changes. My dr said they only change if it's very off- has to be 8-10 days off. DH says he does the same for his patients. So is everyone changing that much? Or have some people changed their EDD to, let's say, 5 days ahead or back?
Mine US have me measuring ahead but not enough to change it in my dr's opinion.

My doc changed mine at my first appointment. Said baby was 2 days behind so they changed me from 12/24 to 12/26. But that was my only appointment I have my second one today.
I finally tackled this thread...the unread posts were going up so I mostly avoided...but man I've been missing out!!! Can we start complaining about the weight threads yet....a little premature lol...we all know they are coming sooooooonnnn! I heart you ladies!!!
My due date changed because I was using lmp but my doctor was using my positive opk. Changed from 12/16 to 12/19. That was the specialist though, so I'll be interested to see if my regular OB uses that date or not.

@hardlyhannah so it was a 3 day change for you too? Interesting! I measured at least a week ahead both times - they take a few diff angles so it's never the exact day. But they're keeping my due date what it is based on LMP. It would be nice to skip ahead a week

Mine changed by about a week my first appt. then my second appt she changed it again to 1 day earlier. One day!

In my expert experience... My docs said that if it's a week off they change if not, then don't change. It probably differs. But I think on average.
My OB didn't even give me an Edd until after my first u/s. Considering I was calculating a week off, I'm glad he didn't, because it definitely would have changed.

Mine shuffled around a little bit at the beginning. I was extremely difficult to date because I had not had a regular since January 30th. We had an MC on 3/2 they don't like to go off of that for dating. So what we were doing was using both the measurements off the ultrasound and my positive OPK. It took them about a week to come up with a firm date.
Usually they will date you based off of your first ultrasound. This is because everybody ovulates on different days so LMP is not perfectly reliable. However, I was told by both my RE and my MFM that in less if I was 14 days off in one direction or the other they wouldn't discuss changing due dates. So I guess it just depends on the practice? Or maybe these are women that are getting their first ultrasounds and getting accurate due dates based off of them? It is a great question though! The first week I was wondering how many times they were going to change my due date.
Funny thing I haven't mentioned is that my first appt for this baby was supposed to be the Friday a week before Mother's Day weekend, but we had to go out of town, so we moved it to the next Friday - or something like that. Anyway, the date that we went for Emily's first appt (when we didn't know she was Emily yet ) I dated 8w3d. With this baby, 8w3d. I thought that was kind of neat.

Wait.... So you know you're having a girl?!? Did I miss the announcement? Congrats!! Go team pink! Or is Emily your DD's name? I'm confused lol

Your DD has the coolest name ever
Lol thanks for clearing that up!! I WAS confused! I like Em as the nickname for Emily. Too cute.
Omg if one more idiot posts whining that science is wrong and that I'm being mean for being logical, I'm going to flip a table.
What thread is this on? I'd like to contribute
Not 100% sure but I think it's the flutter at 13weeks. There's a lady on there bashing science. Edit... It's called first flutter.
Yes. I just got a response that I was mean and should be super excited that this girl felt a gas bubble. And if I'm going to be "negative" I shouldn't comment.

Did we ever hear if Domsmom is having twins? I guess I could use the search function... but that's science. And I don't like it.
ETA- And I have a poopy diaper to change.
