Anyone else get weird mouth flavor? Right. Now Its something between that "sick" metallic taste like when you have the flu and some kind of musky pungent flavor like soy sauce. Maybe my vitamins are off balance?
Annnnd started with the boob leaking. Thought I was gonna miss that particular symptom. Damn.
I literally felt something drip onto my arm, looked up at the ceiling, searching for a leak, felt another drop, then saw a spot on my shirt.
I yelped, pouted, and hubby's reaction was to be excited and ask to see my nipple! X_X
Went out and bought some nursing pads.
Anyone else been dealing with leaking? It's not been a symptom that I related to before. What can expect?
I've been dealing with it for a few months now. For me, it's not constant and my bras are thicker, so it usually doesn't leak through my shirt. The exception is at night time, I don't usually wear a bra to bed so I've leaked through my shirt a few times at night. But overall, for me, it's been annoying and sometimes uncomfortable but not the worst.
I have a new sensation. The best way I can describe it is like I'm riding a roller coaster, when you go down the hill and your stomach drops. Anyone felt this way? (I'm 35 weeks + 4).
I hope no one gets bitter at me for this. I in no way envy the discomfort everyone is going through. That said, it's starting to freak me out that I have no symptoms. I only have 18 days until my due date and my most severe symptom is peeing twice during the night. I know I should feel lucky because of all the ladies having trouble on this thread, but it's keeping me from being prepared by making me feel like delivery is lightyears away--like I feel so normal I couldn't possibly be close. Where's the BH, leaking, nausea, loss of appetite, soreness, aching, cramps, heartburn, diarrhea, swelling, stretch marks, mood swings, discharge, pee leaks, shortness of breath? Bueller? I had one hemorrhoid like two months ago for about a day. I just feel like a) it's lulling me into a false sense of security, and b) symptoms happen for a reason, because the body is preparing for labor/growing baby in a healthy way...worried that my body will not be prepped for labor and isn't taking care of LO properly! Don't hate me X_X
I've been getting a lot of lightning crotch today. Every time baby makes a move he causes it. Doctor appointment tomorrow, hopefully I've dilated and effaced some more.

This was me last week (currently at 38w6d). Seeing people due after me whose babies were already engaged was getting me all kinds of anxious/jealous. Baby STILL isn't engaged, but at my last appointment, I ran through my symptoms (or lack thereof) and my OB basically said things were progressing at a completely normal pace (which also would've been true if I had been exhibiting said symptoms) and not to freak out yet, especially since I haven't reached EDD. She really put my mind at ease! I hope this helps you!
@karaelaine1991 exactly. I guess I should just be thankful instead of pessimistic that it's been too easy and something must be wrong.
I get it! As much as those symptoms suck, they're typical of the third trimester, so in a way they're a confirmation that things are where they're supposed to be. And when they don't happen, even though it doesn't mean anything's wrong, it's easy to jump to that conclusion. You're not alone!
Well been getting contractions 5 min or less for over an hour now lasting 30-60 seconds. It's weird, they are very uncomfortable but not painful/take my breath away pain that my doc told me to look for. I know I have a very high pain tolerance... but that high? Gonna call in another hour if they keep up. Contractions started last night and have grown closer together. Some painful some not.
Serena. Just be happy and thankful, it is possible and doesn't mean anything bad is about to happen... When I was pregnant with my daughter, I felt great throughout pregnancy! No complaints at all! I loved being pregnant, and then ended up having a smooth and fast delivery. Congrats! (I should mention this pregnancy is the absolute opposite)
Looks like we may be making our 2nd trip to l&d tonight or early tomorrow. I can't function with back pain and stomach cramps. They sent me home last time but DH is seriously worried about leaving me for work 45 minutes away.
I started having contractions @12 am 20 min apart and got no sleep for 40 hours so I tried castor oil 20 hours later not even diarrhea so I went out and got black cohosh @ 1 pm today n still nothing!! Help me I have walked I have danced, we tried sex and premose oil. I have no idea what to do to get this started!!
Lightning crotch is so sharp and uncomfortable that I gasp and wince and groan when it happens. My husband always thinks I'm having major contractions or something because it's so bad. Anyone else?
@Serenamarr try to just enjoy this, like @HayesRN13 I also had no symptoms at all (that weren't hyperemesis related) at the end of my first pregnancy and all that happened was an easy labor/delivery & recovery I personally was very thankful for the calm before the storm after the fact because it really left me in a good place mentally to be dealing with a newborn. Embrace it while it lasts!
@house86 Honestly, I'm not sure! The contractions I do have don't hurt, and there is no real pattern. For now, I'm going to hang out at home and see what happens.
Symptoms include contractions, nausea, vomiting. Admitted to l&d now, still have a way to go, but at 38 +5 weeks looks like baby girl will make her appearance tonight.
I was not celebrating..... I got the worst migraine last night and It lasted all night and all afternoon. Longest one I've had yet. Thank you guys so much for checking up on me! @ngaines27@karaelaine1991 Makes me feel so loved! ..... And they say were so "mean" on here! I called my dr on call and got some more fioricet with codiene. I'm loopy...... But so much better.
I had a dream my water broke. I could even feel the pop in my sleep. Now every bit of moisture I feel makes me think, what if it wasn't a dream!?!? I think I'm going crazy.
@ngaines27 thank you so much for the nice words. My dad actually texted me today and asked if the neurologist or my dr has checked my thyroid....... He never told me until now that my stepmom (8 yrs ago) with my brother had migraines during pregnancy and it turned out her thyroid levels were off. Kind of surprised no one has checked that. Have you had yours checked? I know you get the migraines as well.

I did have my thyroid checked, actually. It was around 28 weeks. But they checked it because I've been having episodes of tachycardia, not because of the migraines (or so I understood). Everything looked fine though, so it isn't what's causing either, I suppose.
Maybe you should bring it up at your next appointment? If you do, keep me updated.
@dirtymartini I've had an increase in lightning crotch this weekend. Some of them are bad enough to make me stop whatever it is I'm doing and take a breath, and I'll usually mutter something unintelligible "nunnhh!". I didn't realize how often I was doing it until he came home today (he's been on duty all weekend) and now each time he's asking if I'm OK, if I'm having contractions. Nah bro, I'm just being kicked in the lady bits and then they are holding it there for a few. I'm OK (ish)
@mlouis225 best of luck to you. Only advice I have is - Patience, young padawan
@klkonwi I was wondering where you were. I'm sorry you had another headache. Glad to hear you're feeling a little better
Kind of struggling with the decision of...... Do I stay up and chug some water because I didn't drink enough being in bed all day ? And peeee all night. Or just "try" and sleep. I kind of feel like dog crap.
@klkonwi that's a tough one. I'd say drink, might help with fending off the migraine. Sorry you feel like poo. Wishing you a restful night sleep.
I have the worst heartburn tonight. Verping is emanate. I'm also snippy and jealous of friends and DH who can drink. All I want is a quality margarita. (

Ah yes, the never ending struggle of two evils. Although you have the migraine threat making it so much worse. Yuck. Hope you feel better - and get those thyroid levels checked! Mine resolved such weird symptoms for me (not headaches though - good luck, m'dear).
Re: Weekend symptoms thread. Swollen, tired, crampy, or cranky? If you're feeling it post it HERE!!!
I am strep b+ so I am gonna get on antibiotics and being induced in little bit since I don't have any contraction pattern yet
Damn.
