I'm a teacher turned entrepreneur. I own my own educational company and work from home a lot. I have had hyperemesis. I would not have functioned as a classroom teacher! I've been having my assistant take over almost all teaching for my company unless I'm totally needed. Hopefully soon I can be back on track!
I used to be a locomotive engineer. After doing that job as a single mother of twins for five years, I decided to leave. Best thing I ever did! I met my husband had a daughter and now we have another LO on the way. I am fortunate that I get to be a stay at home mommy right now.
I am a DHI specialist. That stands for dairy herd improvement. I travel to different dairy farms through out Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio and collect milk samples and records from the farm. My largest hers is 1700 cows and my smallest is 15. Lots and lots of driving and my hours are NEVER the same. Plus lots of standing and heavy lifting. Anxious to see how all that agrees with me end of August, September, and into October.
Graphic designer. I work full-time at a company, but I also have a small side business designing as well. I've minimized how much I'm taking on these days...mainly because I can't stay awake past 8:30 pm...
I'm a child protection worker at children's aid society. It's a super hard job to do while pregnant but luckily my boss is very supportive and flexible!
I'm a stock broker. Customer service can be great. Can also be hell. But my patience has completely ended with pregnancy and I find myself losing my train of thought in the middle of explaining something that I have said 1,000 times. So strange. I want to stay home too or work from home or start part time to rest and prepare physically and mentally for baby. I just can't give 100% at work and come home ready to plan and think about this huge life change. And yes this is my first baby!
I just quit as founder and director of my own theater company. We're moving out of town and I'm going to be a purely SAHM for a few years. Could NOT be more happy about it.
I'm a professional bodybuilding and physique coach, and run my own online training and nutrition company. I love my job since its primarily online, and I will have a lot of flexibility once the baby arrives. As for nausea, I have been sick every morning and every night since I found out. Hoping this part will pass soon!!
I am a cake decorator . I work full time the nausea isn't too bad I am 10 weeks 3days. It comes and goes from day to day and my stomach only get really upset if I smell something that is at work aka fried chicken. lol
Omg I wish I could be a cake decorator!!! I love making cakes but they always look BLaH but taste great.
I'm a print buyer at an advertising agency. Luckily I was able to find a nice work/life balance after having my DS. Hoping it will be as easy after #2.
This is one of the most interesting threads I've read on here! Such a wide variety of professions! I'm currently an emergency phone operator but I really want to strive to go back to school and get a degree and do something I truly love...so that my first child will see that it's never too late and anything can be done if you put your mind to it
I'm an MD but not practicing medicine now. My family owns several businesses and I am VP of a consulting company in Manila now. The past 4 months though I've been on bedrest because of SCH. So I'd say my current profession is bum
Im an Outdoor Recreation Instructor at a school camp venue. The fresh air has been awesome for queasiness...which has only really hit me in the afternoons, when I get home☺
Professional Musician Planning to transition to stay at home with baby this fall but hoping I can still find time to do concerts here and there. I wish I had some of your baking skills- cake sounds so amazing right now!
