This is a public forum I think people forget that. People will have differing opinions. I think you are confusing a differing of opinion as bashing. Not everyone is going to agree with you in life. Wow. Guys, I adore different opinions. It is what makes the whole world go round.

What ticks me off and has ticked me off, is that the OP stated what she was looking for. What has happened is you guys the pro vaxxers, have attacked any anti vaxxers. Saying things like we're "spreading misinformation" and "fear mongering". In your own words, you are putting fear into those parents minds who chose not to vaccinate. You have claimed an absolute that you are correct, and those who feel differently are wrong, and that we are putting everyone else at risk. Oh! Not to mention, it doesn't matter if it is our choice for our children, they are their own entities. Might as well just take all children away and put them in a government run institution then. Pshh, who needs parents. Nevermind that big Pharma is a corrupt, money grabbing, political run company! Never mind the ingredients found in vaccinations, never mind the many MANY LAWSUITS FILED AGAINST BIG PHARMA!!!!!! But as you have said, we haven't done our research. Our motherly instincts are no good.

And as for the guidelines I posted. She asked for specifics, asked that there was no bashing or negative comments, and not to mention was asking SPECIFIC people. I wasn't mentioning those who peacefully gave their opinions. I was referring to those who use terms that are absolutes. As in: 'fear mongering, spreading misinformation and inaccurate information.' Constructive disagreement and attacking a person for their beliefs are two different things.

Take my own advice? Now you're just throwing things out there....

Is this better?

It is my opinion (that is backed by all peer reviewed scientific evidence) that vaccines are the intelligent choice and that it is irresponsible not just to your child but society in general to choose not to vaccinate because it puts others at risk for disease.

That's stating my opinion that is supported by facts and not attacking anyone.

DD is fully vaccinated and so will this one. My pediatrician's office requires children to be fully vaccinated in order to be a patient, her former daycare required it, her play group is pro vaccines. I choose these specifically for that reason. I do not want my child to go to the dr for a virus and be exposed to measles or something even worse.

Agreed, all schools in my area, even daycares, you need to bring in immunization forms and all vaccines need to to up to date !!! And where I'm from we have no serious disease and low spread illness (; !

There are exemptions in every state, so you definitely have unvaxxed people. Disease is spread more in areas of high international travel. My kids will be up to date by the time we move to Orlando and that is a factor for me.

Vaccination is mandatory in most of Canada, especially in Nova Scotia where I'm from ! But in Canada we also don't get many diseases, like polio, usually it doesn't make it this far !

None of that is bullying, it is facts. Unvaccinated people are a threat to public health. They can carry diseases that can kill the immunocompromised. There is no arguing that. You may not like my tone, and she clearly doesn't know the definition of immunocompromised (as she has proven), but it's still plain and simple facts. Facts The reality that diseases kill should scare people, it's the truth.

I'm sorry that you don't like cold hard facts, but that doesn't make it bullying. Sometimes reality is scary.

Lyme disease is quite popular here, we don't have vaccines for it, and we don't do treatment other then 2-6 week antibiotics, but once it goes to far, we have to travel to USA for treatment if we wish !

I will be vaccinating. I see no clear reason not to keep my child protected. The only vaccination that's out is the flu shot. I've never had one and 25 yrs later I'm perfectly fine

Vaccines are the reason I do not want to have to put my child in day care when I have to go back to work. I'm going to try my best to keep my child out of them until he/she has had the majority of their Vaccines. I do not want my child catching some deadly disease because other parents didn't feel like vaccinating the child.

When someone's "beliefs" go against science and logic while also putting other people at risk, they don't deserve mine or anyone else's respect.

Choosing not to vaccinate may be your choice, but just like drinking and driving is a choice, we all know that unintended DEADLY consequences happen. Please keep your unvaccinated children out of an public space so that the rest of us can stay safe.

Also, this is a public forum and you aren't an admin. You can't just declare a conversation over. That's not how this works.

No one is trolling. You honestly would not have lasted 5 minutes on The Bump a year ago. Life is not all sunshine and rainbows and people are going to disagree with you here just like in real life.

Your "choices" for your child isn't just affecting you and your children, it's putting everyone around you at risk, especially elderly people and infants ... How do you not see that ?!

Non vaccinated kids do not spread these diseases. It's foreign people coming into the USA and other countries illegally. Part of the reason immigration is controlled is to see that people aren't coming in with these diseases. When people come illegally there are chances that they might have something that is dangerous to the rest of the population. I haven't decided what I am going to do yet as far as vaccinating my child. I just wanted to add in where these diseases that have been eradicated are really coming from.

That could be one possible reason to where they are coming from, but an unvaccinated child/person could easily spread these a lot quicker then a vaccinated child/person !
